Road to Wrestlemania 28 - KEEP ALL WM28 GENERAL DISCUSSION IN HERE!!

WWE Championship
John Cena (c) vs. The Rock
:It's going to happen, unfortunately for the belt

Sin Cara vs. Rey Mysterio
:Would be a great high energy match and would probably still the show

Chokeslam Match
Kane vs. Big Show
:I would keep them together until RR when one eliminates the other and turn Kane heel. It would be a good gimmick match because they both are big men that would be hard to chokeslam the other

Randy Orton vs. "Stone Cold" Steve Austin
:Is it just me or does Randy Orton's moveset and gimmick seem similiar to Stone Cold (or could be), I mean The Viper vs. The Texas Rattlesnake is awesome!

World Heavyweight Championship
Christian (c) vs. Alberto Del Rio
:I know it's random, but I can see Del Rio winning the Rumble and choosing to get back at Christian because wasn't able to get a rematch after Extreme Rules this year.

6-Way Ladder Match
U.S. Championship
Kofi Kingston (c) vs. John Morrison vs. Truth vs. Jack Swagger vs. CM Punk vs. Dolph Ziggler
:I wish this was for the IC Championship, but alas the better talent is on RAW. Truth needs to drop the R from his name. This also assumes CM Punk is i WWE after this year, but this would give the title credibility if all of these guys want it bad enough.

Street Fight
Intercontinental Championship
Sheamus (c) vs. Wade Barrett
:This would be a great feud I think with Sheamus as face. The whole Britain vs. Ireland feud that could end up with both brawlers doing exactly that...brawling

The Miz vs. Chris Jericho
:They have an interesting Twitter war going...or had one...would be a great feud

Divas Championship
Kharma (c) vs. Beth Phoenix
:Honestly, they should have Beth come in soon and get hurt trying to stop Kharma...she comes back, stronger, wanting revenge and setting up for WM and call it the Women's Championship please

Four Way Tag Team Match
WWE Tag Team Championship
The Hart Dynasty (c) vs. The Usos vs. Heath Slater & Husky Harris vs. The Great Khali & Jinder Mahal
:OK, this match is a stretch, admittedly, but I think Slater (country) and Harris (country) would be a great tag team with a country boy, beer drinking gimmick (a la Beer Money) and I see them forming a team with Khali and Mahal. This also stems from the Hart Dynasty being reunited which could be interesting and set up decent feuds with the Usos (Tamina and Natalya being involved).

Yeah I'm aware I leave guys like Daniel Bryan and Mark Henry and Zeke Jackson off the card, but you can't have too too many matches.

Please comment and tell me what you think of the card. Thanks!

This sounds like a chocka blocked card perhaps to big for even Wrestlemania.
They can even Dub this the
RETURN OF THE LEGENDS.

John Cena Vs The Rock
This is gonna be the Greatest Match in10 years and i just hope they draw it out and make it interesting and maybe even have The Miz Interfere to make it more interesting and even put a stipulation with this match even though it dont need it.

Undertaker Vs HHH Streak And Career vs Career
This is almost Locked in. I wouldnt mind seeing it again coz both of thier previous matches where really good and long. And i think he can actuali end this Streat, 3rd Time Lucky. I think this has to be the way for the undertaker to bow out possibly.

World Heavyweight Championship Randy Orton Vs Batista
This could be a brilliant Feud because they have the Evolution background for it and Batista was the one that ended Randy Ortons Run in Evolution. So they alrready have the groundwork for this Feud

Chris Jericho vs Daniel Bryan
This will be for the Wrestling purists and looks like a brilliant match on paper. Chris Jericho would have to be thee best technical Wrestler that can come back too the WWE. If u combine it with one of the rising stars i have there it sounds like a brilliant match. I want it to be Daniel Bryan vs Chris Jericho The technical Showdown

WWE Title Stone Cold VS The Miz/CM Punk
This is the possible show steeler and although i dont see it happening it would be a great match regardless of who is in this match.

Divas Championship: Kharma Vs Beth Pheonix Vs Nataylia
This is the best Divas Match they can make out of the Current Divas Roster I feel.

US Championship R-Truth vs John Morrison
This is a possible great feud with perhaps the greatest heel turn in 10 years and the current status of john morrison he can come back and then get injured again and come back and challenge Truth for a Wrestlemania Match

Sin Cara and Kofi Kingston Vs Rey Mysterio and Evan Bourne Vs Dolph Ziggler and Wade Barrett for the WWE Tag Team Championships
I love the look of this match. Kofi Needs a heel turn to make this a classic and it has that potential. Personally i would love too see this match coz its 4 great high flyers on the grandest stage of em all.

Eziekel Jackson & Mason Ryan vs Kane & Big Show vs The Great Khali & Mark Henry
The Battle Of The giants. This is gonna be a ring Breaker :L it might make for an interesting match. and it wouuld be a good Swan Song for Kane, Big Show and Mark Henry.

Shaemus, Drew McIntyre & Alberto Del Rio Vs Santino Marella, Jack Swagger & Christian
A gimmick match. This could be an interesting opener. And it also gets the international audience more involved. A good Dark Match.

If time allows this...

