NFL Week 11 LD

Man. The Jets, extremely fortunate to win. That would've been one hell of a collapse by then.

I don't think the Colts will win this game. This team has been slumping offensively for the past 2 games straight and it looks like it's going to be 3 now

I think when you watch the Vikings play, it's obvious the Vikings problems are much deeper than who the QB is.

I don't expect Brad Childress to be coaching the Vikings next week.

This is true on both counts but shouldn't they at least have Jackson in there to get some experience with the offense and just see what he can do? What's the worst that can happen, they lose even worse than 28 points?

Looks like the seahawks-saints is a national tv game. I hope fox doesn't seriously believe they're going to compete with Indy-NE

Redskins win a game no one ultimately seemed to care about. The Titans Defense just fell apart with frustration it seemed.

Any videos of that Seymour hit on Big Ben get uploaded yet? That was awesome.

I think it's a matter of Favre simply still being healthy enough to play, and how much they're paying him. Granted I don't think it'd hurt (either) to put Jackson in.. the fact is, Favre is in control of this team as long as Chilly is at the helm.

Whats more - what happens if Jackson comes in, plays amazing (in whats left of a throw-away season) and they sign him to a contract extension, only to watch him Matt Moore their team next year? At this point, I think Minnesota might just be playing for a draft pick and allowing Favre to finish his "so-called" final season as a starter for the final games.

I think Dallas is showing to be a good example of what the coach means in the NFL. I'm sure the Vikings are thinking if Childress is gone, and they get a new coach, Favre can still lead them to the promised land. You also have to remember the Vikings have basically been without their three receivers all year long, and the Vikings defense hasn't been half of what it was last year.

The QB is undoubtedly the most important position on the field, but no QB, whether it's Favre, Jackson or Rosenfeld, can overcome an entire team hating the coach, the loss of your three receivers, and a mediocre defense.

:lmao: I just realized exactly what team Seymour was on, as well. LMAO! Cable is apparently teaching all his players to punch like the pros. :lmao:

You have to admire a player who can throw a punch so hard to a helmet, that they're checking out the cheek of the player punched.

The Cleveland Browns would argue that opinion.

In unrelated news, Jimmie Johnson won his 5th straight NASCAR championship.

My Wife will be upset. She likes Harvick.

As a Cowboys fan, amen.

As for the Vikings, if they're that bad with Favre out there and with the season having been lost for weeks now, why have Favre out there if he's not going to be the starter next year other than keeping the streak alive? Jackson hasn't really played in what, a year and a half now? Let him get some rhythm with the offense and experience with the season lost. That's the part I don't understand: why, other than the streak, is Favre still playing?

This is true. In that case, why have Favre out there when you can give Jackson 6 games of experience for next year? You can see if he's got anything so you can see if you need to go shopping for a QB in the draft or if you can plug another hole. I don't get it.

You mean the 3-7 Cleveland Browns? Good point.

Point being, Colt McCoy has won them 2 of those 3.. in other words, the QB change seems to have at least partly helped them win the majority of the games they've won. He's managed the games better than either Delhomme or Wallace.

Of course their Defense is the bigger reason, however the argument you were making is that a QB change doesn't turn a team around - McCoy was inserted, and they won 2 more games with him than either of the other two guys they had starting.

How can you horse collar someone that has long dreadlocks? That's right, it's impossible. I'm glad refs have no common sense.

The only thing that has made today good is the fact that have Steve Johnson and Greg Jennings on my fantasy team. 31 and 33 points respectively. Add in 14 from Braylon and my receivers alone got me 78 points.

Brady is shredding my Colts defense....not that shocking though since our defense is barely above average.

Thank god I stopped watching the Lions after they somehow were dumb enough to let the 97 yard punt return TD go. It really saved my heart rate from raging up. The team is terrible, and Peterman, along with a few others, needs to be AXED tommorow. He commits way too many fucking penalties to be a starter. Idc if you throw a rookie in there, with the amount of penalties he commits, anything is better then fucking Peterman.

I'm really not looking forward to Thanksgiving now. At least I'll be able to see Brady torch us for 6 TD's and have us make some more dumb mistakes. Should be fun.

Who says he won't be out there next year though? That's what the point. With a new coach, perhaps the team changes directions, and Favre comes back for another year.

Jackson hasn't really played in what, a year and a half now? Let him get some rhythm with the offense and experience with the season lost. That's the part I don't understand: why, other than the streak, is Favre still playing?
Because the entire team wants him to be. Because the entire team thinks he still gives the Vikes the best chance to win.

This is true. In that case, why have Favre out there when you can give Jackson 6 games of experience for next year?
Because the vikings are on a series of one year basis. They're going for broke now, and maybe next year. After that, they're going to have to completely gut their roster, and start again.

If Favre gives you the best chance to win, then you play Favre, knowing you have very little time left to make a big run.

Point being, Colt McCoy has won them 2 of those 3.. in other words, the QB change seems to have at least partly helped them win the majority of the games they've won. He's managed the games better than either Delhomme or Wallace.
And they've lost their last two, and I haven't heard any commotion about the coach. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, they LIKE their coach.

Of course their Defense is the bigger reason, however the argument you were making is that a QB change doesn't turn a team around - McCoy was inserted, and they won 2 more games with him than either of the other two guys they had starting.
And have lost two straight, and won those game by playing for a coach they like, I do believe.

You have to take care of the important problems first. Brett Favre took the team to a 13-3 record and had an MVP caliber season last year. This was after people said he didn't have "it" anymore. Given that the Vikes are without their three receivers, the defense is bad, and everyone hates the coach, perhaps the Vikings should work to address those problems first, and then see if replacing Favre is still necessary. Replacing Favre isn't going to make those three receivers healthy, the defense play better and everyone liking the coach.

Brady is shredding my Colts defense....not that shocking though since our defense is barely above average.
The Colts defense is rarely better than "above average".
