Bruno Sammatino said yes? I thought he was putting "I don't want to be in the HOF" in his will so nobody could put him in posthumously.

I have done posts about this in the past. The two guys who deserve to get in the most are finally going in! Bruno and Mr. Backlund. I was so excited to see the news about Bruno. There is no WWE HOF without Mr. Sammartino. I'm glad he agreed to go in because he deserves it. I feel HHH is behind all of it and if so, thank you Trips!

Now let's work on getting Owen in!

I was just talking about this on Skype with a friend of mine. I am still in a bit of minor disbelief that Paul Levesque actually got Bruno to agree to the induction, but that will subside in due time. It's crazy for the amount Bruno has spoke out on against the WWE, voicing his dislike of the company's direction, and for years refuse an induction. Now all of that is over. And this piece of history can finally be concluded.

I wonder if Bob will induct Bruno and vice versa - I am sure Bob going in this year is a major factor in Bruno changing his mind. Now the important thing to remember is that he hasn't gone in before because HE didn't want to, so I'm not gonna bust out the bunting and do a dance that he "finally" is going in. He could have previously had he wanted, but now it sounds like he actually does (or maybe did all along but genuinely was that out of touch with the product that he thought it was still the Attitude Era - just like 90% of the IWC lol)

It'll be good to see him go in but now Bruno has a responsibility to make sure it happens, no flare ups, no withdrawls and most importantly no conditions or rants. I heard it might be that he "doesn't see Vince" that's ridiculous, Vince will be there, front row and if not it'll just make the proceedings awkward. We know Bruno doesn't like vulgarity etc, now he's said that in his statement I hope he leaves all the negativity at the door and puts over the truth, the guys that helped him and the amazing strides the product he was part of has made... if he does that, then he's gonna be back in the fold properly...anything else and it'd be better he never said yes.

Now the interesting thing is do they slip Savage in there too now to get that elephant out of the room at the same time? After all, it then becomes a class of World Champs - Savage would fit well with the other 3 guys and having Bruno there would deflect from Randy not being.

It truly is a very historic day. Never in my wild imagination did I ever imagine that the greatest wrestler of all time, would bury the hatchet with Vince whom he has despised for decades, and take his long awaited place into the Hall of Fame. Of course I wasn't alive when Bruno was in the WWWF, but any real wrestling fan knows he was the instrument that paved the way for Harley Race, Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels. Sammartino being inducted and at Madison Square Garden is 100% the right thing. Also, I must say this..for years I openly questioned the very notion that Triple H would take over when McMahon retired for I felt WWE would have been in much better hands with Shane. I absolutely must give him enormous props for ending what was the Yogi Berra-George Steinbrenner civil war of the WWE. If he can bring Bruno back, there is now real legit hope in my mind that very soon..Macho Man Randy Savage, the Ultimate Warrior, and Owen Hart will take their also long due place in the HOF.

It's about time they came to terms and let him be recognized in the HoF. It was worth there wait because there's not a venue that would be more fitting to host his Hall of Fame induction. I'm curious to see who inducts him now. This year's Hall of Fame is the real deal.

Long overdue. Just like Backlund. Added to Foley and Trish Stratus it seems to me this is one of the best HoF lineups they ever had. If only Savage was added to that list...

On Saturday, April 6, 2013, real estate mogul, best-selling author and perennial thorn in Mr. McMahon’s side Donald Trump will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame alongside Bruno Sammartino, Mick Foley, Bob Backlund and Trish Stratus in Madison Square Garden.

What are your thoughts on Trump going into the WWE Hall of Fame? Obviously he's the celebrity inductee, and IMO, he makes the most sense out of most of WWE's previous celebrity inductees. Donald Trump has been associated with the WWE since WrestleMania 4. I think he's a great inductee, and probably the most deserving celebrity to be inducted. Most likely Trump will be inducted by Mr. McMahon himself, and I believe that is also a very good decision. But what do you think?

Definitley one of the more worthy celebrities to go into the celebrity wing of the Hall of Fame, this man helped promote the WWE in the 80's and even was influential to the early years of Wrestlemania, so as far as I'm concerned, he deserves to be in there way more then somebody like Drew Carrey.

Say what you will about Mr Trump but as far as celebrity HOF'ers goes he is the most worthy of the bunch. About fuckin time IMO. His places hosted WM 4 and 5 no other venue has done that since. Trump is a huge icon and business mogul. While i dont care for celebrity apprentice all that much Trump is a genius business man.

The battle of the Billionaires couple of yrs ago was nothing short of genius. Trump is a badass business man and brings it like Vinnie Mac. Now if only we could throw that piece of garbage drew carey out of the HOF somehow. That turd did nothing to deserve his spot

Move over Drew Carey and congrats...you are no longer the most worthless member of the hall of shame....err, fame.

Got to love how the WWE overhyped Trump's importance to the WWE. Trump skirts into the hall of fame simply because he is friends with Vinnie Mac. Mr. T is a more worthy candidate then Donald "Small Potatoes" Trump. Andy Kaufman is shut out again.