Ideal Wrestlemania 28 Card
Heels are in Red, Faces are in Black

John Cena vs The Rock
Cena vowed to bring the WWE title to this big event but loses it at the last second to Del Rio, using his Money In The Bank contract after Cena defended his title in the Elimination Chamber. Rock confronts Cena the next night on RAW saying that he isn't a man of his word, and meanwhile the Rock NEVER lets his fans down. Brings this feud to a new level, questioning how much Cena cares for the fans this time. Cena declares that the only title he needs is to be the best the WWE has ever seen. We'd all like Cena to turn heel but this is the type of match where he'll have his supporters and Rock will have his.

WWE Championship
Alberto Del Rio (C) vs The Miz
After losing to John Cena at Over The Limit earlier in the year, the next night on RAW, the anonymous General Manager makes the ruling that The Miz cannot challenge for the WWE Championship as long as Cena holds the title. An infuriated Miz destroys the laptop once and for all, and its replacements in the next two weeks, infuriating Michael Cole who for the first time begins to question The Miz and we never find out who the GM was. When new General Manager Stephanie McMahon just one week before Money In The Bank, informs The Miz that the Board of Directors have announced she can't overturn the decision, The Miz is crestfallen.

He is just about to grab the Money In The Bank briefcase on Pay Per View when Ricardo Rodriguez grabs his leg and Del Rio steals it. The two feud for the next month but Miz's bad luck continues when Del Rio narrowly defeats him again. Later that night, during one of Cena's title defences on Pay Per View, The Miz runs out... only to have second thoughts and walk back, realizing what that title means.

He turns face, with the fans behind him for respecting the championship, having Michael Cole against him now, and the sympathy of him being unable to go for the gold again. He is kept away from Del Rio for the rest of the calendar year as a cocky heel (McIntyre) berates Miz. Miz takes exception and says for The Chosen One, he hasn't really been chose to do much. Miz is kept feuding with McIntyre and then later R-Truth (who is still claiming of title conspiracies but Miz reminds him you have to be near the title to be in a conspiracy, like he was).

At the Royal Rumble, Miz finally earns a chance to go for gold as he wins the rumble! He has tears coming down his face as his nightmare ends. For the next month it is speculated he'll go after Orton's championship due to the Cena ruling. Though he has brushes with Del Rio who cockily backstage disses Miz saying that he can choose when Destiny is with the Money In The Bank Briefcase (which he has upgraded to be a luxury case) whilst Miz's destiny will crash and burn at Wrestlemania against the Viper.

At Elimination Chamber, Cena successfully defends against McIntyre, Swagger, Punk, Morrison and Big Show. Suddenly, Del Rio's music hits and he capitalizes on a tired Cena to cash in his money in the bank. The very moment his music plays and Rodriguez announces him as the NEW WWE Champion finally...

"AWESOMEEEEEEEEEE"

Del Rio's face goes white with fear as he realizes what he's done, Miz storms straight to the ring and goes to blows with Del Rio and ends up Skull Crushing Finaleing him, looking up at the 'Mania sign and holding the WWE Championship over Del Rio.

One man's destiny cements another's.

Streak vs Career
HHH vs Undertaker III
A great man said "I'll break the streak or die trying". That man was HHH.

He failed.

With Undertaker finally returning to settle things before Wrestlemania, he wants the same stipulation with HHH that he had with an eager Shawn Michaels years ago. If HHH fails this time, he retires. Can't see either being heel here too.

World Championship
Randy Orton (C) vs Chris Jericho w/ Wade Barrett

Randy Orton has been dominant on top of Smackdown ever since his first night on the brand. Just like Cena on RAW, he's managed to hold the title throughout 2011. However, a new threat has came in 2012. With Orton losing some of his sinister characteristics recently and Cody Rhodes recently becoming psychologically disturbed, the two had to clash sooner or later.

After successfully defending his Championship against rival Christian at TLC , Orton would be blindsided by Ted DiBiase. After getting the better of Ted, Orton would be teasing waiting for Ted to get up to hit the RKO... when suddenly, he is struck down by a chair to the back from...

Cody Rhodes.

From here, Ted holds Randy down for Rhodes to repeatedly headbutt with his mask before placing a paper bag on his head.

For weeks, it is built up that Cody is now more of a psychological disturbed mess than Orton ever was. He tells Orton that he is hiding from his old ways, and he wants him to wear a bag to symbolize it. Orton actually shows some regret in interviews for some of his actions, stating that it was because he was disturbed from being kicked out of Evolution, being denied of the chance to outshine his mentor HHH and get his worthy revenge, so he knows what is going through Cody's head right now. Cody is a threat. Cody even helps Ted win the Intercontinental Championship, suggesting that Rhodes is having more of an effect on Ted's career than Randy ever had. At Royal Rumble, the stage was set for a World Championship match between them, the anticipation that Rhodes and DiBiase could be on top of Smackdown, breaking away from their mentor.

For weeks building up to the pay-per-view, Orton had been receiving messages and strange video messages saying the past had been coming back to haunt him. Surely it was Cody? Interference when the referee is down from DiBiase with the IC Belt backfires as he accidentally strikes Cody. The referee and Cody rise back up at the same time... RKO. 1...2...3. Here is your winner... Bam! Jericho returns and lays out Orton.

