I agree. It's an important call to have for things like holding the receiver, or clobbering him before the ball even leaves the QB's hand, but it has gotten ridiculous.

I have Ravens over Eagles but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Pack make it. Baltimore/Green Bay was my pick last year so I switched it up a little this year.

That's laughable. Staff put up 300 yards in pretty much 3 quarters work, since they only did one pass the entire fourth from what I remember. He seemed a little anxious early (with the pick 6, miss to Pettigrew on the first drive and way overthrowing Megatron) but once he got settled in on that 4th and 3, he was beastin. 118.9 rating? Oh yeah.

And the game wasn't as close as the score indicated. The Lions were playing prevent the entire 4th and letting them gain yards to kill clock. Cherilus made a ******ed penalty that kept the game close, but once the Lions got up 14 they pretty much sat on it, which I didn't totally approve of (I would've liked one more FG to put the game out of range) but hey, that's why they get paid and I dont.

gonna be a very nice rest of the day relaxing and watching some of the late games. The Lions looked awfully impressive once they got in a groove until they started to just run the clock down. A very solid first game. Now bring on the Chiefs.
