Which rumored WM 27 match sounds like it will be the best?

  • The Miz vs John Cena for the WWE Title

  • Triple H vs Sheamus

  • Randy Orton vs CM Punk

  • The Undertaker vs Wade Barrett

Results are only viewable after voting.
On WrestleZone's main page, there's a story listing what the rumored undercard for this year's WrestleMania event is going to look like. I've seen this same rumor reported on a few other sites and the matches for the undercard are as follows:

John Morrison, Kelly Kelly & Trish Stratus vs. Dolph Ziggler & LayCool

The Corre vs. Big Show, Kane, Kofi Kingston & Christian

Rey Mysterio vs. Dashing Cody Rhodes

Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus for the WWE United States Championship

A yet to be named Divas match

There's still 4 more episodes of Raw and 4 of SmackDown! until WrestleMania and any or all of this could be changed. Hell, there's no guarantee that any of this will go down, with the probable exception of Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes. I'd definitely prefer to see Christian made part of the WHC picture. Given his feud with Del Rio, I think a three way dance would work just fine. I'd prefer to see Ziggler & JoMo in some sort of 1 on 1 match personally.

So, if this does indeed turn out to be the final undercard for WrestleMania 27, how does it look to you?

JGlass, how are Dolph Ziggler and John Morrison really at all above the midcard title picture? I mean John Morrison has had only ONE World Championship match (and it was only on an episode of Raw)? And Ziggler followed Vickie to the top and was handed his first and only World Title for all of 15 minutes, then was embarrassed in 3 minutes by Edge to lose it? Are they really legitimate contenders? And how are they so far above the midcard, but Sheamus (who is likely really in the US Title match at WM, is already a 2-time WWE Champion and was the man who put Triple H out for 10 months) is not worthy of the World Title hunt? That makes really no sense.

Now a match between the 2 of them would be a great idea, just an interpromotional match or something that would showcase the talents of 2 of the WWE's most talented stars, and it would attract attention to both shows. Plus, I personally always have looked forward to the quick-paced 1-on-1 matchup, simliar to a Kurt Angle vs. Chris Benoit or a Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho if they were all in their prime. If you are a true wrestling fan, I have to believe that would make you excited to watch. Having the Divas involved ruins an opportunity for a match that hasn't happened since 2009 to be re-enacted on the biggest stage when they both have gained huge ground in their careers. That also makes no sense

I think having the IC/US Titles involved in matches with those same stars (Morrison/Ziggler/Sheamus) who have all been in the World Title picture recently but are now challenging for the midcard may just bring some meaning back to holding a championship. That's where WWE lacks now because we don't see any drive from anyone to go and take a title away from somebody else and make the rivalry about the championship itself. WWE just hands title matches to random people (Jerry Lawler. Come on) and they wasted the opportunity on John Morrison (lost his one opportunity to The Miz on Raw, and then dropped below Jerry Lawler on the totem pole. Again, come on). I think we all can agree it should have been Miz/Morrison for the WWE Title at Royal Rumble, and they should have stretched both Miz/Orton and Cena/Punk to WrestleMania. John Cena finishes off CM Punk and the Nexus for good on the grandest stage, and The Miz beats Randy Orton clean to get over and finish off a rivalry between the 2 most selfish competitors on Raw. It was perfect. Everybody wins.

There is no way that would not have been a good direction to go in

I think the Card looks solid so far and the final one should be fine IMO. I will be at Wrestlemania here in Atlanta so I will be satisfied with whatever we get. Miz/Cena should be good,Edge/Del Rio as well,HHH/Undertaker should be awesome,King/Cole will be fun especially if King drops Micheal Cole on his head with a Piledriver,Orton/CM Punk will be really good,Rey/Cody Rhodes will be good also,I hope Daniel Bryan vs Sheamus happens as does the 6-Person Tag with Trish. I also can't wait to see The Rock in person again.

So I have been hyped for weeks now and my friend is going with me.

I'm really divided in this year's WrestleMania card. As always it seems like they've put in a lot of time and effort to make the "main events" a big deal, and completely thrown together the rest of the card hoping it'll work. I will say, unlike the past few years, there's only 1 or 2 matches that I just don't care about. Let's assume for a second that the "rumored" matches are all completely right (I hope not), and go from there:

1.) The Corre vs. Big Show, Kane, Christian & Kofi Kingston: This match is so...dumb. I bet Wade Barrett didn't expect to go from the most dominant man in the WWE to a sloppily thrown-together undercard match at Wrestlemania. This match just screams that creative has nothing for Show, Kane, and Christian to do. And why couldn't Kingston defend his title?

