**MERGED** Finally.. The Rock... has come back... HOME (KEEP IT ALL IN HERE!)

How many times will we see the Rock?

  • Wrestlemania, the grand-daddy of 'em all. That's it.

  • Maybe one Raw.

  • TWO!!!!!!!

  • I reckon a good deal of appearances on WWE, including Web work and video promo's.

  • All the time, like on Smackdown as well. lol.

I'm such a dork! LOL!

I've rewound that promo 3 or 4 times already and I think I'm gonna do it one more time!

It's like I've been clean and sober for over 7 years and someone spiked my soda with a mix of cocain and jack daniels.

The way it looks from this vantage point, the only logical way to go here, assuming the Rock vs Cena WM rumors are true, is for John Morrison to win the Raw EC match, and have him battle Miz for the strap at WM.....Just sitting here thinking, what a fucki' card we're going to have this year:

IMO, Four Main Events (in order of when the match will take place at WM):

1) Miz vs Morrison (Miz retains)
2) Edge vs Del Rio (Del Rio wins)
3) Rock vs Cena (Rock wins)
4) Taker vs HHH (Taker wins, HHH's career over)

WOW...........it's a definite buy for me....the only worry for me in seeing a Rock vs Cena match is that Rock is "hosting" WrestleMania, and at the end of his promo, he says he'll see "both the Miz and John Cena at WrestleMania". Not sure how to interpret that as far as making the card...

I have NEVER heard a pop like that for someone and that includes Hogan, Austin, anyone!! I got goosebumps. The Rock was The Rock and he absolutely OWNED Michael Cole...know your damn role and shut your damn mouth!! About time someone told Cole to piss off. Cena-Rock on the mic will be epic!

I thought the POP was very good, but not phenomenal. For todays standards its probably the best in years but there has been much, much better pops in wwe's history

the rocks been my favorite forever I was excited but im pretty sure he will just end up being the special guest referee for miz vs cena

but if somehow its rock vs cena congrats to vince cause after brock vs undertaker and sting vs undertaker rumors this is the only match i could think of that would draw more.

Finally The Rock Has Come Back HOME! I was hoping it would be him and it was, what a Moment in WWE History. Loved his Promo and even I like John Cena but Rock's mocking of Cena was hilarious. I also loved him ripping Micheal Cole and doing all his catch phrases. Welcome Back Rocky,we missed you. I can't wait to be at Wrestlemania 27.

rock's reaction was a typical rock reaction. Defintiely i thought it could have gone higher but cant because some of the kiddies had no idea who the rock is.

The best RAW in a such a long time for me. I marked out when I saw The Great One return with a sweet ass new theme. And when he called out Cena, just epic. I know for a fact Rock is here to stay for a while and hopefully (I can dream right) The Rock may agree to a match with Cena. If Bret can wrestle a match then Rock certainly can too.

Get out of here Nev, wait till you see the ticket buys and ppv buys just based on this one moment. The Rock is not the biggest name in the wrestling world of all-time but he is definitely the biggest mainstream wrestling name of all-time.

This just made Wrestlemania huge, I can live with Triple H-Taker now and if that does happen to be Sting it makes it that much better.

One note right at the first when Rock comes out, he kind of does the Aaron Rodgers title belt move. Maybe nothing just a little something to note. I personally don't see him wrestling but it definitely sounded like it was a possibility.

So glad to see Rock make such a great comeback. I know that it's likely just a one time thing, and that he'll probably leave again after 'Mania, but it's still so much fun to watch.

if he's really back back, Vince McMahon then offered the rock an insanely amount of money that he couldn't refuse. something along the lines of, he could be making more in a year working with wwe then he could with the movies.

I know we all are talking about tonight, but what about next week? If the Rock is there, it could easily be one of the greatest Raw's we have seen in a LONG time. The Rock, the Undertaker returning, aftermath of the Elimination Chamber PPV. It could be fantastic next week!

YEEESSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE GREATEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol, maybe not. But this is still one of the most exciting thing's to happen with proffesional wrestling in a LOOOONG time. The promo he cut was absolutely fantastic, I hope the young star's backstage were taking notes.

Oh, and I loved the way he Pwned Michael Cole, had me in tears of laughter!

Ok, first off, I FUCKIN LOVED THAT PROMO!!! BTW, did Rock look Jacked or what???? Far cry from how small he looked back at WMXX...
Hard for Vince to keep Cena a Face (and I've been so anti-Cena Heel turn).
Now onto the reality of this. Rock DOES have a movie coming out... Rock DID get paid nicely for this appearance. That whole talk about being Home and never leaving again sounds good, but once the buzz from the Dwayne Johnson Kool-Aid wears off, we have to know that he's not back for good and not gonna compete. Tonight's promo was simply to increase buy-rates and interest in the card that had lacked any sizzle...
Again, this was Classic Rock and a GREAT promo, but I wouldn't get too excited about it...

I was sitting here half expecting & really, really, really hoping it was The Rock, even after the heels. When his music hit, I freaked. Seeing him back in the ring & hearing him drop every catchphrase made me feel all fuzzy. We all have seriously missed this kind of sports entertainer. Who wasn't glued to the tv for those wonderful 20 minutes The Rock was cutting his promo? Incredible. He mocked The Miz (my fav, and I wasn't even mad :p ), threatened Michael Cole, and basically called out Cena. Just wow. The road to Wrestlemania is going to be a great one. I was extremely excited about going to Wrestlemania before, but now my excitement is multiplied by like 10.

Get out of here Nev, wait till you see the ticket buys and ppv buys just based on this one moment. The Rock is not the biggest name in the wrestling world of all-time but he is definitely the biggest mainstream wrestling name of all-time.

I agree with you're saying here, but the other guy was saying this pop was the best ever. I just don't agree with that at all. I thought the initial pop was great but the some parts of the audience seemed somewhat lethargic. Or maybe its surround sound, lol.

It is a little disappointing that he won't make another appearance until Wrestlemania. Not confirmed yet but nothing he said never gave me the indication that he's going to be on RAW these next few weeks. Still, regardless if he never shows up on RAW and only wrestlemania the ratings will still be huge. Can't wait to hear more about what Rock meant when he said "I'm never, ever leaving" (I believe it was)

Such a great moment for the WWE and the PG era. It was awesome to see The Rock finally return to the WWE in the flesh and not on the titan tron in a pre-taped video. That place exploded when he came out which proves that The Rock still has it, even with the new fans and the PG era. It was also great to see The Rock break the PG rule and curse like no one has done in years. Hearing him say "sum bitch" was the highlight of the entire promo for me because it showed that the WWE knew how big this moment was and that they couldn't interfere with what he was saying, as long as it was FCC appropriate. Hearing him run down Cena was brilliant and has brought that entire feud that Cena started back from the grave. It also set up what may be the biggest encounter/match the WWE has had in years. In one night I went from having no interest in Wrestlemania to being ready to shell out the money for it. This is what the sports entertainment world is all about.

It was a great entrance and promo but its nothing to get crazy about and have gay orgasim unto, we see what's the Rock's Role will be at Mania. I just don't see anyone paying over $60 to see The Rock just be the host or a guess Ref or enforcer for Cena Vs Miz. He needs to be on every Raw leading to Mania and actually be in some type of match at Mania. (1. Rock vs Cena , 2. Rock vs cena vs Miz, 3. Rock,Orton & Cena Vs Nexus )

I loved the Rock's return as much as everyone here, but I am still remembering he was no longer interested in Wrestling. So I can get him being around till Wrestlemania, but him actually saying he is coming back too stay really contradicts him not wanting to wrestle anymore. Hell even if you put him on just an on air role and not wrestle would still be straining because he'd still have to travel everywhere the Shows go.