Jericho is revealed on Smackdown as the man who had been sending the messages after being out for over a year! Jericho informs Orton that if he thought a man who had little damage to his face was a threat, wait til he gets a load of the man who was out for so long due to it. During the Elimination Chamber qualifying matches, the Corre help each other out in their victories. Justin Gabriel beats Kane due to Barrett and Slater's interference, and Heath Slater beats Brodus Clay (in the middle of a big Monster face push) due to Barrett and Gabriel's interference. When Barrett faces former stablemate Ezekiel Jackson, Slater and Gabriel are took out backstage by Brodus Clay and Kane. Left to fend by himself, Barrett gets unlikely assistance from Jericho. Who smirks as he walks up the ramp, the end of the show. The next week, Jericho again helps out Barrett in a match against fellow qualifier Christian. Barrett asks Jericho what this is about. Jericho says he knows how Wade wasn't able to get the job done with Orton in the past, and neither could he. But together, the past could come back to haunt Orton. With The Corre all qualified for the Chamber, the chances of Orton being took out are greater than ever. Barrett dismisses Jericho saying he has the chance to win the Championship himself and he'll see Jericho at Wrestlemania.

In the Elimination Chamber it is Orton defending against Barrett, Slater, Gabriel, Sheamus and Christian. Orton starts off against Slater and RKO's him instantly to pin him. When Gabriel comes out, he too suffers the same fate. The numbers advantage meant nothing as none of them were in the ring together. Sheamus manages to eliminate Christian and Barrett later on in the match but is stopped by Orton who retains. Jericho walks down onto the ramp and stares at Orton but suddenly smirks, as the Corre run out from behind him and lay into Orton. Jericho gets easy pickings to put him in the walls as Barrett applauds Jericho.

On Smackdown, Teddy Long announces that if Jericho and The Corre are going to talk about the past so much, then let's see it in action. For the next few weeks, just like Orton had to against the Nexus last year, if Orton beats a Corre member each week they are unable to be at ringside for the match at Wrestlemania. If a Corre member wins, they are a legal ringside enforcer. Orton defeats (and punts) Slater and Gabriel, but Jericho manages to stop him from defeating Barrett. Jericho tells Barrett that it went just like they planned, they let Slater and Gabriel get punted as they'd probably screw this up for them at Wrestlemania anyway. They smirk. Barrett and Jericho constantly get the better of Orton on Smackdown, but will Jericho and his legal enforcer Barrett reign supreme at Wrestlemania?

Falls Count Anywhere
CM Punk vs John Morrison
I'd use the Elimination Chamber to kick off this feud, Morrison eliminating Punk. It'd be a rehash of the Jeff Hardy feud as CM Punk would criticize Morrison's rockstar lifestyle. During 2011, CM Punk made Nexus stronger by turning them straight edge. Morrison says he remembers when the whole locker room had to stand up to Nexus as they were the strongest force in the WWE, now... it's just Mason Gallows, Serenatunga and Michael Mercury. He asks Punk how the Straight Edge Society worked out for him. Morrison's words eventually work and Punk watches the Nexus split up before his eyes. Angered like never before, Punk does anything he can to attack Morrison himself week after week backstage. Morrison however manages to fight back using the environment to his advantage. At Wrestlemania, Punk can use weapons to exact his revenge and Morrison can use the environment to topple Punk as its Falls Count Anywhere.

Intercontinental Championship
Ted DiBiase (C) vs Cody Rhodes

Rhodes helped DiBiase's career, and assisted him in winning the Intercontinental Championship. Yet DiBiase couldn't help Rhodes get the job done against Orton, and it infuriated him. On Smackdown! after the Royal Rumble, they came out together as normal, before Rhodes announced that there's someone else who's been hiding behind something. "Ted, priceless friend, you've been hiding behind I". Rhodes laid out DiBiase. The next week, DiBiase cut a promo saying he no longer needs to hide under a paper bag because he is his own man, and he has the gold to prove it.

This then leads to Ted needing to prove himself against Cody on the grandest stage of them all.

Monster Mash Battle Royal
Big Show vs Kane vs Sheamus vs Mark Henry vs Khali vs Brodus Clay

Sheamus brags about his dominance in the Elimination Chamber, and while he didn't get the job done, he certainly proved he is the strongest man in the WWE. Mark Henry takes offence to this, claiming himself as the World's Strongest Man. Brodus Clay and Kane both join the debate, showing their footage of their attacks on Slater and Gabriel. Jinder Mahal comes out with Khali and asks the men in the ring if they're blind and haven't watched how Khali is now back to being the most dominant big man in the WWE? This suddenly even brings out Big Show from RAW who says they all forgot about the giant on the Red Show. This sets up a HUGE match for Mania.

There's always some form of special attraction at Mania, this would be it.

Mask vs Mask
Rey Mysterio vs Sin Cara

Sin Cara was close to realizing his dream at Mania, even eliminating Rey Mysterio in the process via a headscissors. Rey couldn't believe it, and uncharacteristically re-entered when Cara was on the other side of the ropes and 619'd him out of the match, turning heel. Rey explains his actions on RAW, saying he did what he could to not be replaced. Cara does the fingerpoint of doom and storms to the ring to attack Mysterio. For weeks Rey talks about the tradition of lucha libre and how they fight with pride but Cara is a thief and has none of that. He wants Cara to remove his mask at Mania if he loses, Stephanie McMahon confirms this stipulation. On Smackdown, Teddy Long adds if Cara wins, Rey must remove his.

