Live Discussion - TNA 1/4/2010

Jesus Christ Jeff, we heard this speech a year ago? What is he even DOING on here. I wouldn't pay a dime to see Jeff do anything

AJ Styles, Hulk Hogan, Sting, and Bret Hart. My four favorite wrestlers ever...and all on the same night.

Unbelievable.

It really is isn't it? What a night, if only for the nostalgia. It really feels like I'm back in the Monday Night Wars days man.

Fact: AJ wrestled for WCW.

Fact: He was paid to sit at home most of the time.

Fact: Air Styles was fucking awesome though.

Really excited for the Angle-AJ match tonight. I hope they bring their A game.

And I don't care what anyone says, I love Jeff Jarrett. The man is criminally underrated.

Most of those guys who were responsible for the "downfall" or WCW were the same guys who elevated it to the point where there could be a downfall. If WCW would have disappeared pre-Hogan/Nash/Hall, no one would have noticed once Sting and Flair wound up in WWF.

That's an interesting point. But the problem I see with your logic is that you're ignoring the more recent part of history. Yes, the NWO in it's hey-day destroyed Raw, but it was about 11 years ago that viewers got so sick of those guys that they changed the station and never watched again.

Anyone find it funny that nostalgia gets us all so high that we forget what we used to know?

Welcome to the smallest club on WZ, Jeff Jarrett marks. Our membership is not up to, carry the one, ummm, yeah, two.

Maybe so. But does that really qualify as being employed?

He got a paycheck. There was something like 150 people on their payroll at one point, many of which were for nothing more than to keep them out of WWE. Mikey Whipwreck was in WCW for nearly 2 years. I think he appeared 4-5 times. he sat at home playing Playstation.
