The Falcons just got fucked by the refs. They seriously just won this game but they didn't call one of the most blatant pass interferences I've ever seen.
I don't know if I'd say much easier.
Throwing out the San Diego game as both of them played in it, both had one game that Denver flat out wasn't going to win (Green Bay/Detroit), both had a middle of the road team (Tennessee/Kansas City), both played Oakland, and then Orton played Cinci while Tebow played Miami. It's comparable until the last game I mentioend.
And uh, who won that game?
Green Bay is better then Detroit and they were more competitive in that game then they were against the Lions.
The Titans are 5-4 and have a win over the Ravens. The Chiefs are 4-5 and only have one win over a team with a winning record and that was the Kyle Boller led Raiders. [/quote]Tennessee is easily better then the Chiefs.
The Raiders team that Tebow played was without their best player in Run DMC.
Cinci obviously shits all over Miami.
The schedules are no way near comparable.
I didn't realize there was a stat for competitive games.
When I typed that, they had the same record. It's changed a bit since then.
Still says Raiders on their jerseys I believe.
I think I said that wasn't a comparable pairing.
Actually they are but you couldn't admit Tebow did anything well if someone put a gun to your head so I'll be ignoring your opinion on him as I had been previously.
Orton loses to them, Tebow beats them. Sounds like an improvement when you have both QBs playing the same team. "But player A and player B weren't playing!" Still says Raiders on their jerseys and still counts as a win, which means more than every other stat combined.
I actually complimented Tebow's deep pass today. Unlike some people, however, I don't look at things as just black and white. You have to analyze the play of the teams, the players, and their opponents. Orton lost to the Raiders and Tebow beat them but they were two different teams at different times in the season. Different qbs, different running backs, etc. If every team was consistently the same throughout the season then there would be no reason to play 16 games, you could just start the playoffs after 4 games.
And after all that analysis, I've come to a conclusion:
Tebow: 3-1
Orton: 1-4
I'll rest my case here.
And I'll rest my case when the Broncos actually play teams that are worth a damn and Tebow looks like the career back up he is destined to be as an NFL qb.
If it was Orton in place of Tebow throughout these last 4 games, they wouldn't have had that run threat and I highly doubt they would have won any of them.
You mean the one that everyone destined him to be before he won 3/4 games? I'd take that very happily for a quarter of the season.
And I'll rest my case when the Broncos actually play teams that are worth a damn and Tebow looks like the career back up he is destined to be as an NFL qb.
I'm confused. Are we discussing if Tebow is good, or if he's better than Orton?
The last four games have done absolutely nothing to show me he is more then a career back up. Just like the wild cat in Miami, defenses are going to figure out the option and their rushing attack. Tebow sooner rather then later will have to win games with his arm and he is not capable of doing that on a consistent basis. He also hasn't shown he can beat a good team yet.
If Tebow is good or not.
I'd say it's too early in his career to tell how good he is/can be, however, you cannot deny that, up to this point, he's been a winner.

Also, Nate... there were some HORRIBLE calls made against the Saints (take that holding against Graham on the field goal, for example). And that was way worse of a call that that so-called pass interference, where Roddy clearly just let the ball go through his hands and the "contact" had nothing to do with it.
Up to this point yes, but again I want to see him do it against good competition. The only good team he has faced beat the Broncos 45-10. Let's see what happens after the next 5 weeks.