United States Championship
Jack Swagger (With Sgt. Slaughter) (C) vs Drew McIntyre (With Roddy Piper)

Ever since winning the United States Championship, Jack Swagger has became a man of the people. He's defended the country he loves and defeated any challenger along the way. On an episode of Piper's Pit on RAW however, Piper accuses Swagger of just being like every other American, second-rate to the Scottish. USA chants break out throughout the arena and Swagger gets Piper in the Ankle lock. Suddenly, McIntyre appears and lays out Swagger with a FutureShock DDT. The next week, McIntyre with Piper brag about the festivities saying they're bringing pride back to their country when suddenly Swagger comes out and he's not alone, he has Sgt. Slaughter with him! The tribulations result in one hell of a match at Wrestlemania

WWE Tag Team Championship (Most likely sent to Dark Match)
Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov (C) vs Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins
My mind is blank here guys, just a general feud I suppose!

WWE Divas Championship
Kharma (C) vs Beth Phoenix
Easy really, Kharma had destroyed the Divas Division for a whole year. But hadn't faced Phoenix yet. At Wrestlemania, will Beth save the division? Or will Kharma defeat her final foe?

Smackdown vs RAW Lumberjack Match (Winner gets title shot on next show)
Christian vs R-Truth
(Lumberjacks: Alex Riley, Chavo Guerrero, Daniel Bryan, Ezekiel Jackson (SD!), Chris Masters, Dolph Ziggler, Evan Bourne, Kofi Kingston (RAW))
With Cara vs Mysterio deemed too personal to be about brand pride, and the Monster Mash battle royal being lobsided towards Smackdown, Stephanie throws down the gauntlet to Teddy Long for a Smackdown vs RAW challenge match. Truth is complaining about conspiracies being kept away from the Title and so Stephanie goads him into competing in this match by allowing him the first title shot after Wrestlemania if he wins. Teddy Long sees how frustrated Christian is at being unable to gain the title during 2011 and gives him the same deal if he competes for Smackdown. With so many other superstars vying to represent their brand, there are 4 official lumberjacks around the ring representing their brand. Whilst many want the title shot themselves, their brand is a big enough reason to work together. Masters and Jackson both wanted to be part of the Monster Mash Battle Royal but sweet talking from their GM's kept their attention. Kofi had joined in with R-Truth about conspiracies and making racial allegations and was happy to help represent him. For Dolph, Vickie suggested to him that it would help get him nearer the title trail again if he helped his brand out. The others all just wanted a spot on the Mania card.

ok with the main event being John Cena vs The Rock which should be epic what other match would you like to see out of these?

World Title
Randy Orton vs Batista(if he does Return
)
well Batista and strikeforce's deal has fell through so we might be seeing the return of the Animal.

Streak Match
Last Man Standing
Triple H vs Undertaker

it would be the 3rd encounter between these 2 legends and the last time they met Triple H was the last man standing after the match so this might the stipulation for there 3rd encounter.

Streak Match
Undertaker vs Goldberg

another dream amtch which fan's would love to see we all know that Goldberg wanted to come back at this years Wrestlemania for one last match so who knows he mght want to come back for next years wrestlemania.

World Title
Chris Jericho vs Randy Orton

they havent really had a decent feud yet and the last time they met was in 2007 so this match is long over due.

Grudge Match
Triple H vs CM Punk

these 2 havent had a feud yet the promos would be great and the match itself could steal the show

WWE Title
T.L.C Match
The Miz vs John Morrison vs Christan

just thought this would be cool to see.

Streak Match
Alberto Del Rio vs Undertaker

I think these 2 could work really well together and if you think about it Randy Orton was'nt the big star he is now when he took on the Undertaker at Wrestlemania 21.

Streak Match
Undertaker vs Stone Cold Steve Austin

they feud 1997, 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002 but they have never had a match at Wrestlemania which is ashame so maybe next year could be the one since Austin is back to 100%.

Grudge Match
Steve Austin vs CM Punk

they are having a tweeter war so maybe a match at Wrestlemania could be great.

WWE Title
Chris Jericho vs The Miz

another match that could work really well both men are good on the mic so the build up would be great and Jericho can make anyone look good in the ring together.

Icon vs Icon
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Goldberg

the dream match of the monday night war's so Goldberg could come back and say the last time he was here Stone Cold stunned him at WM20 so your next and then both men can go on they were the faces of their companys and everyone wanted to see these 2 go at it so lets do it at Wrestlemania 28.
so what do you guys think?

I would have to say either Randy Orton vs Chris Jericho or The Miz vs Chris Jericho.
Randy Orton vs Chris Jericho
It's true that these two havent had a real feud yet and when Jericho left soon after Night of Champions last year his last time on air he was getting punted by Orton. I would kill to see this happen as they are my top 2 favorite wrestlers, but all the fans would enjoy and appriciate the skills, credentials and star power between these two very talented superstars.
Chris Jericho vs The Miz
Although I dont like Miz very much, I respect how he has improved in the last year and his image is somewhat Jericho esqe. I would like to see what would happen when the young cocky superstar clashes with the iconic Y2J, not only would the promos be great, but it would be a battle in the ring.

I hope at wrestlemanina 28 we see:

Undertaker vs Wade Barrett
People seem to have forgotten that Wade has had some sort of vendetta against the dead man for a while now but he hasn't faced him 1 on 1
John Cena vs The Rock
Well that's already been confirmed but I don't want it to be a championship match
Money in the bank match: Zack ryder vs Jack Swagger vs Tyson kidd vs Alex riley vs Dolph Ziggler

CM Punk vs Austin
There twitter fight need's to become a real fight, austin has shown on tough enough that he's fit enough for one more match

Randy Orton(c) vs Sheamus
No holds barred

The Miz (c) vs Jericho

Jericho Orton, and ADR Vs Undertaker.

