WWE RAW LD 7/25/2011 - The King is Dead, Long Live the King

I'm not disputing it? I said I'll watch for myself first, I'm reporting what I'm hearing from others. I believe Cena could have gotten a bigger pop, no doubt. I'm just also aware of your Cena bias is all. We'll see.

and downplaying anything CM Punk does, dont forget that

I didnt even see the show, but obviously 5 thousand grown male voices would be louder than 2 thousand males, 4 thousand kids, 1 thousand females.

Okay, well I guess no matter what there will always be a reason for people out popping Cena and it won't ever be because someone is more popular. Every single time it's going to be this.

Everybody's falling into Sly's trap again. Do you people ever learn?

:lmao:

Clearly not. Punk fans are more fun than Mr. Kennedy fans were. I remember when Mr. Kennedy was an IWC darling, and I used to badger them. Of course, Punk is a lot better than Kennedy has ever been, so I'll at least give Punk fans that. But they are so touchy.

in scenarios like Punk - Cena, yea, it pretty much is. Grown males are gonna be louder and more passionate, thusly sounding louder, than assorted kids, femals, and parents who brought their kids.

Nothing wrong with it. Just saying when a person says Punks pop was louder, well yea it was.

Shut the fuck up. It's not a fucking trap, he sincerely believes it and can (unfortunately for most) back it all up. This isn't ''trollolololol har har gotcha'' shit. Sit down.

He just started doing this like 3 weeks ago. He comes into the LD after Raw, says something somewhat negative about Punk, and everyone loses their shit. If you're not capable of seeing a pattern here, then why don't you shut the the fuck up, son.

Why isn't Ryder getting just as big pops then, are any ''IWC darlings'' for that matter? If that was true than guys like Kaval would have gotten major pops no? Daniel Bryan gets good ovations but not like Punk has been getting, yet they're of similar background. Why aren't the IWC and indy fans as loud for him?

No one is losing their shit, it's called fucking discussion. As in ''Live Discussions'', the name of the fucking section and the whole reason the forum exists. I guess though anytime someone responds to Sly or anyone else for that matter it's just ''falling into the trap''.

Having just rewatched the segment, when they raise the titles Punk's pop is clearly louder. Cena gets a decent one but you also here alot of boos. If you take out the booing, it wouldn't be all that impressive. Punk's you hear all cheering, clearly from the guys

Errr, becuase CM Punk is fucking awesome, while Ryder and Kaval arent?

Punk has a fuck ton more main stream exposure as well, of course more people will know him, or get behind the best in the world schtick

Sorry if I missed someone else posting this, but wasn't Cult Of Personality used as the promo song for Stone Cold's Hall of Fame induction? First the shirt, now the song!

Just watch the video. You don't even have to listen to it (although you can if you want). Audio seems to have a slight lag.

Cena clearly had FAR more support than Punk. Start at 1:25.

I will say this though, the size of the pops may vary from city to city but Punk is getting an almost 100% face reaction now.

So it's impossible for someone so awesome to be getting better, bigger fan responses than the companies poster boy? Cena has been getting mixed reactions for a long time now. Sometimes really noticeable, sometimes only a few scattered boos. But it's there. Why is it so hard to believe that if not already, it can very well come to be that someone else will be getting bigger pops across the board and not just from a certain cross section?

Didnt say he wasnt. Just given a plausible and likely reason the people told you what they told you. Punks probably did sound louder. For the reasons I stated.