2.) Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus: I'll admit, this match could be pretty cool. I love Sheamus and Bryan is second-to-none in the ring. What really worries me is that Sheamus could just walk in, dominate Bryan, and walk out. I also don't want to see Gail Kim or the Belles anywhere near that match.

3.) John Morrison, Trish Stratus, & Kelly Kelly vs. Dolph Ziggler & LayCool: I'm sorry...what? I get that it's Smackdown vs. Raw, with the culmination of the K2 and LayCool thing, but what in the world? A mixed tag match at Mania, wasting 2 of your best singles competitors? At least we can look forward to the break-up of LayCool and of course...Kelly Kelly's...everything.

4.) Randy Orton vs. CM Punk: I'm not sure why the Nexus is following Punk. They've done nothing but lose and get beaten up since Punk took over. I really like Punk and Orton working together though, so this isn't a total lost cause. Good tension between the two. In the end though, this will probably be just what you'd expect from an Orton match...

5.) Randy divas match: I'm guessing this will be Eve vs. Natalya or some variation of that. Disappointing, considering they could have used a feud between LayCool that is a year in the making.

6.) Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio: I'll admit...I'm pretty excited for this match. I really like Cody Rhodes, despite what everybody thinks of the guy. If they could get Dusty Rhodes to be a semi-permanent manager for him, he could be really good. Maybe even great. Not only could this match be good, but it could be one of the last we see from Mysterio. Maybe even the debut of Sin Cara? Whatever the case, I'd really like to see Rhodes walk out with the win here...

7.) Undertaker vs. Triple H: This match will be standard Undertaker. It will be slow. There will be two minutes of action and it will immediately slow to a dead crawl until Taker and the Game trade off high impact moves while the live crowd eats it up and the people at home are excited but quickly getting bored... HBK will probably show up infusing a little excitement into the mix.

8.) Edge vs. Alberto del Rio: I was really hoping they'd somehow throw in Dolph Zigger for a triple threat. Edge and Ziggler are great together, and Alberto is so solid in the ring the match could steal the show. I think it has the potential to do that regardless, so I'm not discrediting anything here... Everybody believes Alberto will walk out the World Champion, which probably means he won't.

9.) John Cena vs. The Miz: Miz will dominate this match and Cena will hit his final 5 moves...two or three times...who wins is anybody's call, but I'd like to see Cena take the title again, believe it or not. If you read my column that comes out this week you'll see why. The Rock will be involved somehow, so that's at least a reason to be excited for this match.

That's about it. Like I said, i'm divided on how I feel about the card, but I think there's only 1 or 2 things I'm truly disappointed with.

There is my Card and why:

1) The Core VS Big Show, Diesel & Booker T - Ok, i know NWO will not be referenced, but i think that be a good match for opening

2) Rey Mysterio VS Cody Rhodes - This could be the match that "steal" the PPV, Two talented wrestlers with big moves, can give spectacle. Now the WWE has to focus on time and not give half a dozen minute.

3) John Morrison, Eve and Trish Stratus VS Dolph Zigler & LayCool (3-Tag Womens Championship) - Ok, Dolph Morrison and deserve better, but is a perfect opportunity to be in the women's title match at Wrestlemania.

4) "United States Champion" Daniel Brian VS Sheamus (United States Championship) - Along with the Rhodes / Mysterio may be another fight that stole the show! Two talented wrestlers in the ring for a possible good match.

5) "World Champion" Edge VS Alberto Del Rio (World Championship) - After four possible good matches, here begins the wave of the "Main Events". Great fight in perspective, with one of my favorite wrestlers of all times. Alberto Del Rio

6) Jerry "The King" Lawler VS Michael Cole with Jack Swagger (Stone Cold Special Guest Referee) - A fight with great entertainment for sure. Stone Cold is here to sign show. A moment that "The King" deserved for many years and therefore I hope the return of JR to the table of comments.

7) Randy Orton VS CM Punk - Candidate for best fight of the night. It has everything to be perfect for this fight. I really hope that the Nexus does not intervene and make the fight a battle of good wrestling. Let the Hardcore Extreme Rules for the Wrestlemania worthy wrestling seriously. I hope that surprised me even more!

8) "WWE Tag Team Champions" Justin Gabriel & Heath Slater VS ??? - A tag any team that has won the Pre-Show Tag Team Batlle. Something like that. Fighting for people to get some rest and regain strength for the battles that are yet to happen.