Jericho Orton left a bookmark on a page, and we need to finish the chapter. I'd think this feud is going to be inevitable when Jericho can devote his time to finishing out his WWE Career (cross fingers!)

Alberto Del Rio could use "retiring el muerto" to push him into the next level, similar to how the HHH match ended, he wouldn't need to win to accomplish this. Alberto's already spoken about ending the Taker's streak, so at least 1 of the parties involved is hot on this, even though I'm 99% sure Taker is going to retire undefeated for future marketing purposes.

I'll add a couple if i may.

1. I'd like to see some Attitude Era popular mid-carders return at WrestleMania, so maybe Ahmed Johnson or Savio Vega vs. Goldust?

2. Maybe Kurt Angle could come back and have an Iron Man Match with Jack Swagger?

3. Finally, to cap off Undertaker's win streak at 20-0, Undertaker vs. Kane in a Hell in a Cell Match. Assuming WWE creative can stop putting tag team belts on main eventers.

quink987

Your idea of a Goldberg vs Undertaker Streak match would be awesome, i think if they were to do this right they would need to recreate Goldberg's Streak so that someones steak would end . Thats the only way i see it being done right .

I think the best choice would be Orton vs Y2J. Orton being the champion going in to WM and having Y2J winning the royal rumble would set up for a fantastic match

I can't see The Undertaker ever losing at Wrestlemania..even to get sombody over. The legecy is too huge now that it would be almost ashame to end it and pointless really at this stage. Unless Vince really wanted to push sombody right to the very top but then this sombody could go to another company or not use the push well and flop. I think it's too risky now to ever end it to a young up and comer.

So..

One of the greatest fueds of the last 20 years..bringing out a different (better) side in The Undertaker, great promos, great matches..no wrestlemania match. I would like to see these two ageing superstars go at in one last time on the grandest stage of them all.

Mick Foley Vs The Undertaker

One of them does not work for WWE but I am sure Vince could make that happen. I would be more interested in seeing what these two can pull off one last time rather than Triple H Vs Undertaker III

Lotta potentially great matches here:

Randy Orton vs. Batista - I can't say that I'm interested in this match all that much. I'm sure it'd be solid but it's not something that would make me wanna spend money.

Triple H vs. The Undertaker: Last Man Standing - This would be a money match, no doubt and it's a logical idea when you look at it. The selling point of this match would be building it as an epic, which I thought they did well for WM 27, and I think they could do it. A LMS match with these two would be simply about who wants it more and who is simply tougher.

The Undertaker vs. Goldberg - Sounds like a good idea on paper and it'd definitely draw buys, but the match wouldn't live up to expecations. The reason why Goldberg's matches were kept so short was because his faults were impossible to deny the longer a match went. If the match went longer than 10 minutes, Goldberg would lose. If it went less than 10 minutes, fans would be ripped off and The Streak would be tainted. So, me personally, I'd pass on this one.

Chris Jericho vs. Randy Orton - This would just be a downright enteraining and great wrestling match to watch. Would it be a money match? Probably not, but it'd be a treat for any fan to see these two have a big meaningful match at the biggest ppv of the year.

Triple H vs. CM Punk - This is a match with potential. We've seen little interaction between Trips & Punk and a feud with Trips would do amazing things for Punk's career.

The Miz vs. John Morrison vs. Christian - This would just be a lot of fun to watch and has show stealer written all over it. Probably wouldn't be a big money match generally speaking, but it'd be one of those matches that'd definitely keep fans excited and wanting to see it.

Alberto Del Rio vs. The Undertaker - It'd be a good match but Del Rio isn't on Taker's level right now. Del Rio is a hot heel right now but he's only been in WWE less than a year. It just doesn't have that "epic" feel to it and I think that's the direction the WWE wants to go with for The Streak.

The Undertaker vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin - This would be huge and would almost certainly draw a lot of buys. It'd be a clash between legends, two guys that haven't been at each other since the closing days of the Attitude Era. Both of them have significant wins over the other, including in title matches, so the WWE would have no problem building this up as a clash of titans to ultimately see who the better man is.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. CM Punk - As with Triple H, a feud with Austin would do wonders for CM Punk. Austin is said to be a huge fan of Punk's and a match between them would be pretty interesting. Austin's brawling tactics against Punk's general athleticism is a good mix. Probably wouldn't be an "epic" match but one that would be entertaining and could mean a lot for Punk.

Chris Jericho vs. The Miz - Again, I just think that this would be an all out entertaining match to watch. Chris Jericho can work with anyone and have a great match. Probably not a money match but one of those matches that made you glad you decided to see the show.

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Goldberg - Basically, take everything I said about Taker vs. Goldberg and apply it here. It would have an epic feel about it but the match would be disappointing in the end I think.

Even though I'm just supposed to pick one other, I'm gonna pick more than one. I'm a Mod and I'm special. :p :

Hmmm Trips vs. Taker in a Last Man Standing match sounds pretty awesome and it's a match that I think has the best chance of actually happening. Triple H's comments after WM on Raw would suggest that he's open to going after Taker again at WM. They had a fantastic match this past Mania so I'd pay to see this.

