Survivor 31

Boring episode. Too much of the people i like least (fucking Abithon). A bunch of crying and whining. Horrible that they would make a challenge where people would inevitably get hurt. But glad to see Shirin gone.

I think they were meant to use the ropes to help themselves down but they werent interested in doing so

Woo was so great shutting down Shirin/Spencer. Then the way Probst threw it in Shirin's face for laughing at Abi and comparing it to last season was better than anything I could have hoped for. LOL. Goodbye to the potential season ruiner.

I hated Terry in Panama. I hated he was voted into this season. I un-hate him now.

Glad Kass is doing so well compared to my expectations. I am praying for Stephen, he needs it.

If true my bad but the producers had to see this coming. I can't imagine having those full body brush burns while living in those conditions.

Oh well. It's not like I'm going to stop watching the show.

They were lucky it wasn't a blindfold challenge. Survivor loves those even though they are usually shit. That's always a fun way for someone to get their head busted open.

Three tribes? Oh man, this'll be great. Maybe the producers finally realized that Bayon is a little too stacked so they decided that a third tribe would be best. That challenge was a little cringeworthy to watch. Those body burns, damn. That's gotta hurt a whole lot. Glad Spencer survived Tribal and this twist of the third tribe might be exactly what he needs. Good start to the season.

I think she was higher up on the Heroes tribe than Colby was and had a better relationship with JT and Rupert. She doesn't need to bring in Sandra because at final five her, JT and Rupert just vote out Colby. Amanda probably wins the final immunity challenge like she always does and they get rid of Candice.

Amanda/JT/Rupert final 3.

Coach - votes for JT
Courtney - votes for Amanda
Parvati - votes for Amanda
Russell - votes for JT

Danielle - votes for Amanda (Was unsure about this one)
Jerri - votes for Amanda or JT
Sandra - votes for Amanda or Rupert
Colby - votes for JT
Candice - votes for Amanda or JT

After going through the jury it's probably a win for JT if my final three takes place. I have no doubt that Amanda walks into the final tribal council with two votes locked up and JT has Coach and Russell since he's never going to vote for a girl to beat him. JT can't do the same speech of being the poor country boy like he did his first season so I like Amanda's chances going up against millionaire JT. It's a flip of the coin for me after giving it some thought, I could see both JT and Amanda winning.

No one in their right mind would bring Rupert over Candice to the end.

Fishbach is still fucked and Jeff Varner is television gold.

I think the tribe swap is going to bail Fishbach out. If he can end up on a tribe with Spencer, Wentworth, PG, and a couple of girls from his own tribe, he is absolutely golden.

Great episode. though. It's nice to see some real character development instead of gamebots gamebotting. Vehemently rooting against Savage now. He's a bit of a judgemental cunt.

Was really pulling for Spencer, but he put himself in a bad position with his tribe. I can't even blame his tribe, that was his fault. I felt bad for him though having to vote out Shirin. Also felt bad for Abi too, because really she is human even though sometimes with these shows we tend to forget that.

Tribe swap is going to give Spencer yet another second chance. Meanwhile Joe and Jeremy were in great control on their tribe so I was happy, but if Joe winds up with the wrong people he could be screwed.

Varner I thought was a complete moron, but hearing his explanations it really makes sense. I don't like him, but he's at least playing the game. Same with Terry. Woo is still a moron, but I don't blame him for being so gross with Shirin and Spencer.

Still though, they can't all take Abi to the end. She's a cancer on the tribe and she doesn't help in challenges. They need to vote her out...especially before taking out someone like Spencer who is above average in challenges. As long as Kass stays the way she has been I won't mind her sticking around, but once she gets back to her Chaos Kass role then I'll be rooting to see her torch snuffed.

Jeremy with an idol

You can really see why they had to change the tribes up as it would have been a sweep. The fact that the 2 went from having nothing to everything shows exactly why you have to get rid of trouble players like Abi asap

I'm pretty sure the swap was preplanned. They had supplies, a camp site and a whole three team obstacle course set up.

Pretty good episode for an early episode. The swings at the end were entertaining and Jeremy's Idol grab as well.

Spencer is still kinda fucked right now from the looks of things and I don't like that.

Good episode though and I'm fine with PG getting the boot.

Spencer getting the winner's edit.

Meanwhile, Varner still thinks he can drag Abi to the end as his goat, and it's going to screw him over spectacularly. Hell, it nearly did already.

I'm still praying to the jesus look alike Joe. But didnt even get a mention this week, but he was challenge beast again so woooo

Definitely can't stand Varner. He reminds me a lot of Brad Culpepper actually, if I have to compare to someone from a recent season. Because I don't like the things he says and he's against people I like...but he's getting people to follow him and he's playing the game.

The scary thing is, if he makes it to the merge I feel like he can weasel his way much farther because he doesn't come off as a physical threat. There's going to be way to many other big faces at the merge that Varner will go undetected, and I don't like that. Angkor though seems like the weakest tribe, and I can see them losing a couple more, but that doesn't mean Varner is in trouble. Woo and Abi can easily go with Varner and take out Savage or Tasha. I hope not, but that tribe right now is very unpredictable.

I do like how things played out almost entirely the same as last week. The people in the minority somehow gained control by pitting Abi against an ally, and got out of everything entirely. Believe it or not I actually am starting to like Abi, I like her more than Varner and Woo for sure.

I feel a lot more comfortable with Spencer's chances now that he's on a new tribe. It seems like he and my boy Jeremy were connecting, and with Jeremy having an idol those two can be a good power couple. My top three again are Spencer, Joe, and Jeremy in no order.

It's going to get interesting now that two people know about the idol twist. I was worried Kelley might have seen something suspicious during the challenge and saw Jeremy. But Jeremy pulled it off smoothly.

