The worst part is Thiago probably would have beaten Vera without his horse meat diet.

To Anderson....don't be scared champ.

He'd eat Diaz alive.

I still think Weidman has the ability to give Silva MAJOR fits. Excellent wrestling, BJJ, and Fight IQ (Read: not doing stupid things such as letting Silva hold his wrist for 30+ seconds and throwing spinning back fists).

I'm not convinced Weidman has the shot to take Silva down. If Chael struggled so much to get Silva down in the second round, what makes you think Weidman would be able to? It's pretty clear after the Chael fight that Anderson is not as easy to take down as everybody supposed.

You know I wouldn't hate if Chael moved up to 205 and got a tune up fight and then got a title shot. Wonder why that idea hasn't been thrown around

Weidman's not a true #1 Contender, and that's the problem Silva's camp has with him.

That's why the best thing to do is to put Anderson right now in a "Superfight" while the contenders in the MW Division battle it out to determine the real #1 contender for the title.

Weidman, for now, is a lose-lose fight for Anderson. He needs at least one more big victory, and it needs to happen on the big stage. Don't forget that win over Munoz happened while hardly anyone outside of hardcores was paying attention, and Weidman's most watched bout was an abysmal fight against Damien Maia. If Anderson beats Weidman, then he beat a nobody; however, if he loses to this guy, then Anderson all of the sudden looks washed-up and his career will be over in the fans eyes.

Plus, Anderson vs. Weidman is simply not what the fans want to see right now. Anderson vs. Diaz is the fight the fans want, even if there are some that think it'll be a slaughter. Those who think that, by the way, 90% of them hate Diaz's guts and would love to see him get his ass kicked anyway, so even those who think it'll be so one-sided would still pay to see it happen. Diaz vs. Anderson is the way to go, while matching Weidman up against another contender.

I'd be more than happy with Andy fighting the winner of Stann-Bisp. They arent on huge streaks but they're established names and fights that would sell tickets and PPV buys, I'd go nuts for either fight.

Yeah the bias against Andy on this site is crazy at times imo. Certain people will always have a problem with him for some reason. It's kind of silly to think anderson is duck anyone.

Funny how Bendo is the champ and he dominated that fight but it's all about Frankie, I guess they need to push the idea that he deserves a rematch. Wouldn't be a very exciting commercial if it showed Edgar bitching to Dana about a rematch, with some good music and cool effects it wouldn't be half bad.

Why all the hate for Frankie Edgar? The man deserves a rematch i honestly believe that. He was always a fighting champion, and proved himself in a division that he isn't naturally built for.

He's a great fighter and I love watching him but it was a decisive loss and his fights with Gray and now this have put the rest of the division on hold long enough. There are tons of talented guys waiting on the brink of a shot at the title and he doesn't need to be getting an instant rematch. If he had gotten a contender fight after 144 and then got a shot I wouldn't be jumping for joy but it would be fair. But when the way it's gone down isn't very fair to guys like Nate Diaz.

The best thing he could do for himself, the fans and the division would be dropping to 45, he'd be great there and I'd love to see what he could do in a fight with Aldo(which I could see him winning) and some of the other guys down there.

I'm right there with JWG. The loss was decisive and he bitched his way to a rematch.

At the end of the day though, Joe Silva and Dana should have put their foot down and not have given him the rematch.

I like Frankie but he did bitch his way there. Its been almost two and a half years since someone not named BJ, Frankie, or Gray was fighting for the 155 title. All of those guys are great fighters but so many contenders have risen up at 155 and then had to wait around that it isn't fair to them.

Well we all know Dana is pushing for Hughes to retire but now he also wants Forrest to. I agree I just fear seeing him in the HOF. Maybe an idea for your next HOf thread Guy.

Also today America got their first gold in Judo in London! USA!!

He'll get in, I have no doubts about that. What his fight with Bonnar did for the sport alone gets him in on top of being the first TUF winner and a former champion but (imo)he's a nutcase and I'm not a fan of him as a fighter.

Haha sorry Yaz, no offense and I know you love him but I'm not a Forrest guy. I'll never forgive him for 148.

And Guy what exactly did he do at the expo?

Indyjon, you ready to orgasm?
