WWE Hall Of Fame Discussion **KEEP IT IN HERE**

This is my first time commenting on a post. Just signed up after years of reading these forums.

Speaking on the Hall of Fame, I'm quite bothered to read that Tammy Sytch is being considered, once again passing over Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. The next female deserving of the honor is by far Elizabeth. She was a major part of the WWE in the 80's an early 90's. Wrestlemania 5 was built around which wrestler she would support in the main event. SummerSlam 88 was built around her being the secret weapon and stripping her skirt. The best moment of Wrestlemania 7 was her jumping out of the crowd and saving Savage from Sherri. Let's not forget the Match Made in Heaven to follow at SummerSlam 91. I can go on and on proving her worth in this business and how she had every fan hanging on her every word whenever she was given the mic. She was huge part of so many special moments (the ones that give you goosebumps). Whether her family will attend and accept is a whole other story, but wouldn't it be another special moment if Hulk Hogan was there to induct both Elizabeth and Randay Savage and while on stage have one last Mega Powers handshake. The first couple of the WWE is my pick for Hall of Fame.

With this being the tenth anniversary of the end of The Monday Night Wars, along with the fact that WrestleMania is being held in Atlanta - the former home of World Championship Wrestling (WCW), it would be a good idea for this year's Hall of Fame ceremony being WCW-themed. However, I see several things:

1) With the end of the Monday Night Wars, we had the (IMO) horrible Invasion storyline, with pretty much everyone WCW-related being pissed on/seen as second-rate. With Shawn Michaels being the "headliner" attraction to this year's HOF ceremony, along with the now second announced "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan being inducted, do you think that Vince McMahon can/would stick it to the WCW fans and keep their idols/heroes out, especially given the fact that WM is in Atlanta?

2) What about the Crockett family? They were pretty much Vince's main competition in the mid-to-late 80's (with the NWA)? Should they be inducted? If Verne Gagne can (former owner of the AWA), then why not them? I myself liked The Rise & Fall of WCW DVD, even if it was lacking in some/several areas.

3) It was also ten years ago that the original Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW) folded. Do you see any of the ECW originals being up for nomination or having a shot at making the HOF?

My HOF inductions with HBK and Duggan
1. Abdullah The Butcher - this Guy is a true hardcore legend hes been wrestling for ages
2. Jake The Snake Roberts - father of The DDT , entertaining and if they can induct Koko B Ware Why Not Jake?
3. Rick Rude - one of the greatest midcarders in the WWE of all time
4. Demolition - has the longest combined reigns (not the most) for the world tag team championships
5. The Rock
6. Trish Stratus
7. Lex Lugger

I feel that Ron Simmons, Vader, and The Steiner brothers are most deserving of the WCW wrestlers.

Obviously the Rock will not be inducted this year, but if stone Cold has already been inducted then the Rock should be inducted real soon.

Scott Hall and Kevin Nash would make good hall of famers I suppose.

Randy Savage and The Ultimate Warrior definitely deserve to be inducted. In fact, Savage and Warrior deserve it more than any of the other wrestlers that I mentioned. The guys are classic wrestlers who were two of the biggest stars of their time.

Jake the Snake Roberts cannot be forgotten either. He may not have won any titles in the WWE but he was still a big star and he created the DDT.

What about "Ravishing" Rick Rude?

He is definitely deserving. He was never World Champion in WCW or WWE, but it was rumored he was about to return to the ring and get his World Title in WCW, but sadly he passed away.

If guys like Koko B. Ware and Hacksaw Jim Duggan get in, to me, Rick Rude EASILY does. Before Vince bought WCW, Rick Rude was the only man to ever appear on RAW & Nitro in the same night. Plus, he was on ECW TV that same weekend. Who the Hell can say they did that? No one will ever have the chance to duplicate that. EVER!!

He won multiple Titles and is absolutely an All Time Great and undoubtedly a Legend. He had ties to the NWO and The ORIGINAL Degeneration X. This would definitely be great and there isn't many that are more deserving.

He should get in simply because he won the Jesse "The Body" Award.

before i start i looked everywhere i couldn't find a thread with this topic. I was thinking about thi for a few days now and i feel these superstars should be in the HOF.

First off, there are several threads about this already!! So, why start another one???

Anyhow, Arn Anderson, LOD, Demolition, Owen Hart, these all need to go into the HOF. Their careers were exceptional. I will say this now, next year The Rock will go in to the HOF. Wrestlemania will be in Miami!!

