WWE RAW LD 2/20/2012 - He Has Risen

When Taker/HHH III was in its beginning stage, no one here wanted to see it...begged for it not to happen. Now we all want to see it...saying it could be the match of the night. lol. Funny how that happens.

Well come on, who would have expected Hell in a Fucking Cell?!? At Wrestlemania in an outdoor stadium?

Cena's not the right man. I don't think his character is the right one to do it. Cena is shallow. He could never appreciate the gravitas of what he was about to do. I suppose there's a story to be made there, but it turns the Undertaker into a supporting piece, which isn't appropriate. Triple H knows full well what's he doing, which is precisely why he doesn't want to.

Kane, maybe I could buy Kane, but what does the story boil down to? A young brother twisted with rage determined to finally rise above his elder? For one, he's already tried and failed, and for two, the story's been done and redone to death. The Undertaker's story, again, is bigger.

It's one warrior asking for the only death he can accept. Shawn could have done it, but he was blinded by the pursuit of glory. Triple H is the only one left.

Cena is (arguably) being built by McMahon to be bigger than Hogan. Why wouldn't Cena beat Taker to show that nobody is bigger than the industry (Taker wants the streak to end before he retires from what I understand)

And btw, Wrestlemania 14 was Taker v. Kane

Cena will never be bigger than Hogan, simply because of the era differences. People don't look at pro wrestling the same anymore.

I'm so crossed on who to root for Cena/Rock. Cena holds very good points, but Rock is a native to Miami, and I'm not a fan of Cena.

Oh well, go CM Punk!

Did you even read what I wrote? Cena facing and losing to Undertaker in a different time would have been fine. Cena ending the streak would be abysmal, for the reasons I've already stated. I understand your point about Cena going over Taker from a business standpoint, but that isn't what I'm discussing.

Yes. I'm aware.

Rocky ***** are gonna deny it, but promos like this are exactly why Cena has always hosed Rock on the stick during their beef. Rocky coming back has only made me dislike him more.