I'd probably also go with The Miz vs. JoMo vs. Christian in a TLC match. We all know it'd be a great match and, depending upon how it ended, could very well be the one that steals the show no matter what ppv it's put on.

i would want to see john cena beat undertaker at wrestlemania 28 in a i leave wwe match so undertaker can retire. i would also want to see randy orton vs sin cara for the title.

I have a question for "the peoples fans". Lets say we get to March. It's Mania season and the lights are on bright. everyones getting hyped. then suddenly..The Rock backs out and has other plans....Would you forgive the Rock then? would you still think hes here for you? Would you still think Team Bring It is not just a catchy t-shirt logo? I just the Rocks fans to understand that he doesn't give a shit about you.Think about it..When did the Rock come back..right after he finished his movie Fast Five. (good movie I wont lie) when did the Rock Leave? Right after the movie debuted. have hes shown up? nooo has he made an appearance? nooo has he even did a via satellite? wrong again.... Now I respect whats hes done but face facts. he left he dropped the ball. who picked it up? Cena..now Im not a Huge Cena fan but in this instance I gotta pull with Cena on this one.everything he said about the Rock is correct. He has loyal fans but hes not loyal to them. He thinks oh if i post funny tweets that counts as making an appearance. uh-uh. See I see this as an abused girlfriend and her abused boyfriend. the abuser (Rock) does whatever he wants, leaves when he wants and has his "people in the palm of his hand. then we have the abused girlfriend (his fans) mad at him when he screws up..in this instance when the rock left...and ass the abuser(rock) has to say are a few sweet words (stupid catchphrases) and the girlfriend (the people) accept whatever he says and is gulliable and think "they didnt mean it hell always be around..things will be different this time"...So again I ask..what side will you be on this time if he doesnt show up?

I'm gonna update my card as things have drastically changed (Edge retiring, Christian Heel Turn, The Draft, injuries, random pushes)

Main Event:
John Cena vs The Rock
Already set, we know the deal here.

WWE Championship:
Alberto Del Rio vs Rey Mysterio
With Miami having a big latino community this would be huge. I know we've seen this before but they do put on great matches and this would be a draw. Not to mention they could possibly do something with Rey retiring considering he is older and to add a little freshness to their rivalry.

World Heavyweight Championship:
Randy Orton vs Cody Rhodes (RR Winner)
Renewed rivalry. History with Legacy. Rhodes is getting a push and it is only a matter of time until he is on top of Smackdown. Not mention I'm personally loving his gimmick right now and think he is doing it to perfection

The Streak
Hell in a Cell
Undertaker vs Triple H
To me, there is no other way to add freshness to this unless it is Hell in a Cell. I think with them getting rid of the HIAC ppv, they hsouldn't touch a HIAC match until Mania, that way it is surprising. Both men are the embodiment of Hell in a Cell, let's see it!

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Miz
The night after Mania they teased the "one more match" and we had a bt of Stone Cold beating on Miz. Then this past Monday on Raw we had Stone Cold stunnering Miz. Stone Cold will be around as the Raw GM and I'm sure Miz will do something. This would be... AWWWWWWEEEESSSSOOOOOME!

Bellas vs Returning Kharma
It's possible she will be back and this would be the place to have her finally have an ACTUAL match.

10 man US Title/IC Title Unification Ladder Match
Ted DIbiase vs Sin Cara vs Christian vs Justin Gabriel vs Wade Barret vs Evan Bourne vs Dolph Ziggler vs Jack Swagger vs Kofi Kingston vs Alex Riley
Seems like a good Idea and then the belt being a cross over on both shows will bring it a little more prestige and more airtime to whoever is champion which equals a way to push young talent.

Mason Ryan vs Ezekial Jackson
This could be something they start at the Royal Rumble and just have them randomly run into each other for a few months.

CM Punk vs Andy "Silent Rage" TE Winner
They could possibly put on a good match. Punk is so good in the ring it could help Andy. Not to mention Punk is good at everything which means they could come up with a decent feud for the two.

here is the latest on the main site

http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/article/exclusive-early-wrestlemania-28-plans-matches-131087

truth be told, nothing seems to really grab me. I guess it depends on what they do between now and then but a lot of those seem to be throw-aways, i.e. you can tell who is going to win right now. rock/cena is a given but i would really like to see them build guys up and maybe not use someone like triple h if they didn't need to, or at least not in one of the big matches. create the matches around guys like the miz, swagger, rhodes, etc and really start to push them as stars instead of trying to mix them with the older talent. unless guys like triple h, orton and cena put these new guys over and do it in a way that really makes them look good, it is a waste.

I actually am really digging the proposed WM28 card on the main site. Everything catches my eyes minus Miz/Triple H. I'm not sure why that doesn't really catch me. We've all been craving for Taker and Jericho to have a proper feud and what better way to do so. Hell it is an easy way to get Jericho back as well. Him and Taker could really steal the show at Mania and Jericho has crazy respect for Taker, so you damn well know he'll do his best to get a great match out of what could be a very limited Deadman.

Continuing on we have Sin Cara and Mysterio. I know I'm not the only one that instantly thought about that matchup when the WWE signed Mistico. And what better place to have this potentially epic encounter than at Wrestlemania. Also can't leave out Orton and ADR. Not sure how they could build that up, but I'd imagine something at the Rumble would occur and they'd have an inter-promotional match ala Rey and Sin Cara.

That proposed card looks pretty darn good, though we all know we probably won't see anything close to resembling that. Things will change, people will get hurt, someone will step up, et cetera.