I just want to get a few things out of the way:

A.) Aren't the Road Warriors being inducted into the Hall this year?

B.) Owen Hart, unfortunately, will probably never be inducted because his wife is still extremely bitter about all the stuff that's happened in the past, and rightfully so.

C.) Chris Benoit is another name that deserves to be inducted, but unfortunately probably never will.

D.) Sting, undoubtedly deserves to go in, but never will until after he's retired and/or signs with the WWE.

Now onto my nominations:

Jake "The Snake" Roberts. No brainer here. The term "mind games" was coined because of this man. One of the best promo men of all time. Never won any titles in the WWE, but that doesn't really matter. His feuds with The Undertaker, Randy Savage, Ted DiBiase, Rick Martel and Rick Rude stand for themselves.

Arn Anderson. "The Enforcer." Original member of the 4 Horseman, WCW and WWF Tag Team champion and WCW Television champion, multiple NWA championships. I don't care who your favorites are, this guy made the Spinebuster famous. Apparently he does tremendous work as a WWE road agent.

Have I just missed it or have no other announcements been made on RAW or Smackdown concerning this years HoF Class? I know HBK was announced about a month or so ago but for the life of me I can't remember if any others have been officially announced on WWE TV. I hear rumors of Sunny, Bob Armstrong, Ron Simmons, The Road Warriors but I don't remember seeing anything on RAW or Smackdown.

Jim Duggan was announced on the Monday after EC. "Bullet" Bob Armstrong was announced last week, but only on the website.

about Owen Hart and WWE Hall Of Fame I'm just interested in what Bruce and Brett think They are his family, his brothers, his blood and flesh They known him all his life and I think they know what Owen will wants more than his wife

As announced on RAW last night, Sunny (Tammy Lynn Sytch) will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year along with Shawn Michaels, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and Bullet Bob Armstrong.

Upon hearing this, I immediately thought of Shawn's "Sunny Days" comment.

I remembering reading about the incident in both Bret's book and in Shawn's book as well, but this sums it up.

According to wikipedia, "Sytch had a nine month relationship with Shawn Michaels. In 1997, Michaels accused Sytch and Bret Hart of having an affair, which Hart denied. The accusation began causing marital problems for Hart, which led to a backstage confrontation with Michaels. Sytch was friends with Hart and would entertain his children whenever they followed him on tour."

I've read that this is all water under the bridge, but I'm still wondering if this will cause any drama during Wrestlemania weekend. I know that Sunny has done some shoot videos and has been brutally honest in the past.

Your thoughts?

I just found it a little strange that Shawn and Sunny are inducted into the HOF in the same year.

I don't mind having Sunny in the Hall of fame since she was the first diva (before sable) and was a successfull manager. However, I feel that if she is in then people like Scott Hall, Jake Roberts, and Kevin Nash deserve to be in too. I mean it seems that just because you have drug issues (which is why she was released) that you can still get in the hall of fame.

But to be honest just the thought of the kliq together in the same hall of fame sounds great! Nash, hall, HBK, HHH ruled the wrestling business in the 90's for both WCW and WWF.

Sunny's contribution to the business is nothing in comparison. I would go further and say I would have thought that Trish Stratus deserves to be in there more than she does.

Sunny was known far and wide to have a drug problem and slept with a number of guys in the wrestling business.. so to think who she did and did not sleep with is hard to tell. (and who really cares really??) I do think its wrong of HBK to say something like that if it wasn't true.. if it caused someones family to seperate or cause drama. You can never tell what is truth or false when it comes to HBK and hart because they hated each other so much back then they would say and do anything. But I don't think this would cause any issues this year at the hall of fame.

I doubt Shawn will care since he is a changed man and is a lot more mature. Shawn is so much different from back in the day. However I am interested to see the other HOF and want to see Kevin Nash get in.

Glad to see Sunny getting some recognition. I was a little young to appreciate her during her career, but that doesn't mean I still don't look back and see that she was ridiculously hot. She's a big part of WWE history, and she deserves the honor.

I don't think the issue with Bret Hart or Shawn Michaels will cause any problems. Both Bret and Shawn are married now and Sunny has moved way on with her life. I can't imagine any of them look back at the incident and see it as anything more than a small bump in the road.