9) Undertaker VS Triple H (No Holds Barred Streak Match) - Also a candidate for fight of the year. An epic battle! I think we all want to see this fight. I suppose there is any disappointment here, but I do not think one is better than HBK / Taker. Either way do not think that is the last fight, since Wrestlemania is around the Rock and this will be the guest referee of Miz / Cena probably!

10) "WWE Champion" The Miz VS John Cena (The Rock Special Guest Referee) - Without The Rock would be nothing but a good main event on Raw or a regular PPV, but never in Wrestlemania. The Rock can elevate this to something never seen combat. Do not fight but to help publicize the contest. I hope the Miz a win because his victory would finally lift him to the status of the WWE Main Eventer. I hope that in the end there's any kind of promo from Cena / Rock to promote them at SummerSlam.

With all this I expect a good Wrestlemania, better than I thought. With four or five fights and high-level candidates to fight of the year. I do not believe one of the best Wrestlemania ever, but a good level of Wrestlemania.

And, I'm sorry for my bad english lol

Generally speaking, as far as the rumored undercard goes, I think it looks pretty solid and could be good.

JoMo, Kelly Kelly & Trish Stratus vs. Dolph Ziggler & LayCool could honestly be a fun match to watch. JoMo & Ziggler both have the stuff in the ring as does LayCool and I'd say that Trish has gotten herself back into the swing of things and I think Kelly Kelly has legitimately improved. She's not slow or clumsy as she used to be and can pull off some nice looking athletic moves. If given some good time, this could be a fun six person tag match.

The Corre vs. Big Show, Kane, Christian & Kofi Kingston is one I'm not sure about. I'd much prefer to see Christian wind up in the middle of the WHC match with Edge & Alberto Del Rio and I have hopes that could still happen. This could be one of those fun dark horse matches that doesn't look so hot on paper but turns out well.

Rey Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes could be downright great. Should be a lot of energy and this is a feud that could elevate Cody to another level. Again, if this is given a decent amount of time, I think it could be great.

Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus could be very cool. I'm hoping for a good match out of these two for Raw this Monday. They worked a great 6 or 7 minute match a while before Sheamus started feuding with JoMo. They packed a lot of action into the match and it felt twice as long as it actually was, and I mean that in a good way.

I think a Divas title match would be a great way to debut Awesome Kong. I'd book a 4 way Divas Championship match between Eve Torres, Beth Phoenix, Natalya & Gail Kim. Give the match a good 10 minutes and give all the gals a chance to show what they've got and look good. Near the end, have all four ladies down on the canvas after a competitive match, have this unknown music hit and have Kong just walk down the ramp to the ring and just lay out all 4 women in the match.

With just a little effort and each match getting at least 8 to 10 minutes, this could be a very good WM undercard.

hey all, so this is my first post, wondering what people think about this idea :

have HHH-Taker as the last match, and have Nexus and Corre join up and destroy everything like they did at the end of that RAW when Nexus was formed. that way, the match never ends, Taker never loses, HHH doesn't retire and sets up a Feud between CM Punk & HHH on RAW and Barrett & Taker on Smackdown

Just can't see it, WM is the one PPV where run ins are frowned upon. It's regarded as the pay off event. Also, it won't say much for Randy if Punk is able to run in after their match.

I don't know about you guys, but Wrestlemania is looking pretty weak for me(maybe it's because I'm going...). No Money in the Bank, which is by far the most looked-foward-to match on the card, this Taker/HHH thing is just for the hell of it, alot of people don't really care for Cena v. Miz. The only cool stuff is stone cold, the rock, seein Cole take a beating, and the Taker/HHH match will be good, but this thing just feels rushed. And then they're gonna string some random matches together the last two weeks before the show like they do with every ppv nowadays.

It is alot weaker than previous WMs. Before, there was always one or two killer match ups, even if the rest of the card sucked. But this year, there is not one single match I'm looking forward to. And like you said, the rock and stone cold are the only thing WM 27's got going. Kinda sad how the two main eventers of WM 17 are still the only major draws 10 WM's later.

Like Jack-Hammer said, the undercard looks great. A lot of up and coming guys and established veterans are going at eachother and there's a real possibility that most if not all of them will break through. I'm even looking forward to the Morrison/Ziggler match, even though it's got the divas behind them.

The problem is that there's really no must see main event. The closest is Taker vs Trips, and we know Taker's gonna go over in that match. To a casual buyer, there really isn't anything else.

