Excuse me, I'm not trying to talk out of line or anything here but if you didn't want any bitching or whining then why did you even make this thread criticizing the mods? That one just confused me? Was it an attempt at getting to your foes under the guise of constructive criticism? Just wondering because generally when someone takes it upon themselves to criticize a body of people their not looking for a positive response, nor should they expect one. Did you think the people you were criticizing were going to say "Oh well thanks for letting us know we suck and fall below your standards, would you like to lead our brigade?"

Again, not trying to talk out of line but what did you expect? You were going to have to name names, you can't be that vague and expect people to just go "Oh that's cool, according to you any or all of us are shit. No need to maybe find out who you might be talking about." that doesn't raise curiosity or anything. So the subtle bitch slap doesn't always come across as subtle is the moral of the story.

I also never said I didn't expect bitching, whining or complaining. I actually was counting on it. Drama creates Conversation. Also something this forum can't survive without, it seems.

Actually.. for the record, NorCal is someone I'd consider a friend. Hardly 'foe' worthy. And the true hilarity of this is, of all the Staff members.. Klunder would be the one I'd consider 'foe worthy' the most. And he's the one I dis-included solely. Wanna take a shot in the dark on why I did that?

I did point out who I was talking about. I merely did it in a way that if you truly wanted to know, you'd have to do the investigating yourself. Quit being a lazy little fucker.

Didn't this all come out during the fallout of IC25's resignation? That Sly wasn't as concerned with "creating discussion" as he was keeping things running smoothly and keeping on top of infractions/warning? I could've sworn I read a similar argument not too long ago.

Regardless, I think this is less of a discussion on whether staff members are doing their work and more about what are the priorities of the staff in general. I understand that you were on staff in the past, and that as such you have some insight that most of us normals lack, but I also am under the belief that your time on staff was a different time for the forums than it is now. Perhaps what you are hoping for/seeking instead of this discussion is one about the priorities of staff and the examples they should set, and how.

lol No, FalKon. I'm just creating a thread that has clearly gotten conversation. I've logged in for the past 3 days and NO ONE is talking about anything interesting.

Now, don't get me wrong, I was serious 100% in everything I said. A few mods haven't posted in the non-spam sections in weeks, and even longer. Thats beyond pathetic to me, considering they're viewed in such high regard.

But all in all, it was something that on any other normal day I would've merely overlooked and couldn't of cared less about. I purely made this thread, because I was tired of the lame ass "make stupid jokes" threads. And even dumber "*insert sex/racial/sexist remark here*" threads. This place got boring and in a hurry.

One last thing though.. I will say I never claimed to be better than anyone. I think a few people mistook my opening post for me claiming to be better. If I was better, then don't you think I'd still be on Staff?

I left personally because I got tired of it, and didn't have time for it. But to a degree, I haven't talked wrestling nearly as much neither - because its dried up to me. I'll have spurts, but we went over this once before as well. And as for any type of return, be it anyone else or myself.. NO. Hell no. The Staff likely would never want me back. And I would never want to be back.

Its a rhetorical question, because there is no logical or correct. I'm assuming because it gets so much heavy traffic, that you feel it doesn't deserve a Staff member's attention in posting - because all the new-comers do it enough.

Well, thats fair enough - except for the fact that leads back to why you're a Staff member. (lead by example.) If the Staff members don't post, why are they even apart of the forum, let alone on Staff?

There's a difference between 'driving discussion' and posting. Posting I do when I want to, and I certainly don't need to clarify that to you.

Conversely, there are a lot of people around here that are held in a high regard and aren't mods or former mods etc.

I like to believe that, at the end of the day, the best people for the jobs are in place.

Uhm, Doc, I was still ON Staff when Irish took over.

And Klunder was pretty much given his spot because everyone loved him. Hell, KB didn't even WANT a mod spot - he was practically forced into taking it.

I personally pushed for NorCal to get his spot when Justin went all ape-shit. And back then, NorCal was about as 'green' and 'raw' as I was when I got my spot.

I also never put the words "Will, I think you deserve this spot" in the form of anything Jake said. Jake said a spot was open, and because I told him about a week prior I was interested in how to become a mod - he PM'ed me and said a spot was open and he remembered I wanted it.

Nothing was said about me "deserving" the spot. But I will lean toward believing I earned it once I had it. Like NorCal and KB have also done.

This is something where it seems you wanna find wrong answers to anything I say. And its just not happening.
