WWE Raw LD 8/01/11 - The Champs are Here!

Really, for those of you complaining it went on too long, kindly shut your damn mouths. Seriously. The night of Rock's birthday, he opened the show with 30 minute promo that included a Pitbull mini-concert. At least this was entertaining and developed an interesting storyline.

Eve: The only person in the world with a worse Thesz press than Randy Orton.

Seriously? We're giving a divas match a commercial break? Eff dat.

Can't miss promo? Yeah right.

I could have missed that. Wouldn't have changed much.

Only valuable line uttered was the one where Punk talked about HHH talking about how guys "don't have what it takes" when he was laying in bed with his wife. Otherwise, status quo.

That mic was a pipe bomb when he threw guys like John Laurenitis under the bus, but that promo was totally average.

Happy to hear some Living Colour though!

Meh. Back to not watching WWE.

I'm so happy that AJ exists. When they finally get around to pushing her, she'll be the next Mickie James.

K. Bye.

That's the issue with Cole every time: he gets in these arguments and the match is going on with no attention being paid to it. It gets old.

Time for the biggest logical flaw in the IWC: HHH got where he is because of his wife.

We're ignoring his first three world titles, the push that was supposed to be his that went to Austin, and the awesome feud with Rock that launched him into superstardom.

Not to go down that same old road again since the Triple H thing has been played to death, but the same thing that killed his push was the same thing that got his push. There's as much of an argument that can be made that the only reason he was getting looked at was his relationship with Michaels.

It's a tired argument, because he was going to get to the top. It's his longevity that's always been in question.

It's called a build. Not every segment needs to blow-your-mind, it just needs to make sense and be good. Which it does and was.
