Survivor 31

I'm a little worried about the preview, though I have hope that it's a family member (as bad as that sounds) and we're being misled. I don't feel like they'd go as far as showing the hand and having Probst point out that it's a guy, which narrows it down to Keith, Joe or Spencer.

Terrific show lately. These neurotic (2nd chance) characters have created a great dynamic. Everyone is over thinking everything and it creates entertaining moves and results.

Playing Thursday morning castaway for a second I would say Jeremy's biggest mistake was going after Wigglesworth after clearly taking out Monica I think it made it clear that his three or four were the power players and put targets on their backs. Fortunately for him for now Fishback was seen as more of a threat.

We will see how it goes. Spencer seems to be in a good spot all of the sudden.

Yall claim that Jeremy is in trouble, but even the last tribal when they were discussing backup plans on who to get rid of instead of Stephen it was Kimmi whos name was brought up.

Jeremy is calm, collected, and he still has control of the game. I imagine Spencer is going to take Stephen's spot with Jeremy and Tasha, and the three are going to rule the game to the end.

He still has an idol, and somehow despite going against his alliance multiple times they still seem to trust him. I imagine Joe is the next boot. After Joe there is seven left. It'll be Jeremy, Spencer, Tasha, and Kimmi together. Kelley has Keith and Abi. My guess is they try and get Spencer and Tasha to flip. Spencer sticks with Jeremy, but Tasha plays along and almost does it but backs out at the last second.

Jeremy's next three targets should be Joe, Kelley, and Keith in that order.

because kimmi was close to stephen

Based on what? There have been zero dominant alliances since the merge, the first one to form was tonight and its gone already. Plus Spencer is in a nice position to get to the final 3 from here as he has options both sides, he could very well just go the other way.

The more this game goes, the more likely it is that Abi makes the three. Could she win it from there? who knows the final tribal would be interesting but fuck me she has done zero in this game since the merge. Thats less than the usual person who made zero moves but stuck to their alliance considering that to play that strategy you usually have to get into the alliance and get carried. She has made one play and that was keeping Woo, plus she had a small hand in getting shirin out but that wasn't really her

Jeremy was playing close to a perfect game until he played that idol for Fishbach. Then he exposed everything. Spencer knows he wasn't in that final three plan. And now that Stephen is gone, Tasha will likely try to jump overboard to protect herself.

But holy shit. The people who go over the next 2 - 3 episodes, until Joe loses immunity again, are going to feel so stupid. Particularly if it's Spencer and co.

Spencer is in the best position right now. He's got the trust of a solid group. He's got Joe and Jeremy as bigger threats and shields. If he plays this right, the game is his. If he doesn't play it right, the game belongs to Jeremy, if Jeremy can get his game back on track, or Kelley if she plays her idol properly.

Fantastic episode, though.

Don't get your hopes up, Jeremy isn't going anywhere. He's going to win the game and I'd bet all the money I have on it.

I would seriously consider taking that bet. Because I think Spencer's move tonight may have just won him or Wentworth the game.

"If your alliance mate flips, that is on you, you need to make your alliance mates feel good. If you can't do that, that is your own fault." - Fishbach after the Cagayan finale when talking about Spencer/Tasha being unable to keep Kass on their side.

I laughed.

Everything about Stephen's character this season was on point. The Survivor Know-it-All getting voted out because he overplayed, and spent too much time focusing on a guy who's strategy is to just keep winning immunity and hope shit works out.

You'd think a Survivor Know-It-All would be smart enough to focus his target on someone playing better than Joe. And know better than to have a one track mind ALL SEASON of who he wanted out.

If it's Jeremy and Spencer in the final three together, who wins? I still give it to Jeremy.

Those two are my favorites though so I'm glad they're both in great positions to win the game. Spencer's story has been amazing so far where he started out rough and then managed to put himself in a great position to suceed.

The ghost of J.T. really did screw him over this season. Anything was better than making the final tribal council and getting zero votes again. That fear cost him.

Indeed.

Also I'm beginning to think we're never gonna get an immunity challenge this season that isn't just endurance. I mean if they didn't do it before Savage and Wigglesworth got the boot I doubt they will. Sure the last one wasn't endurance but it also didn't let the challenge beasts do their thing either.

The challenges have been disappointing considering all the challenge beasts they had in the game.

