Well put. This is one thing I always remember about the dying days of WCW. There were a few cases where they'd try to push a face - even though the fans hate him - or push a heel - even though the fans loved him.

You know what would have been great - as a lot of the WWE crowd had been anticipating the Hart/Michaels showdown and now are anticipating the Hart/McMahon showdown, it would have been interesting if TNA played off the real life drama between Hogan and Jarrett/Russo. That story hasn't gotten the play of the MSJ incident, but it was just as messy.
