Noteworthy/Discussion Topics:
  • Depending on your interest in TUF/Bellator, this month is either jampacked with a lot of MMA or it's going to be a long month for you.
  • Anderson Silva vs. Chael Sonnen might not happen in Brazil.
  • Nick Diaz may or may not be retired. Either way, he's suspended.
  • Frankie Edgar refuses to drop to 145.
  • Chandella Powell may or may not be with the UFC still, who knows, due to her history in lesbian porn
  • Speaking of gay porn, there is a TUF Competitor who appeared in gay porn films. Prepare for rampant homophobia in the TUF house.
  • Spike is counterprogramming Live TUF with Kimbo Slice.
  • Is Rampage Jackson done?
  • Diego Sanchez vs. Jake Ellenberger was an exciting fight. It needed five rounds. Was making non-title main event fights three rounds on Fuel a bad idea?

"I was very surprised. I felt like a child because that was the first time I celebrate my birthday with a cake. I came from a poor family, and I thank all my friends from BTT for giving me this moment of happiness".

Haha... Paul Harris is awesome. There's just something so child-like about him; you just want to see him succeed.

And damn, thank God for Bellator, huh? If it wasn't for that promotion, we wouldn't have any MMA stuff this month after this weekend.

Well, bad news is, I haven't found anywhere to buy Like Water yet and won't be watching it until I am able to remove it from a case and place it into my PS3. I did find Final Fantasy 9 on Amazon though, that should be here tomorrow.

Yeah man, I'm the same way.

It should get a release soon. Not only is it about one of the most popular MMA fighters there are, but it was a big hit on the film festival circuit.

Cant edit on my phone, but i should probably add in that his fiancee is in fact, a female.

I don't think there will be any more homophobia in the TUF house than there was for Nick Ring.

Rampage is done. He's been on the decline since the Forrest fight, but Jon Jones beat whatever he had left out of him. He was supposed to run over Ryan Bader. He got run over instead.

I hope Joe Warren gets beaten so badly in the cage he can never fight again. He sucks.

Frankie Edgar shouldn't drop to 145. He's still one of the best lightweights in the world, and if he had actually done something with the caught leg kicks instead of punching off of them, he'd have won. I think he beats Bendo in a rematch, but I certainly hope he takes a fight before the rematch so he can regain his swagger.

Anderson Silva is going to end Chael's career as a legitimate fighter in the rematch. Chael should be happy as hell it's getting delayed.

Nick Diaz will never fight mma at a high level again. He's used up his chances. He'll probably attempt pro boxing. He'll get murked badly within the first 5 fights. Nate Diaz, on the other hand, will be the UFC's 155 lb champ by mid 2013.

The first thing I bolded I just wanted to say is a little extreme. It's not like Joe Warren is a shitty person like Junie Browning or War Machine. He's just trying to make a living and should definitely have that right. I would never wish a fighter to never be able to fight again unless they were just a terrible person, like my examples.

The second bold was just for the lols. If Diaz wants to come back then he will certainly fight at a high level. He is a great fighter and the uncrowned champion of the WW division. He won that fight, fucked up, and if he wants to come back then he can beat anyone in the division, with the possible exception of GSP. No doubt about that at all.

Joe Warren is old, and the jig is up on him. At this point, after he got KTFO'd, he's bad for Bellator's business, because their "dominant" champ got smoked. Not to mention that he's very limited. The sooner he's gone from the sport, the better off Bellator will be.

Diaz did not beat Condit. He lost, quite clearly in fact, because he was outclassed from bell to bell. Mindlessly walking forward because you're so limited you can't do anything else doesn't win you big time fights. His footwork is absolutely atrocious, and has been his entire mma career and Condit knew it and exploited it. He wasn't running, he was circling away from Daiz strengths. You don't significantly outstrike somebody by running.

Like I said, he's used up his chances. He may get another shot in the UFC if he desires, but it won't have any title implications because he can't be trusted to not fuck it all up. Not to mention, Condit let everybody in on Diaz's major weakness. He can't move laterally. Others will exploit it from here on out, and Nick knows it. That's why he "retired".

I'm not saying Warren isn't old and maybe should consider retiring, but hoping someone beats him so bad that he leaves the sport is a little extreme. One loss to a heavy hitter is not that big of a deal. Warren can still compete, and while I don't really care for him as a fighter, I do think he can still compete. That said, I would like to see someone get the belt off of him.

As for the Diaz fight, I disagree so much with everything you have said, but I am not the right person for this argument and will gladly let someone else. It was a close fight, not clearly at all in Condit's favor.