When the Dust settles we will see what this MARK Out Europhic Commitment of him staying and being Back "Home" in the WWE will last.

I am absolutly in no way shape or form a mark for the ROCK but he just showed what has been wrong with wrestling the last 7-8 years none of the wrestlers today have his charisma his promo skills his ability to come out and have the crowd in the palm of his hands, it realy took me back to the attitude era I felt 15 years younger, if that wasn't a holey shit moment I dont know what the fuck is, thank you ROCK now burry Cena and this pg shit.

;_; It was so beautiful....

The Rock's promo was the best face promo we've seen since he left. It was pretty cool that he didn't plug a movie either. Everybody's been talking about that special attraction Wrestlemania needed---look no fucking further. I didn't really think it was going to be him. Man was I a happy man tonight. The heels scared the hell out of me at first, and I didn't like his new theme music, but othe than that the entire thing was amazing, especially his cutting down of Cena. I'm not a Cena hater, but it was like we was smacking down everything about the PG era. It's amazing that after 7 long years he still cuts the best promo in the business. What was better is that the crowd was LOUD. I haven't heard them that loud for that long since Austin and Rock left. It was so nice- I felt like it was 2001 again. That was one of those moments that you record. It was one of those moments that could make cancer more agressive.

The only criticism I have is that I didn't like how he gave the fans some kind of hope that he was going to be a full time wrestler again. Other than that, it was completely amazing. I felt like I had a moment of clarity.

First off gotta admit felt a bit of a tool when I completely marked the fuck out when the great one appeared (proper arms in the air and whooping shit lol). Secondly quite possibly one of the best promos I have seen in a verrrrrry long time. Is there any possibility that he may have signed a legends contract with the 'E'?? Hence the never leaving statement. Or is he actually back on a semi full time basis? Either way one of the best raws I've seen. I'm still pumped now it's like 6 am here and I can't sleep. Haha

I was watching Raw in a room by myself and still screamed like crazy because of how excited I was to see my favorite wrestler return. Needless to say, he did not disappoint. All I could think of was how stunned and conflicted the children watching must have been. Here they are only knowing John Cena as the greatest thing wrestling could ever offer. Now tonight they see The great one live. It's like watching black and white tv your entire life, then suddenly realizing one day that there's a high def plasma tv for your entertainment. Cena just doesn't compare. No one in today's wrestling does. Doesn't get any better than the Rock.

After seeing this, I hope The Rock vs. Cena happens at WM. Longshot, but how convenient The Rock says he'll never wrestle again and then he's the guest host of WM. Even then I wouldn't have thought much of it, a few skits maybe. But that promo, he's getting at something. He has to be. Vince wouldn't let him make Cena, the face of the company, his BITCH like that if it wasn't leading to something. Morrison looked like he's adopting a more serious and ruthless approach so give him the match versus The Miz at WM and have Rock vs. Cena in a match of a lifetime...and have The Rock put him over for 18+ year old fans.

That idea I like.

I don't think its likely but I think it could be good. If they could settle this Rock/Cena conflict before Mania and maybe on Raw have the two shake hands to squash it then have Nexus come out to attack them. Not just run out and attack them though, they come out and start mouthing off. The Rock does his "Who....... in the blue hell are you?" stuff and gets some good shit talking in and Nexus attacks setting up your scenario.

Again, I strongly doubt thats the route they take but I would like that scenario.

Thank you Rock for showing everyone how bad wrestling is and how good it could be.

I never pay attention to where RAW is until I hear it on the show. Once I heard it was in Anaheim, I knew it was the Rock. He completely owned. He is exactly what a wrestler should be.

As for him wrestling at Wrestlemania...I'm still going to say that he won't, but before tonight I was 100% sure of it. His promo was so good that now I'm actually thinking about it.

I doubt they turn Cena heel, but if you want to do, you've probably got the best buildup for it in the past 5 years (oh sorry, 7 years). I'm still curious about the woman stepping out of the limo though...
