NFL Week Four LD - The Colts in primetime again? Really?

The Colts and Vikings seem like the favorites after the first 1/4 to win the Andrew Luck sweepstakes but I highly doubt Minnesota would take Luck.

Don't forget the Dolphins, they are making a strong run to win the Andrew Luck sweepstakes.

The Jets need Nick Mangold back, and they need him back yesterday. He's the stabilizing force of the Jets O-Line.

Meanwhile, some positives from a Jets perspective.

First of all, the defense as a whole played well against Ray Rice, holding him to less then 70 yards on 25 carries. And their performance also had some to do with Flacco playing like shit.

1. Aaron Maybin
. The Jets brought back Maybin (who was in camp with them) because they felt that his speed was going to be of use against Bryant McKinnie at Left Tackle (who is generously listed at 360 lbs, and very slow). Well, He had a good game against him, with a few QB hurries and a strip-sack (his first NFL Sack, which puts him 1 higher then Vernon Gholston). I think tonights game might have warranted the Jets keeping him around for a few more weeks, and maybe he'll be the pass rusher

2. Running Back Joe McKnight on Special Teams. He caused a fumble on the opening kickoff, then had a 107 yard Kickoff Return for a TD. He should be the permanent replacement for Brad Smith on all kickoffs.

3. Running Back Joe McKnight on Defense.
Yes, I said Running Back Joe McKnight on defense. On the David Harris interception return for a score, who was hurrying the QB which caused a poor throw? Joe McKnight, who doubles as a D-Back. On the same play, who blocked a Raven that could have caught up to Harris? Joe McKnight.

And now for the offense. Not a single player on offense played well. Every single one of them played bad; the Quarterback, the Halfbacks, the Receivers, and especially the O-Line. No Mangold against the exotic Ravens D made everyone look even worse then they played, but still, they all played bad. Grading the O-Line out of 100, they deserve a 3. Not 30, not 50, a THREE. Sanchez couldn't even finish his dropbacks before a Raven was forcing him to run or beating the crap out of him (legally, as there was only one blow late in the game that they could have called Roughing the Passer Blow to the Head on, but didn't).

Next week the Jets play in New England. If they don't have Mangold, they're fucked. And Joe McKnight has earned his damn snaps on offense, they need to get him the football more. He might be their best runner out of the backfield (Greene isn't panning out, and LT is just a good pass-catcher now, not a runner).
