WWE RAW LD 2/28/2011 - Game Start

He accomplished everything there was to do in wrestling in a very short amount of time. I don't fault him for leaving. Of course I've wanted to see him back and wish he'd never left but I don't hate the man like some of you people do. I respect and understand his decision.

Look at Austin...he was only really on top for about 4 years before he retired and now makes an appearance every year or two? But Rock is a much bigger celebrity than Austin so he can't come back quite as often.
Actually, both are busy acting now, and both are similarly busy. Rocks movies are higher-budget, more mainstream, while Austin is doing more straight to DVD type acting. But you proved my point. Austin is gone, but he still makes appearances because he still loves the fans, even though he has moved on.

I'm happy that the Rock's return is something as big as hosting WM, that's not "fanboyism", that's appreciating one of the all time greats for coming back and being a fan of his just as I've always been. I don't just throw him away because he leaves..guys leave the business, it's the way it goes. But him coming back now and in such a big capacity, plus addressing Cena and having them interact like we've all been dreaming of for years says alot to me.
Actually, it says (to steal from The Rock) "FINALLY...... THE VINCE.... HAS CONVINCED THE ROCK (with enough money) TO SHOW IS FUCKING FACE TO THE VERY PEOPLE HE CLAIMS TO LOVE!"

I'm glad he's back. I just realize that he doesn't love the business like he claims on the air to do. He loves the success he's gotten because of it. He loved the business, he loved the people.

D- RAW for me it was terrible only good things was Rocks promo, Cena/Riley and the advancement of storylines. MEH THIS SHOW SUCKED. Big hopes for next week as we might get the in ring promo Rock/Cena but at least we have Austin for sure which is always a plus.

Look, I'm the first person to say good for the Rock on his career choice. I don't blame him one little bit. I also think he probably is thankful for all that WWE did for him. That said, I reserve the right to think that promo was weak shit, especially compared to Cena's. The thing that pissed me off the most was that he says John Cena was in the wrong for dissing The Rock when The Rock was the one who started it by dissing Cena.

Dude, what are you talking about? CENA started this shit IN REAL LIFE several years ago when he criticized The Rock several times in interviews and online around the time he was inducting his father and grandfather into the Hall of Fame.

Did you seriously not know that?

Actually, his not ever making sporadic appearances over the past 7 years says more then talking about what his family did and his past. He loveD the fans, then loved Hollywood more (again, I don't blame him). He then shows up and expects fans to love him more then people who are giving everything they have for the business while he left early to go do something he liked more.

Except, they DO love him just as much as ever, which is why he's made Cena look bush league in comparison over the last few weeks and why Raw and Smackdown are popping huge ratings just at the mere possibility of Rock showing up, ratings that put those Cena has brought in over the last 7 years to shame.

Sadly you're letting your Rock fanboyism get in the way of fucking reality.

No, it's more like you are letting your inner wrestling mark get in the way of being an objective adult, and you're reverting to being a giant Cena mark, despite the fact that nothing The Rock has said so far has really been unreasonable or out of line.

Stormtrooper, stop being a bitch.

In fact, this thread makes me sick. I wish I could red rep the lot of you. The man wanted a break. He wanted to do other things. Doesn't mean he doesn't love the business. He never has owed you shit. Grow up.
