NFL Week 10

56 yard TD pass. That helps.

As for Tebow, there's one stat that matters: he could be 3-1 as starter after today. Orton was what, 1-4?

Tebow has made the first accurate deep throw of his NFL career. I'll give him that though he is still 2-8.

And it's not really fair to compare the records of Tebow and Orton. Orton faced a much tougher schedule and the Broncos running game was dreadful while he was the starter. Having no off season workouts hurts teams that have new coaches.

So what was Orton's excuse last year when he got benched for Tebow then? The team was a joke with him as starter and now they're about to be a game away from .500 (which they won't get, at least not next week), which is a miracle for them.

Orton was putting up good numbers last year the team was just awful because McDaniels refused to run the ball and they didn't play any defense. Orton wasn't benched for bad play he was benched because the season was over and McDaniels wanted to see what he had with his rookie first round pick.

And then this year he was benched because the team sucked with him while under Tebow they're looking far better and have won some games. Sounds pretty clear cut to me as to who has the more successful time at QB.

Their entire fucking division is a joke, the season was pretty much over for them last year Denver wanted to see what Tebow could do, pretty much the same reason Orton was benched for Tebow this year, at the time the season looked to be pretty much lost for them. Thankfully Fox is a good enough coach, & in a weak division, so he was able to get the best out of what little talent he has & has seemingly turned things around. I'm fairly confident that if Orton was still in there that their record wouldn't look much different right now.

If Bowe and Baldwin have any sort of self respect, they'll hand Cassel their game checks this week. They sure as fuck don't deserve it.

By the way, Orton wasn't benched last year. He got hurt.

I would. Tebow brought them back against Miami, is responsible for both touchdowns today, and went to Oakland and led the team to a win against Oakland, a team that beat the Orton lead Broncos in Denver. In the games he had, Orton did jack other than a surprise win over Bengals. Tebow is about to get his third win as a starter. But hey, his stats aren't that good so Orton is clearly better right?

Perhaps Cassell should stop trying to throw to them & instead target Breaston more.

Was he? Scratch the last season part then.

They are looking far better because John Fox's system is starting to kick in and they are playing a much easier schedule. There was no way the start of the season was going to go well no matter who was at qb. They were going from a pass happy no defense style of play to a smash mouth running, hard hitting defense style.

Talk to me after the next 5 weeks when they play the Jets, at the Chargers, at the Vikings (who play good D at home), against the Bears, and finally the Pats. If the Broncos even go 2-3 in that stretch I'd be shocked.

Orton lost to a Raiders team that had McFadden playing and had Campbell returning as the starter. Tebow beat a Raiders team without McFadden and with Palmer making his first start of the year. BTW the Raiders were up 24-17 and Tebow didn't throw a pass the rest of the game and was not responsible for any of their last three scores.

I don't know if I'd say much easier.

Throwing out the San Diego game as both of them played in it, both had one game that Denver flat out wasn't going to win (Green Bay/Detroit), both had a middle of the road team (Tennessee/Kansas City), both played Oakland, and then Orton played Cinci while Tebow played Miami. It's comparable until the last game I mentioend.

The next 5 weeks you're probably right. Jets is likely a loss, Chargers is a tossup, I think they can beat Minnesota but it's hard to say, Bears should be a loss and Pats will be a loss. You're probably right on the 2-3 being a high goal.

And uh, who won that game?

The Falcons just got fucked by the refs. They seriously just won this game but they didn't call one of the most blatant pass interferences I've ever seen.