Well, okay maybe Cena vs Miz, but I'm not to sure about that.

WrestleMania_XXVII.jpg

As Wrestlemania 27 nears there are still some empty cards, being as there is only seven matches and the matches are usually between 8 - 10. Of course there is a lot of matches that could be used to fill up the last empty slots. Many possibilities that could be better then some of the current matches scheduled.

The matches I would like to see fill the card:

1. United States Championship match between Daniel Bryan and Sheamus.

2. Intercontinental Championship match between Kofi Kingston and Christian (If he is not involved in the WHC match in anyway)

3. Money In The Bank match consisting of anyone available

So my question:

What matches would you like to see fill the card and why?

As the road to WrestleMania draws closer and closer these matches will be revealed in due time. Wether they add one, two, or even three more matches to the card we know this card will average to between eight or ten match ups on the air. For me and I cannot stress this enough, I believe that both the mid-card belts should be up for grabs at Mania. Since I'm sure they do not plan on doing a Money In The Bank match this year, it frees up the mid-card talent for this to be able to happen anyway.

What I do not want to see happen is if Christian is not inserted into the World title picture at Mania for him just to team up with Big Show and friends at WrestleMania, the same goes for Kofi Kingston (you know the current IC Champion). So if Christian is not inserted to the SmackDown main event than instead of throwing him away on Team Show have him win a Battle Royal or some shit to challenge Kofi for his title at Mania. On the other hand if Christian is going to join in on the Edge-Del Rio saga than have Kofi defend his title against Drew McIntyre since he needs something to do as well.

Also The US title actually has a feud going for it right now between the new champion Sheamus and the former champ: Daniel Bryan. They can actually contribute the next two weeks to help build up their rematch for the title. These two put on the best match RAW had this week and it was just your simple little television match and it was good. Could you imagine if they got the time to put on a pay-per-view quality match to kick off Mania? They would tear the house down, WWE would be wasting a good feud and two great talents if they keep these two work horses off of Mania.

Which in the end leaves Big Show and Kane reuniting to take on Wade Barrett and Big Zeke. Gabriel and Slater being in the corner for their Corre stablemates unless WWE would like them to defend their titles but at this point it seems as unlikely as MITB. So keep them at ringside managers for The Corre's competing representatives.

In the end this is the way the Mania card should fill out and if by any slight chance it does, than we are in for hell of a treat during the under-card of the show.

Sorry if this has been started somewhere else, I couldn't find it though...With Wrestlemania just around the corner....There are still a whose who of superstars left off the card...Assuming Daniel Bryan v. Sheamus gets booked...lets look at those who are still TBD....

Christian
Kane
Big Show
Wade Barrett
Drew McIntyre
Kofi Kingston
Ted DiBiase
Evan Bourne
Mark Henry
R-Truth

Where do you see these guys fitting? There's talks of the Corre v. Big Show, Kofi, Christain and Kane....but that seems dumb considering Kane & the Corre worked together at one point....Christian could be thrown in the World title match as a triple Threat...but that still leaves several bigger names...I honestly think the MITB should be at Mania only and not have its own pay per view...Where do you guys think these dudes will fit in....

well with 7 matches already confirmed for WrestleMania, and there will definitely NOT be a MITB match this year, here is what WWE could do to replace MITB and still fit in their mid-carders on the biggest stage of them all...

6-Man Ladder Match for BOTH the US & IC Titles:
Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan vs Evan Bourne vs Kingston vs Christian vs McIntyre
(this match would be the best way to replace MITB, and it would give prestige back to both titles if there both defended in a Single Ladder Match, and this match would be awesome IMO)

The Corre vs. Big Show, Kane & Diesel in a Handicap Tag Match
(give Diesel one more WrestleMania moment, and this match wouldn't be too bad IMO.

those are 2 matches I would book to round out the card for WrestleMania.

9 matches is good enough for a 4 hour event and give them a good amount of time and they can all deliver.

R-Truth, Mark Henry and Ted DiBiase would probably end up in the pre-show battle royal, because there is NOTHING for them to do at WrestleMania.

if Christian gets added to the WHC match (which is unlikely), then I would replace Christian with either R-Truth or Ted DiBiase in that 6-Man Ladder Match.

The final matches to fill up the card imo should be the following:

The Corre (Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson, Heath Slater, and Justin Gabriel) vs Big Show, Kane, Kofi Kingston, and Diesel.
^ Big Show/Kane/Corre rivalry is getting heated and The Corre keep ending every encounter with a DQ. i can see Big Show and Kane forming a team next week to take them all on at WM.

Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan for the US Title in a submission match. Yes you heard it, their last encounter should be something special. A submission match would be perfect and Sheamus is cocky enough to accept such a challenge if DB laid it out. The match would be action packed and would be a perfect opener for the grandest event of all.

the matches that are already confirmed are all being built properly, but they need at least 2 more matches to make it complete....i understand they are building these matches so they get time, but thats why Mania is like 4 hours as it is...Im sure Taker and Triple H will get at least 30 minutes...Miz and Cena like 20, Alberto and Edge the same...Rey and Cody should get like 15....I think the 2 matches should go:

Money in the Bank-
Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan vs Kofi Kingston vs Christian vs Mark Henry vs Evan Bourne vs Drew McIntyre vs R-Truth
(I personally think they tested Christian this past Friday in the main event to see how he did...if he passed I think Christian could win, or either Kofi or Sheamus)

4 vs 4-
The Corre vs Kane, Big Show, Booker T, Diesel (legends)

Booker has history with all these guys and so does Diesel...I also dont see Booker calling Mania at all.......they'll most likely have JR come back

Well Sheamus vs Bryan for the US title is now official for WM. Should be fun match that imo should open up the show because imo DB matches are so intense and well done that they get the crowd going and sets the stage for the rest of the show.

Now the last two matches that need to be announced are the following:

The Corre vs Big Show, Kane, Santino, and Kozlov- After what happened on RAW, this seems to be the most logical booking. This feud is probably one of the hottest midcard feuds right now and has gotten brutal. A feud this intense has to be settled on the biggest stage of all. If it's booked I will be pumped and it would make for a perfect second match on the card.

Kofi Kingston vs Drew Mcintyre for IC Title- Kofi is one of the most over faces right now and has no WM plans. He's also is being heavily advertised in the upcoming WWE Allstars game so I doubt WWE would want to miss out on giving him exposure at such a big event. Drew still gets heat and has no plans. Let's make it a official. A much needed rematch between these two and on the biggest stage of all. I know they would only get five or ten minutes but knwoing these two they would make it work. Book it!

I know it was only about 10 hours ago BUT Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan hasn't been added to the Wrestlemania website yet.

It just makes me wonder if there is something going to develop on Smackdown with Kofi Kingston and the IC Belt. I mean we saw Bryan vs Sheamus 2 weeks ago on Raw, do we really want to pay for the privelige to see it again so soon? I think Sheamus vs Bryan vs Kofi for a Unified IC/US Belt would be satisfying....1 that the Champion has to appear and defend on both shows.

I cant believe (well suppose I can) that the IC Belt will be left off Mania given that the US Title is up for grabs now. With the rumoured Corre vs Big Show/Kane and the Divas Title yet to be announced, that will take us up to around 10 match ups. Not since Wrestlemania 22 have we had over 10 bouts.

I was also looking at people with nothing to do on April 3rd. Probably be a pre match Battle Royal take place!!!

man Mania is looking much better than last year, even without MITB....I'm just wondering what will happen to Kofi? we got Miz vs Cena with a possible Rock involvement...we got ADR vs Edge vs Christian now it seems..Undertaker vs Triple H....Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan....Cole with Swagger vs Lawler....Snooki match....Orton vs Punk...Mysterio vs Cody....most likely Corre vs Kane, Show, Santino and Kozlov...the only possibility for Kofi is to face McIntyre for the IC title....they have chemistry so maybe they can build up for the last two weeks by having Kofi hang out with Kelly, and then McIntyre gets jealous...I dunno but this is the second year in a row where Kofi has barely made it onto the card...even last year with a freakin 10 man MITB, he barely made it on...Kofis got some trouble in paradise backstage lol

I'm worried about how Kofi is going to get into this show as well, darbare, but it's not going to be with Drew McIntyre. Drew gets zero crowd reaction, and that type of person has no place on a Wrestlemania card. Kofi, on the other hand, still draws a good reaction and gets the crowd very involved in his matches. I don't see anyone on Smackdown he can have a match with, but perhaps they can have a RAW vs. Smackdown match between he and Evan Bourne, who is also quite popular right now. The only trouble is that it's a little late in the game to start building a feud.

If nothing else, count on Kofi winning the pre-show Battle Royal that they have like, every year.

well with 8 matches officially announced for WrestleMania 27, according to the official WM site, I can expect 2-3 more matches being added on SmackDown this week and on the FINAL RAW before WM.