Agreed besides the Big Show vs Shaq match, that early WM28 card is pretty solid. While Triple H vs Miz doesn't stand out to me either, it doesn't scream throw away or weak. Jericho outside of Cena( or even the Rock) is probably the best person for the dead man to get win number 20 and possibly be his last match. I can see this match right before Cena/Rock as it would probably be main event quality if the main event already wasn't decided upon. Sin Cara vs Rey is a match I have been dying to see. It is going to be interesting on how they book it. Will it be face vs face in a friendly rivalry match or will Rey turn heel( I don't see Sin Cara being the one to turn heel)?

The card is certainly better than WM27 so far.

My Wrestlemania 28 card and how the match got set up

Opening match
Rey Mysterio(Face) vs Sin Cara(Face)

How the match got set up-At a ppv(most likely Royal Rumble)Mysterio and Sin Cara meet backstage and Rey says you remind me of me at a younger age, and challenges him to a match on Raw.In their 1st match(at Raw)it ends in a double countout. In their 2nd match(on the following Smackdown)Sin Cara wins in a hard fought match by a quick roll up.So the 3rd match will be at WM28
Winner:Rey Mysterio

Following match
United States Title Kofi Kingston(Champion.Face) vs Mason Ryan(Heel)

How the match got set up-On a Raw a few weeks until the Royal Rumble, Ryan beats Kingston fair and square and gets a title shot at the Royal Rumble.Ryan wins that match by countout, so the anyonamous Raw gm makes it a match at WM28
Winner:Mason Ryan

3rd match
Street Fight:Andy Leavine(Face) vs Sheamus(heel)

How the match got set up-On a Raw alittle after Hell in a Cell Vince Mchmahon tells Leavine to come out to the ring and decide which show he wants to be on.Leavine picks Smackdown and just when Leavine is going back into his brand new locker room on Smackdown Sheamus Brough kicks him and says welcome to Smackdown.Next week Leavine shows up and tells Sheamus his 1st WWE match will be against him.Leavine wins by DQ only because Sheamus just destroys him and completely ignores the Referee. And after months of brawling it ends at WM28.
Winner:Andy Leavine

4th match
8 Man Elimination Match
Kane(Face) vs R-Truth(heel) vs Justin Gabriel(Face) vs Cody Rhodes(Heel) vs Michael McGillicutty(Heel) vs Dolph Ziggler(Heel) vs David Otunga(Heel) vs Heath Slater(Face)

How the match got set up-Vince Mchmahon makes an announcment alittle before 2012 that there will be an interpromotional elimination style match a WM28 to determain the #1 contender for their shows major title. The participants each one indivudial matches to qualify.
Winner:Cody Rhodes

5th match
#1 Contender for WWE title Alberto Del Rio(Heel) vs Alex Riley(Face) vs The Miz(Heel)

How the match got set up-There was a triple threat match on Raw 2 weeks before WM28 to determain the #1 contender for the WWE title the night after WM28.Insted it turned into a 6 man tag match between Miz,Del Rio,and Ryan vs Riley,Cena, and Kingston. So the match got postponed until WM28.
Winner:Alberto Del Rio

6th match
World Heavyweight Title
Randy Orton(Champion.Face) vs CM Punk(Heel)

How the match got set up-Orton has held the title since before Over The Limit.CM Punk got attacked by Nexus at Summerslam which caused him to miss months of action, but he returned at the Royal Rumble and won it.Now Punk has jumped to Smackdown and challenged Orton for the title at WM28.
Winner:CM Punk

7th match:The Streak
The Undertaker vs Chris Jericho

How the match was started-Undertaker appears on Raw every week from the start of 2012 getting E-mails from the Raw gm, saying "I have the perfect opponent for you Undertaker at WM28, but you wont find out who it is until WM28".Hints came every week giving Undertaker the thoughs it was Stone Cold, HHH, HBK Giving Undertaker no clue who he has to prepare for.
Winner:The Undertaker 20-0

8th match
WWE Championship John Cena(Champion.Face) vs The Rock(Face)
How the match got set up-"Our match at WM28 will be for the WWE championship"-John Cena. You know all the stuff until Capitol Punishment. After that, every time John Cena defends the WWE title The Rock interferes and makes Cena win by DQ until late 2011 when the Raw gm said if The Rock interferes in Cenas WWE title match anymore Cena will be strip of the title. So The Rock does it again and Cena gets stript of the title. Now there is a tournament on Raw to see who wins it and the final two competeders are Cena and Del Rio.Del Rio wins the WWE title(thanks to The Rock). So now Cena has to qualify for the elimination chamber and win it to keep his word.He qualifys for it and wins the WWE championship, then right after he wins the title Dolph Ziggler cashes in Money in the Bank and takes the title from Cena.So the night after(Cena knows hes not 100%)Cena uses his rematch clause, then the Raw gm says(or quotes) "Cena you have your rematch tonight if you really want it, but the Special Referee will be The Rock".So in that match Ziggler clearly has Cena beat but The Rock doesnt decide to pin Rock Bottoms Ziggler and puts Cena on top and counts to 3.So after all that Cena still kept his word.
Winner:John Cena

AHHHA Should I work for WWE or what??

