No reason it shouldn't work. Now that you've gotten your tenth post it should change over in a bit. You shouldn't have gotten it in the first place.

You only have 9 non-spam posts. You have to have 10. After you get your 10th, it may take a few hours before the system recognizes you as having the proper permissions to start a thread.


EDIT: After looking, you might be able to now, even with only 9 posts.

I just deleted a spam post about a half hour ago which brought him from ten to nine. Not sure what effect that will have but just wanted to point it out in case there is any confusion.

Hey staff, I have a quick question: I was hoping to sign up for the Debater's League, but couldn't find a sign-up thread to put my name in. I noticed there is a championship debate currently in progress, so I'm assuming sign ups will resume when the current tournament is over? I just don't want to miss out.

The tournament is run once per year and registration was closed back in March. Sorry if you missed it but feel free to watch and see how this year's league unfolds!
