Carwin/Nelson is soooo random. Carwin has been out for over a year and Nelson, while an entertaining guy is no better than a gatekeeper. The fight should be good though.

I want them to coach flyweights for the lulz.

Pearson/Sotty is weird too. Its too soon to put Bisping on again and Australia doesn't have any real stars but isn't Sotty still at 155?

Nelson/Carwin are cool choices though and the fight should be good.

1 million was what I figured, which he should be psyched about as buyrates have been in the shitter, and 148's card wasn't as strong as 100 overall in the first place.

1 million was what I figured, which he should be psyched about as buyrates have been in the shitter, and 148's card wasn't as strong as 100 overall in the first place.

I heard Meltzer's estimate and I heard some Brazzilian TV station's estimate of 1.6 million. We'll know soon enough.

Either way, it's obvious that Anderson vs. Chael brings the buyrates. Maybe set up a card with Anderson/Weidman in the main event and #1 contendership - Chael vs. Lombard (if he gets past Boetsch that is) or Franklin/Belfort as the co-main?

I mean, you COULD sell Anderson/Chael III.

Read an article on MMA Junkie that made me feel bad for every Strikeforce fighter, especially the guys on Saturday's card. I guess their presser was a ghost town and the advertising for the event has been shit, hell even their sponsor money is shit right now. Made me feel like ordering the event out of pity, I feel for these guys because they're extremely talented guys and true athletes but they aren't getting any spotlight.

I read that and you figure this card would be promoted because it has name value on it. I've heard that Zuffa is doing their best to push Showtime to advertise SF more but its been useless. The card looks good

That is a main card with former UFC guys/name fighters. Why no promotion

All I care about in the Woodley-Marquardt fight is that we get to see more of Tyron's mom in the crowd yelling praises unto the lord. That was one of my favorite SF moments of all time

I liked Rockhold a lot until he bitched about Anderson's victory over Chael. Tim Kennedy also cried a river, but I never could stand Kennedy and still hope Rockhold beats the living hell out of him.

Also, Donald Cerrone vs. Melvin Guillard has been announced as the co-main event for UFC 150. This fight is nowhere near worthy of being a co-main event, especially with how shitty Guillard has looked recently, but it's still a fun fight. I think Cerrone takes it.

Guillard will probably get subbed, and a RNC at that. He is a pretty exciting fighter but has minimal sub defense. Cerrone had so much steam heading into the Diaz fight then he lost it all when he just sort of stood there for 12 minutes doing nothing.. A year's worth of effort gone in 15 minutes

Its odd a lot of people seem to have issues with Kennedy. I've never been able to pinpoint it why but part of me dislikes him as well. Unless Kennedy wrestles him for 25 minutes Rockhold should beat him

Kennedy's boring, a Greg Jackson apologist, and he constantly throws the military shit in our face. Brian Stann was a marine and a true hero, and the UFC are the ones that promote his accomplishments within the marine corps; however, Stann is very humble about it all. Kennedy on the other hand is smug and arrogant about it. He just rubs me the wrong way.

As a Cerrone fan I feel like he deserves better but this is what he got and he'll take care of Melvin no problem. That Diaz fight was all mental, when Don lets people in his head he stands there the whole fight doing nothing and it's frustrating as fuck when you're watching and you know he could beat the guy if his head were clear, and that's coming from a guy who loves Nate as well.

As for Kennedy I agree about him trying to build his career and gain momentum with his military life, Stann tries to avoid it and be respecful about it but Tim wants the whole world to know. I still respect him for what he does in the cage and in the army but I'm not a fan. I enjoy Rockhold and I hope he can avoid the ground and give us a fun fight on the feet, and if he could beat Jacare he can beat Tim Kennedy.

Brian Stann is one of the most well spoken and respectful fighters to ever grace MMA. The guy is what everybody should strive to be. Kennedy is annoying as fuck, that's all that needs to be said.

Couldn't agree more, that's why the guy is my hero in and out of the cage. I entered that Team Gaspari sweepstakes thing where if you win you get a private training session with either Brian or Frankie Edgar. Oh please let me win.....working striking with Stann would be even cooler than the day Melendez lead our No Gi class at Gracie.
