Survivor 31

It's all about the growth narrative! WINNER'S EDIT!!!

yeah this is what I was thinking when I saw Fish was having his breakdown. As much as I hated watching him cry I can understand it all, no food and fuck all sleep would break you down to the point where the littlest thing would get to you

You mean the edit Spencer is getting? I hope Ciera begins getting that edit too. Still hope her, Wigglesworth, Spencer and Joe are final 4 but I just don't see it.

I don't actually believe Fishbach is getting the growth narrative. When I mention "growth narrative" it's more about making fun of Fishbach since he attempted to use the same concept back in S19 as the reason why he should win the game over J.T. which ultimately was through out the window once J.T. had a chance to reply.

I'll be stunned if Spencer wins. I don't think he's a good player. Your plan failed every single week unless Tony was calling the shots. That's really bad. He's not good enough to win this game. His age also works against him because I can't see someone like Jeremy or any older male wanting to be told what to do by Spencer.

Right. Getting emotional doesn't mean someone is getting a growth narrative. Stephen is still paranoid, neurotic, and under the thumb of an Alpha male. The only people I see getting a real growth narrative at the moment are Kass and Wentworth. Kimmi and Spencer are showing hints of growth, but they still have a long way to go.

Not to mention the All-Star season paranoia, which would be twice as intense as newbie season paranoia.

Also, just a warning: the boot order has leaked online. It's all over the previews on YouTube. From a Survivor fan, please don't post any spoilers here.

As someone who had Samoa spoiled during the middle of the season and BvW right at the beginning, spoilers fucking suck. Luckily I haven't seen anything for this season.

In fairness, Samoa wasn't hard to predict after by the middle of the season, looking at the edit. Russell was just an uglier, shorter, more ******* version of All-Stars Rob, and one of the blondes was going to be his Amber.

I was 13 or 14 at the time so I thought Russell was the greatest thing since sliced bread. It would take his appearance on HvV for me to figure out just how shit he was and that's the season where I started to notice things in the edit and found all the Survivor stuff online.

I'm stunned at the stupidity of Ciera.

Edit: You had 12 other people to work with and you pick Kass to be your ride or die partner? Shit immunity challenge because you've got such great athletic competitors and you make them stand still holding a stick. Lame.

I was so disappointed in Ciera tonight, I get what she was trying to do and I'm glad she sees that Jeremy and Savage are going to run the game if they aren't stopped, but she went about it the wrong way.

Hoping that Spencer, Ciera and Wentworth join together next week, recruit Joe and Tasha to their side along with 1 other (Fish maybe? Since he's dying to make a big move) and blindside Savage.

Also thank god Kass is gone, it was killing me to see her trying to work with 2 of my favorites in Ciera and Spencer.

Kass is actually hopeless. I dont think she understands how trust works. Why would Tasha work with you when you had previously backstabbed her. Sure you can ramble off the "its our second time blah blah" but the fact is if you make someone look like a fool once they arent going to be dumb and let you do it again.

The move wouldnt have been that great anyway. Okay you survived one week but they know you havent got an idol and its 7-5. Sure you might be able to salvage something again

Well Probst said going in that Kass had 0% chance at winning, I'm just shocked she made it this far and that anybody trusted her to begin with. Also this jury is gonna be crazy big.

Was helped by the fact that she went to tribal for the first time very late. Had enough time to show that she is actually decent human being but either the pressure of tribal or the need to feed her ego (i'm not really sure) sent her off the loop

10 person jury with a final 3 or 11 person jury with a final 2.

It's going to be a long finale with all those jury speeches. Would really love a final 2 for this season. Should always be a final 2 anyway.

Can you guys just agree with me that Ciera is a dope?

Savage is a pretty big dope too.

Spencer can be a dope as well.

Kass just sealed any doubt that she may be the worst player in Survivor history and has no clue how to live with the humans once the smallest bit of failure or disappointment hits her lap.

This season is featuring just a bunch of the worst players but I guess that is to be expected in "second chance".

The guy considered to be the best strategist in the game got 0 votes in the final tribal council the first time he played. This is the losers bracket.

Kass and Woo are both gone. My favorite three (Spencer, Jeremy, and Joe) are all in good shape. I'm OK with pretty much everyone left in the game I think.

Abi Maria...she was next to Kass on my hate list. That girl walked into the game as public enemy, and she has somehow managed to get past every tribal council except one...the last few she wasn't even on the chopping block. She is my 4th favorite in the game right now, and quite honestly if she makes it to the end I would give her my vote over anyone left on that island. Really can't believe I'm saying it...

Cierra actually, I hate her still. She's so useless, I don't think she played more than three challenges the whole game pre-merge. She sat out at every opportunity. She was the first one out of this immunity challenge. She pretty much screwed her own game, and I think she's out pretty soon.

Let's not forget that Kelley has an immunity idol too. I'm expecting that to be played next week, and hopefully nobody important goes home.

Spencer and Joe are together now though, and Spencer and Jeremy already have a connection. It's rare for three of my favorite dudes in a game to all get in an alliance together. Joe is already winning immunity challenges though, no way they're going to put up with that for too long. I mean Jeremy is using him as a shield which is very smart, but he can't keep that shield forever. I can't see Joe getting far enough unfortunately. But if Jeremy and Spencer are controlling the game, I'm entirely fine with that. Those two in the final three, and I'll probably mark out enough to label this one of my favorite seasons.

Don't give her too much credit dude, it was the first time she actually went to tribal council lol.

The edit was trying to make it seem like Spencer and Joe are a pair but the job they did was really shit. We got one brief discussion between the two, I doubt they are an alliance. I don't put to much stock in Spencer and Joe being an alliance.

Spencer is far from controlling the game. He's probably further down on the totem pole than Wiglesworth since she's extremely loyal and isn't doing anything strategic.

Yeah you're right, Spencer isn't controlling the game. We'll see what he does from this point.

Jeremy is by far the puppetmaster. He has been the entire time, I think if he's in the end he beats anyone.

And as far as Spencer and Joe go, Spencer was pretty much working with whoever would work with him. He will be on board to get rid of Joe whenever the time comes I'm sure. Joe on the other hand I'm not sure was legit with Spencer the entire time, because he had a pretty solid thing with Jeremy and the rest of that group. I'm not sure if he's strategizing enough to keep himself in the game, he's sort of falling into that same thing as last season where he chilled out and let himself become a big target. The good thing is, I don't think he's the first one to go once he doesn't win immunity, but he's definitely not going to be kept around for long once the majority alliance officially gains control of the game.