The Corre vs. Big Show, Kane, Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov
(this match makes more sense than Kofi and Christian being in it (via the rumored card) and this should be a great match and I hope Corre wins tho)

Intercontinental Championship:
Kofi Kingston vs. ???
(what I would do is have a pre-show Battle Royal on WWE.com, and the winner faces Kofi later in the evening for the IC Title at WrestleMania, just like they did at WM 24 when Kane won the pre-show Battle Royal to face Chavo for the ECW Title, and I would have Evan Bourne win the battle royal so we can see a great exciting match between two awesome high-flyers)

those two matches would be great additions to an already great WM card!

If I was to book this wrestlemania:

Miz v Morrison for the WWE Title: I would of had Morrison win Elimination Chamber
Cena v Rock: Again, have the rock cost Cena the Elimination Chamber
Alberto Del Rio v Edge v Christian for World Heavyweight Championship: nuff said
Dolph Ziggler v Daniel Bryan v Evan Bourne v Zack Ryder v Tyson Kidd v R-Truth v Cody Rhodes v Ted DiBiase in a MITB Ladder Match: Really start to prepare for the era without cena, edge, undertaker, HHH, etc by getting thee fresh superstars in the mix
Undertaker v HHH Career Match: Put both HHH and Undertakers career on the line
Snooki, Kelly Kelly and Trish Stratus v Laycool and Vickie Guerrero: Same reason Snooki is on the current card - publicity
Big Show and Kane v Ezekial Jackson and Wade Barrett for Number 1 Contender for the Tag Team Titles
Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel v Vladmir Koslov and Santino Marella for the Tag Team Titles
Seamus v Jack Swagger for the US Title
Micheal Cole v Jerry "The King" Lawler

I know it is a big card with 10 matches, possibly make the US Title Match a "DVD Only" undercard match, the Snooki Match and the commentators match wouldn't be that long

You know as much as I am happy Christian might be in the WHC match, I can't help but think that this is a missed opportunity for a classic IC Title match. Kofi vs Drew would be good, but a Kofi vs Christian match for the IC Title would be even better and imo has show stealer written all over it. Both are very athletic and would put on an exciting near fall/back and forth match. i mean check this WM 27 midcard booking:

US Title- Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan
Rey Mysterio vs Cody Rhodes
IC Title- Kofi Kingston vs Christian
The Corre vs Big Show, Kane, Santino, and Kozlov

You can't tell me that doesn't sound like an amazing booked WM 27 midcard. All are WM worthy and would be show stealers imo.

I always want to watch Wrestlemania. It's THE big wrestling show every year, and you just know WWE is going to give you the best of the best at Wrestlemania, but when it comes to Mania 27, I'm not too excited to see this show. I just don't think this show has that epic feel that Mania usually has.

I'm a huge mark for Triple H, and seeing him go one on one with The Undertaker in a streak match sounds like a real treat, but I feel like I have to force myself to get excited for this one. The Mania 17 match between these two was great, but there's a slim chance both men will be able to pull off another classic again. Taker and HHH are getting up there in age, and they have been hobbled by injuries over the years. Then there's the situation with The Rock and Cena. I almost thought we might see a one on one match with these two, but it's not going to happen at Mania.

Although, Miz facing off against Cena for the WWE Championship is very intriguing. I never thought Miz would make it to Wrestlemania as the WWE Champion, so I was kind of surprised to see him hold on to the strap for so long. Miz is going against WWE's #1 guy, so it'll be interesting to see how he handles himself during this very high profiled match. Alberto Del Rio is another rising star who has me curious. Del Rio winning the Rumble was a complete shock, because I'm sure nobody saw it coming. I've enjoyed Del Rio's heel run, and I hope he can win the gold from Edge at Wrestlemania. Smackdown needs another top guy, and Del Rio is a very good choice.

I am kind of bummed out by the stuff with Cena and Rock, and I'm not foaming at the mouth for Taker VS Triple H, but I don't think Wrestlemania 27 will be a bad show. I wanted to see Cena VS Rock at Mania, but I'll still be glad to see The Rock. He's been gone for so long, and he is as sharp as ever, and I know he won't disappoint as the host of Wrestlemania. The young guys are going to get a chance to shine next Sunday, and I do think it's a good thing. Taker and HHH aren't going to be around forever, and Stone Cold and The Rock have hung up their boots. Sure, they might make an appearance every now and then, but they won't be around on a regular basis, so WWE needs to see what the future is made of.