Note: In a Fantasy World this is How I would Book WM 28

Pre-Wrestlemania Match
Tag Team Championship: Barret/Sheamus (c) vs Evan/Justin Gabriel
This match is set-up by Evan and Gabriel winning a No. 1 Contender Match on Raw.
Winner: Still Champion Barret/Sheamus

Opening & Career Match: Rey Mysterio vs Sin Cara
This is set-up at Survivor Series with Mysterio on one team and Cara on the other team. Cara pins Mysterio and gets the best of him. Then at Royal Rumble Cara eliminates Mysterio. So, Mysterio leaves for a month bcuz he has doubts that he still belongs in the WWE. Then he returns to challenge Cara for Wrestlemania and says if he doesn't beat Cara he'll retire.
Winner: Rey Mysterio

Grudge Match (Who is the Bigger Star) : Chris Jericho vs The Miz
Jericho brings back the Highlight Reel on Raw to announce that he will win enter and win the Royal Rumble. Miz comes out interrupts him and says he will win the Rumble and should have his own show. They fight during the Rumble and in the Elimination Chamber. Eventually makes this a media war about who is the bigger star and fight at Mania.
Winner: Chris Jericho

6 Man Tag Team Brand vs Brand Match (No. 1 Contender)
R-Dolph Ziggler Kofi Kingston Alex Riley vs S-Cody Rhodes Daniel Bryan Kane
Both GMs pick their team to represent their Brand with each member of the winning team can challenge for a championship of their choosing in the future.
Winner: (Raw) Dolph Ziggler, Kofi Kingston, and Alex Riley

WWE Championship (Ladder Match): Christian (c) vs John Morrison
Christian gets traded to Raw for Alberto Del Rio. Christian wins the title and Morrison challenges Christian because he won the Royal Rumble. Christian says he will fight Morrison in a match he revolutionized at past WrestleManias and a match he never loses which is the Ladder Match.
Winner: New WWE Champion John Morrison

Legend Grudge Match (Street Fight): Stone Cold vs CM Punk
CM Punk keeps trashing Stone Cold for his lifestyle and trashes the fans for cheering Stone Cold. CM Punk says he will be the fans Savior and show them of their evil ways by beating their alcohol hero Stone Cold Steve Austin. He keeps challenging Stone Cold on Raw for a match and gets no Answer. Therefore Punk goes to J.R.'s house and beats him up. Next Week Stone Cold comes back with a beer truck and accepts Punk's challenge but for a Street Fight.
Winner: Stone Cold

World Heavyweight Title Match: Randy Orton vs Alberto Del Rio (c)
Randy Orton goes into Elimination Chamber as Champion and wins. However, Del Rio cashes in his Money in the Bank and beats Orton to win the Title. Orton has a rematch clause and challenges Del Rio at Wrestlemania.
Winner: Still Champion Alberto Del Rio

Divas Championship Match: Beth Phoenix vs Natalya (c)
This match is set-up about who is the most dominate diva in the WWE.
Winner: New Champion Beth Phoenix (With the Return Of KHARMA)

Wrestlemania Streak on the Line (Last Man Standing): Undertaker vs HHH
Taker and HHH fight at Summerslam and HHH wins. Taker leaves and comes back and fights HHH in the Oct. PPV and wins. Finally at Survivor Series its HHH vs Taker in HIAC. If HHH wins he can challenge for the Streak one last time and if Undertaker wins HHH can not. HHH wins the Hell in A Cell and Taker leaves again but plays minds with a countdown to WM. Taker returns in March and says the clock represents HHH's time in the WWE bcuz he'll end up just like HBK and will never want to wrestle again. HHH doesn't fall for it and challenges Taker to a Last Man Standing Match. Takers wins by one sec and falls back down. HHH yells Taker needs help. Kane and Paul Bearer come out and revive Undertaker and they do some Supernatural stuff walk towards the Stage and descend down to "Hell" to finally go home.
Winner:20-0!!!

Celebrity Match : Big Show vs Shaq
Its based around who really the biggest athlete in the world.
Winner: Shaq

Legend vs Icon: The Rock vs Cena
The Rock comes back to be Referee of Cena's title match at Summerslam. Cena's opponent cheats with out Rock knowing and counts the pinfall causing Cena to loose the Title. The fans cheer while Cena is frustrated and turns on The Rock beating him up real bad. Cena cuts a promo bout how he has been in the WWE for years and is a 10x WWE Champion but still can't get respect. While Rock leaves for 7 yrs and comes back with an ovation. Cena is finally heel and the crowd flips with man cheers and soft boos. Rock returns at royal rumble and eliminates Cena then Cena eliminates Rock. Rock cuts a promo saying he will always be the People's Champ bcuz he embraces the people. So its set-up best of the attitude era vs. the PG era.
Winner: The Rock celebrates with the fans in his hometown of Miami

Now, we know that the last few 'Manias have been terrible. But I think WWE is setting to make up for it by making WM 28 the best ever. Here me out. Now the night after WM 27, we were informed that Cena would face The Rock, possibly for the WWE title.:) Plus, we know this year is possibly The Undertaker's last match, ending his career on a 20-0! Then, you have guys like CM Punk that are on fire right now! The crowd is eating him up! If he stays with WWE, WM 28 might end up being big for him. Next, You have Sin Cara, who debuted earlier this year. Everybody anxiously waiting for him and Mysterio to have a match! Why not on the grandest stage of 'em all? Lastly the, the HOF will obviously take on The Rock:) in his freaking hometown! Hopefully, the Macho Man Randy Savage can get a rightfully deserved spot and make this the best class ever!

Now, agree/disagree? Something to add, remove?