I'm begging for hands on the idol being the final challenge of the season.

they never do anything but endurance challenges for individual immunities until the last few. Last immunity will be some big maze thing, they've been fetishing that for the last few seasons now

A week ago, I would've said Jeremy. But Spencer orchestrated Stephen's blindside, and now seems to be in control, along with Wentworth. And Jeremy seems like an emotional enough player that he'll start pissing people off when he's in danger and swinging for the fences.

From the people on the jury, Spencer would get Kelly's vote for sure, and he'd probably get Ciera's. Jeremy has Stephen for sure, and probably Savage. Who knows what the hell Kass would do.

Of the people left, assuming it's a Jeremy/Spencer/Abi final three, since everyone wants to drag Abi to the end... Spencer would get Kelley, and Jeremy gets Keith. Joe and Tasha could go either way for several reasons. Would Joe vote for Jeremy after being betrayed by him? Would Tasha care more about the in-game bonds with Jeremy than the real life bonds with Spencer?

We'd be looking at Yul vs. Ozzy all over again, to be honest. Which is awesome. But it's probably not going to happen. In modern Survivor, it's almost impossible for the two biggest jury threats to get to the end together, unless they're super tight allies since the beginning, like Stephen and JT.

Fucking yes.

I can't see Jeremy or Spencer being dumb enough to take the other to the end, but maybe one of them wins immunity and they're sort of forced to.

Spencer and Jeremy are both my favorites, but I'd prefer Jeremy just because he as a family and kids right now. He's a blue collar firefighter. Spencer is a young smart kid who's going to be making big bucks in the future.

I see a final three of Abi, Kimmi, and either Spencer or Wentworth. Jeremy shouldn't be there, if Spencer and Wentworth are smart, and don't get too consumed with taking each other out. Then again, this season has been so insane, nothing would surprise me. Other than Abi winning.

At this point it should either be Jeremy, Wentworth, Spencer or Joe winning the game. And Joe is only because if he makes the end he'll have a ton of immunity wins and he'd have gotten to the end as the biggest threat from the beginning.

The thing that bothers me the most this season (more than anything Abi related) is by far Savage's knit cap. Is he wearing it for charity? Does he think he is a 25 year old on Real World/Road Rules challenge? Is he going through chemo treatments between tribal councils? Did he come down with some flesh eating island disease that makes his head always cold?

Or does he just want to cement with me what a giant douche bag he is?

I'm not even making this up: on Twitter, he justified the beanie by saying he was a California surfer, and that's how he dresses all the time. A 52 year old man.

  • Jeremy and Spencer deserve to lose the game after this episode. They've made Tasha the most powerful player in the game at the next tribal council.
  • Abi is making the final three and she has a chance to get two votes, Ciera and Kass, but they'll vote for Wentworth if she's there.
  • Joe is getting a third chance during the next season with returning players.
  • Jeremy is going to play his idol next week. He can't win immunity so just to be safe I think he plays it.
  • Spencer or Keith goes home next week depending on who wins immunity.
  • Wentworth should be the favourite to win this season and should win over anybody.
  • Wentworth, Kimmi (she'll be the only person in this scenerio that takes votes away from Wentworth since Kimmi automatically gets both Savage and Wiglesworth) and Abi final three might be her best option.

I think it's safe to say we are down to 3 options for winner of this season.

Jeremy, Spencer or Wentworth.

If Spencer goes home next week we should just hand Wentworth the win.

Pretty much agree with all this, the only question will be if the votes are cast at Jeremy and if Wentworth has immunity because if she doesnt i imagine that she will play hers once Jeremy does. Keith showing once again that while he is a character he has no idea what to do at tribal. Next week's preview has me confused, it says after a blindside but how were they blindsided (unless it happens early next episode) exactly? The idols are the only thing keeping it an open contest.

Voting blocks strategy is clearly to the advantage to those in the minority

We only have two episodes left so it could very well be a double boot next week and the blindsided thing could be edited out of order from the second half of the episode. It's insane to think that Jeremy and Spencer may have just handed Wentworth with seven people still in this thing. She should be able to close the deal but if she doesn't it's all on her. Keep it simple, target the men and Wentworth can march into the final tribal council next to goat Abi and Kimmi for the win.

Otherwise it's going to be a packed finale.

If Wentworth is in the end with any of the girls she destroys them. Including Tash. Hell at this point I'd say she can beat Jeremy. Spencer is the only one left who can beat her I think.

Then again Jeremy probably could off playing the firefighter expecting a kid card. But Wentworth has played better than him.
