WWE RAW 4/4/2011 & Hall of Fame LD - You Can Hate Him Now

Not to mention the fact that this feud;

a) has less depth for build than almost every other program. It's a once in a lifetime dream match, but you can only say that so many times. Other than simply saying how big a match it is going to be you have little to nothing to build the program around for all that time.

b) any attempt to add depth to the program is going to make the eventual payoff less interesting and dramatic.

We have a once in a lifetime dream match and it needs to be sold as that, but you can't sell that for whole year.

We already had Cena vs. Barrett for 6 whole months last summer... why would we want that again so soon?

Barrett mentioned a higher purpose, he needs something to do right now (be more than IC champion) and also, what is Cena going to do for the next year? Constantly train for The Rock? They need to find something for him to do and this could've been it.

Fuck you Christina, you couldn't do a roll either.

I'm rooting for guy who can work the crowd, the guy with the mop head.

My god I have been training as a wrestler for over a month and I can do what these kids can do maybe even better

Well, if it were up to me, I'd turn Danielson heel and boom... there's the feud for Cena throughout the summer.

However, since that's highly unlikely... there are still plenty of things Cena could do. Alberto Del Rio for example could be moved to Raw and he and Cena could have a long program. CM Punk and Cena still haven't had a proper feud yet if you ask me. You also have potential up-and-comers to feud with Cena in Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes.

All those options are better than another Barrett/Cena feud, man.

The other problem of course is that suddenly every single match Cena has for the next twelve months becomes about him and Rock. This would suggest that he needs to be kept permanently strong for the entire year. That's going to make building compelling programs a little tricky.

Also even if he loses every match or he has the worst year of his life, that's set in stone.

so unbeliveably stupid, this shit on this show. Why oh why cant an individual like myself get this chance

You haven't tried just finding out where they film, walking into the studio they're filiming at... with a jukebox with The Rougeau Brothers theme in the background? Then telling them, "DAMMIT! I'M NORCAL! PUMP IRON BITCH! *slaps Hugh Morrus*.

Not necessarily.

Cena's not the Money in the Bank winner here. He doesn't need to go six months proving that he deserves to be in the same ring as the World Champion (or in this case, The Rock). Losses and wins won't mean anything this year with Cena.

If anything, it'll just give more drama to Cena's feuds, since whenever he's in a serious situation and a heel tries to severely hurt him, you can always add that, "Oh my God, with this injury Cena might not be able to make it to Wrestlemania and everyone's dream match is no more," giving instant fucking heat to Cena's opponent.

I don't know what some people are saying about fans complaining about feuds being rushed. Being around WZ forums for a couple of years now, some of the biggest criticism the WWE gets is having programs drag on for too long thus becoming boring and stale. (And in retrospect, TNA gets criticism for rushing and flip flopping programs thus making things look illogical) Cena vs Barret or Randy Orton vs HHH out of the top of my head are good examples

I said before I can't really see the WWE dragging on Rock vs Cena feud for one whole year, and I still can't. So I guess The Rock goes bye bye for 8 months and makes a return around Wrestlemania season again. I can already see the future and some of the heat Wrestlemania 28 will get "Worst Wrestlemania of all time? The Rock putting Cena over in the fashion that he did was insanely predictable" (lol). Nah, but this is going to be pretty special. Going to be enjoying this chapter of Cena's ever so controversial, but entertaining, wwe career
