Live Discussion - TNA 1/4/2010

Yeah what the fuck is your point? Does that make them any less of legends? No. Legends will always be entertaining to watch because they're fucking LEGENDS.

Maybe not tonight but if you paid any attention to the TNA product you would know that the company has been completely centered around the younger guys ever since AJ Styles won the title. Did you not hear Hogan's speech at the beginning of the hour?

The DX merch sales were never funny. Ever.

Hogan is a legend. Flair is a legend. Bischoff is a legend. Nash is pretty damn close to being a legend.

Hall and Waltman NEVER came close to being legends. NEVER.

And Hardy is nowhere near legendary status yet.

I don't care what Hogan said in his speech. Hogan is the focal point of TNA. TNA USED the NWO to try and prevent people from switching to Raw. The NWO and Hogan was TNA's "draw" tonight.

As for DX - their bits were at least as funny as the Val Venis segment ... which isn't saying much of anything. Both segments annoyed me.

I can agree somewhat with that Sly, but tonight is the deal. TNA is pulling out all the stops. Everybody they have, or will have will probably debut tonight. So tonight is the key. if TNA draws a 2.0 that will be a success I believe. Anything less would be failure

Fact: AJ wrestled for WCW.

Fact: He was paid to sit at home most of the time.

Not entirely true. He worked for a company that WCW used as a developmental territory, and then was brought up for a dark match, as part of a tag team known as Air Raid. Then WCW folded.

Next week's show's rating is far more important than this week. This week is going to be inflated, but if they get a 1.7 tonight and a 1.5 next week, they are on to something.