Don't worry about debating me about Diaz/Condit, a couple people already did in the MMA section. My arguments are pretty clear there.

My thing with Diaz is way too many people have bought into the hype and didn't notice/want to notice that he was given clutch matchup after clutch matchup with brawlers with poor cardio and when he was finally given an opponent who fights smart and has good cardio, well, you know the rest.

Name somebody else with the striking and movement skills of Condit in the Welterweight division. There is only one and that is GSP. There are two people in the entire division that can implement that style of fight against him and they are the top two Welterweights in the world.

You are under the impression that every person Diaz fights from now on will be able to beat him by simply moving latterly and you're flat out wrong, just like you were when you said most of what Rogan says while commentating is wrong. Nick Diaz is still a top 5 Welterweight in the world and while others may beat him in the coming years, they won't do it by "exposing" his weakness of lateral movement because there is simply nobody fast enough to do so.

How can you say all of this about Nick and then say Nate Diaz will be Lightweight Champion in 2013? They're virtually the same fighter, except Nick is better and fights in the easier weight class.

Martin Kampmann

Thiago Alves

Nate Marquardt

Tarec Saffedine

That's four, actually.

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Kampmann got knocked out by fucking Paul Daley and took plenty of big shots from Diego in their fight. Diaz would eat him alive.

You want to talk about padded records? Look at Thiago Alves' wins. He's the most overrated Welterweight in MMA, period.

Nate Marquardt doesn't even deserve a response.

And Saffiedine has yet to beat anyone significant in his career and looked completely mediocre in his last fight, and you want to put him on a list of guys who could beat Nick Diaz? Really?

I didn't say they could beat him. I was answering the question of who has the striking and movement of Carlos Condit. They all do.

As far as Nick/Nate, here's how Nate is better. Nate has the ability to adjust on the fly, has better footwork, and sits down on his punches a little more (which is completely related to better footwork, by the way). He deals with wrestlers far, far better too.

Such an assumption to say Nate deals with wrestlers so much better than Nick when Nick hasn't fought a wrestler in years. All we know is that his BJJ has improved significantly since he fought Sanchez and Sherk. Truth is, we don't know how Nick deals with wrestlers now so you simply cannot say Nate is better against the,

Nobody you named has the skills of Condit and they would not be able to escape once Diaz got them up against the fence. Condit is far more athletic and has far better movement than everybody you've named. Alves may have better all around striking than Condit but he is much shorter and much slower, not to mention his T-Rex arms. Marquardt may have better wrestling than Condit, but he is much less explosive and much slower than Condit. Kampmann and Saffiedine are both laughable.

March looks like a great month for MMA! Being a pretty big Bellator fan, I'm pumped for the 3 weeks in a row of it.

Like I said, Nick gets some plum matchups Everybody in mma knows he has a problem dealing with wrestlers, so Gary Shaw, Scott Coker, then Dana White carefully danced around it because they wanted to put him in "exciting" fights, so they give him guys that will brawl with him.

Kampmann is laughable? He's got some of the best technical kickboxing/boxing in all of mma. If you remember, he was able to outbox Carlos Condit. His biggest problem is a tendency to get lulled into brawls.

Look, we're not going to agree about Nick Diaz's deficiencies, and that's okay. You were part of the thread in the mma section too. Differences of opinions are what makes forums go around. Sometimes it's better to tap out of an argument than keep going when the two parties opinions are never going to change. So let's just agree to disagree.

My original comment about Nick Diaz not fighting at a high level again was more related to his innate ability to fuck up anyways. You only get so many chances at the highest levels of mma and he's running out of them. He can't be trusted to be put into the highest profile fights because his chances of screwing it up somehow, even if he wins, are extraordinarily high.

So Rousey.....I think now that she's won 8(5 pro) straight fights in the 1st round by armbar, she's got that sub down. Congrats to the new Women's Bantamweight Championship, I'm pissed Meisha lost but that was goddamn impressive, if she does the same to Kaufman I'll be blown away.

Where the fuck have you been?

Also, Ronda rules so much because she's hot, has Sonnen's personality, and hates limbs as much as Palhares.

Been prepping for a voice over/singing audition with an agent in Burbank. It's tomorrow and if I do well it means I could get some great opportunities. It's been killing me being deprived of my MMA tho, I've been reading result for like the last 4 cards.

What do you think about Lil Couture? I was pretty inpressed with him last night, he looked very solid against probably his toughest opponent yet and considering he's 18 months into his career he could do the Couture name proud. Sure he'll never be randy and he's not amazing but he can get there if he keeps it up.