Varner, the gay, overweight, challenge burden who flips and flops at the drop of a hat as he tries to keep up reminds you a lot of Culpepper, the former football-playing jock who insisted on getting together an dominating alpha male alliance that inevitably turned on him.

Okay.

I'm with Blade on this one, I thought you were talking about Savage for a second

Wont make it to the merge unless they find a way to get rid of Savage and Tasha (highly doubt it, now that Abi hates Woo even more) or they shuffle the tribes again

The only problem I have with Abi is that she is so aggressive and just cuts people off, so she comes across as a losse cannon but if she just waited, listened and then said her piece she'd look like a half decent player

He'll make the merge, because I dont see anybody Angkor losing challenges. They have a shit camp, tribe members that arent in unison and are up against tribes that are stacked with challenge beasts. Tasha and Savage's only challenge is trying to convince Abi that voting off Varner next is the right move.

If the new shit tribe goes back to tribal council then I could see the a situation like All-Stars where the final remaining members of the tribe are split and merged with the other two tribes.

It seems like a lock that Varner's tribe is going back to tribal council so I could see them just bringing it back to two tribes of 8 until we merge.

Angkor (or at least Tasha and Savage) will need to get rid of Woo next to please Abi. You see alot of people that will say she should be kept around because nobody will vote for her at the end or because you need the crazies to keep it entertaining. But have a look at what Abi has done already. She destroyed her first alliance (tbf they fucked it up though) and then destroyed what remained of the new alliance within seconds of having to vote.

But all things considered if I had to be in an alliance with her or Kass, I'd still choose Abi. Once Abi says who she is voting for its who she is voting for and as long as you treat her right she will stay loyal. Kass on the other hand will do whatever the fuck she thinks is good in the moment. Her mind will flip every half an hour. Plus she will inevitably screw you over.

An argument can be made that Abi wins Survivor: Philippines if she makes it to the end.

She had a better shot than both Whelchel and Skupin.

I never really bother with ifs and buts when it comes to survivor the butterfly effect is just way too strong in the game

Thinking about it though, wasnt that the series with Dawn as winner? She went to every tribal and won or something. Nobody was beating her

Are you serious? Denise, Malcolm, RC and Penner were never going to vote for her. They despised her. Carter voted for Skupin. I can't imagine Jeff voting for Abi, either.

She gets Pete and Artis' votes. That's all.

If it's Skupin, Whelchel and Abi as the final three then Abi has a better shot than the other two did with how it played out.

Abi has Pete and Artis locked. I give Jeff vote to Abi also but that's not as locked up as the other two. At least Abi has two votes which would be better than what Skupin and Whelchel got.

We will assume that both RC and Carter vote for the person they originally voted for which would be Whelchel and Skupin.

2-1-1 for Abi at this point and it's down to Denise, Malcolm, Jeff and Penner.

I agree that Denise and Malcolm don't vote for Abi. Malcolm probably votes for Skupin because Whelchel had burned him early in the post merge game. Denise could go either way, not entirely sure who she would vote for.

3-2-1 or 2-2-2 depending how things go with Denise and Malcolm voting.

Penner could decide the winner in a 3-2-1 situation if Denise, Malcolm and Penner all vote for the same person out of Skupin and Whelchel. If it's 2-2-2 before Penner votes then the worst he can do is 3-2-2. Which leaves Jeff who I believe votes for Abi and would make it 3-3-2.

So it's either a 4-3-1 win for either Skupin or Whelchel if Denise, Malcolm and Penner all vote for the same person. Otherwise it's a 3-3-2 tie between Skupin/Whelchel and Abi. Therefore Abi had a better shot at winning Survivor if she makes it than both Skupin and Whelchel did in real life.

I give Jeff vote to Abi also but that's not as locked up as the other two.

But why? Jeff was a conservative, Southern Alpha, which immediately means he's more likely to bond with Skupin. Plus, he had time to bond with Lisa on the reward they shared. He also went after Pete, and by extension Abi, instead of Skupin or Lisa at the tribal council where he was voted off.

So I see Jeff's vote as a toss up between Lisa and Skupin, depending on who he bonded more with. Abi is stuck on two votes, and still never wins.

Edit: Also, in your hypotheticals, the closest Abi gets to winning is a tie with Lisa/Skupin. If the rumours (and logic) are to be believed, that means the member of the Final 3 who got the least votes would cast the tie-breaking vote. Skupin would vote Lisa, Lisa would vote Skupin. Abi still doesn't win.

Who is dawn then? Fuck sake I'm mixing up old women players again

Mom player from South Pacific and Caramoan.

We have to at least give Kass a chance. She's on here for a Second Chance. Maybe she recognized what she did wrong the first time and has changed? Probably not though because it seems like nobody else has changed so far either.

But for real, Kass seems way better so far. It's hard to say because we haven't gotten the chance to see her before a tribal, but as long as she stays like this I won't mind her. My very first impression of Kass was a good one, until she screwed over Spencer and the other dude by keeping J'Tia and all the other horrible moves she made.

Who is dawn then? Fuck sake I'm mixing up old women players again

God, Dawn might be my number one most hated Survivor contestant of all time. That woman...her and Lisa Whelchel. I never had a stronger urge to hit a woman in the face. Dawn is worse though, but those are my top two most hated of all time. The crying, and the crying. Dawn I think I hate more because I had to put up with her twice. She's cry, and she'd want to quit...and then she'd get talked out of it by her tribemates, and then she'd screw them over. Could not stand that woman.

Also if it was Abi, Lisa, and Skupin in that final three I think Skupin wins and I would have quit watching Survivor for a good while.