Have no problem with it. Sunny has really cleaned up her life since she had those problems (not to mention falling apart after Chris's death). Her new hubby seems to really got her back on the right track.

Glad to see her get the recognition she deserves and I think this will open the door for the other divas to be put in as well and maybe others who have that stain on them.

And I'm sure if all three got together with their significant others...they'd have a laugh about it. Just young kids being young kids and part of life on the road.

I have loved Sunny ever since her debut with WWE 15 years ago. She was the sexy version of Miss Elizabeth in the 90s. She managed many great champions and tag teams in the WWE. I've read the rumors about her by Bret Hart, Triple H, and Shawn Michaels. I have no idea who she had an affair with since she was married to wrestler Chris Candido, who briefly worked with WWE and ECW.

She probably fooled around with a lot of the guys back then, but its not like they were saints either. Sunny can finally put all of those nasty wrestling porno tapes with Missy Hyatt behind her now. Cheers!

Sunny deserves to be in the HOF as she paved the way for all the upcoming divas. Plus she was smart enough to stay out of the ring. I do not think Shawn or Brett will care that she got in as she put her work in to get there. I do wonder who in the world she will have induct her I would love to see it be Missy Hyatt.

I liked Sunny and I think she deserves to be there. That being said, I think if she deserves to be in why doesn't Miss Elizabeth deserve to be in there ? She was one of the first women to be a manager and yet she hasn't been inducted yet. What about Randy Savage ? How the hell can he be denied ? I mean the Hall has no real business trying to say it's a credible hall unless those two stars are there. I mean Pete Rose is there, so is Bob Uecker, Refrigerator Perry, who is Vince trying to kid. I'm glad for the inductees but I won't be happy till Savage and Miss Elizabeth are there.

I didn't even think about the connection of them two going in at the same time so good pull on your part. I don't think it will cause any problems but in regards to her going in this was a no brainer to me. Sunny changed the way women in wrestling are viewed as well as used. While Elizabeth played a big part, I think Sunny is the reason we have seen women such as; Sable, Trish, etc.

I feel the hof is for superstars who have made a huge impression either managing, good wrestling ability and brilliant entertainment values. Most of these stars mentioned have to come under one of these.

Pillman was good but not my own personal favourite, im not so sure of his hof entry.
Rick Rude is a definate, first class wrestler and entertainer.
You have to give Vader an induction he really was a high flying bigman and a big impression on both WCW/WWE
Malenko was never a wrestler I could like but yes he needs a hof position as his ability is second to none. He is underated.
Steiners - Maybe quite undecided
Road Warriors with out a shadow of doubt should be in there. Quite possibly the most iconic tag team of all time. Good wrestlers and great crowd pleasers. A definite induction needed.
Sting is not a wrestler iv been interested in and if he gets an induction my feelings are mixed.
THE MACHO MAN RANDY SAVAGE has to be put in the hof, my word he is a complete classic and a great entertainer/competitor. Vince cannot leave him out of the hof, he gave alot and needs wrestling recognition.
Arn Anderson - Definite. No Question 100% Hall of famer

It's a fucking joke, sunny really, then again Koko B. Ware is in to. It contraticts HHH comment about Goldberg not being in the HOF because he was only big for a couple years, same with Sunny. Sunny wasn't half as big as Sable, and wasn't the first women to come out in a bikini, so you understand my point.

First of all, I'm sure Paul Heyman will not be in the hall of fame this year, so this isn't asking will he be inducted in the 2011 class. My question is, should and/or will Paul Heyman ever be inducted into the Hall of Fame?

Paul Heyman by far is one of the greatest minds ever in the history of the business, and as many people know, was a huge influence in the best period of the WWF post-the Rock 'N Wrestling era, that being the Attitude Era. He was innovative, even as Paul E. Dangerously in the NWA/WCW with his off the cuff, but dead on promos and the head of some of the best wrestlers of that day. We all know Paul's accent in ECW, a company that was certainly ahead of its time and we know that Paul is still a figure in the business, even though he's not physically involved anymore. From Steve Austin to Brock Lesner, Paul helped a lot of people along the way and is one of most important people ever to come along. So I ask, should/will Paul Heyman ever be inducted? Do you see Vince giving him the nod and if so, when should he be inducted?

For sure, All his years as a top-heel manager in NWA/WCW and what he did with ECW. There should be no argument!
