The {Original} Wrestlezone Tournament

Oh yes. Oh Yes Oh Yes. The prediction comes true for Colamania. Eddie is eliminated and Austin and Flair draw again. So, here they come, my predicions for the final matches, including the one everything has been drawing up to. That's right, Battle of the 'Bergs.

First Round Redemption Match: Goldberg vs Gillberg

Only one outcome, Everyone knows who is gonna get 100% of the votes here. GILLBERG! GILLBERG!

Winner: Gillberg

World's worst wrestler: Batista vs Ultimate Warrior

Oh My God! A match of epic proportions of steroids, unwarranted pushes and titles which havn't been earned. Ladies and gentlemen (WHAT? do you want it? do you need it? Let me hear it): Draw. Neither man could possibly win this thing, they'd be too scared of each other's fake muscles to come to the ring. One man hides behind JR and King, the other hides under the ring.

Double Countout Draw

The Technical Wet Dream: Kurt Angle vs Bret Hart Ultimate Submission

0-0. It's gotta be. 0-0 after 30 mins of technical amazement, then Bret refuses to continue, and, while he's arguing with the referee, Angle locks in the Anklelock from behind, and Bret taps.

Winner 1-0 in overtime: Kurt Angle

Soon to be seen in TNA: AJ Styles vs Rob Van Dam

What a match this will be once RVD signs for TNA. Gotta be the Clash as a win though. Just cos i love The Phenomenal One really.

Winner: AJ Styles

The Big Men: Bam Bam Bigelow vs Big Van Vader

The ring, the arena and the entire world shakes when Bam Bam Bigelow hits the moonsault on BVV. Only one outcome here.

Winner: Bam Bam Bigelow

The One We've All Been Waiting For: Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Ric Flair vs Shawn Micheals

Wow. What a final. 80s vs 90s, with all 3 men still going in the 2000s. Well, kind of. At any rate, all 3 men appear at Wrestlemania 23 just one day after the tourney ends. Anyway: i'm going with the heartbreak kid. Micheals is a huge big match man, he's got the best conditioning of anyone, and Austin and Flair have had 2 huge stamina-draining draws already.

The Ultimate Wrestlezone Champion: The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Micheals

First the filler matches! Goldberg dominates Gillberg, Warrior over Batista,Angle barely over Hart,I think Hart is a little better but this match I lean toward Angle because of reversals and his amateur background, Vader over Bam Bam, in what is probably a better match than Hart/Angle, Styles pins RVD after 28 minutes, RVD comes off for the frog splash,Styles moves, Styles with his finisher and its over.
Now on to the finals, I stated once before that I could only deal with Flair losing to one of four people, and two of them are facing him, so regardless I can take what happens. A couple of things for people to think about. First everyone says Flair is wore out, true two hard fought matches, but Flair has the history of the GAB in 87 not to mention particapted in Stracade in the best four match, Flair and Michael are the two greatest stamina wrestlers of all time. The second and overlooked factor here, Stone Cold & HBK during their primes hated each other and there emotions will come to a boil, and they will go after each other leaving Flair standing back and watching! HBK takes down Stone Cold with Sweet Chin Music! As it gets down to HBK/Flair, HBK goes to shake Flairs hand because he admires Flair and Flair kicks Michaels between the legs and goes on the attack, HBK fights back and goes up top for the elbow drop and misses it, as HBK is getting up low blow, Flair Pulls him over to the ropes and goes after the legs, Michaels starts to get up and and the knee buckles Flair goes for a pin and puts legs on the ropes and the direstest player in the game wins the match and the title as greatest ever as Hogan looks on in unbelief! Flair WHOOOOOOOO as AA comes out and they celebrates together!

Jesus man, what a round of matches! I can only imagine how awesome it truly would be to see Flair and Austin fight to two consecutive draws! These two are monsters and I guarantee both of those matches were just wrestling clinics, every fan on earth was watching that match. I'm a bit PO'ed that Guerrero didn't get the win because I really thought he deserved it, but it's totally understandable how he didn't.

So now we've got the finals huh...and a triple threat at that! That's just how damn good these guys are that the finals had to be a triple threat man, awesome, so god damn awesome. We have the three greatest wrestlers and entertainers in the history of the business, Austin, Flair, and HBK, all going at it in a hell of a brawl that I guarantee to be the match of the tournament, how couldn't it be man?! This is amazing, but it was a bit of an easy choice for me. Austin and Flair are gonna be so tired at this point it'll be ridiculious, but than again they've got those five joke matches to go on before they do, so that'll give em some serious rest time. I think at this point, we're just gonna see the best three of all time pulling out every single move they've ever learned, we're gonna see HBK go into the high flying Rockers days, Austin go to his high flyin Hollywood Blondes days, and Flair...well Flair will just continue to do what he does best and destroy life. In the end though, it'll be barely won by HBK after Austin gets the stunner on Flair and HBK hits the sweet chin music on Austin, dropping to the mat with both of his hands covering both men for the double elimination and the crowning of the tournament.

Ladies and gentlemen, the prediction is in, and your winner of the 2007 Wrestlezone Tournament will undoubtedly be...

SHAWN MICHAELS!

Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels
This is gonna be a classic matchup here with three all time legends going at it. Once all 3 get into the ring i see an HBK HBK chant, Flair Flair chant, Austin Austin chant. All are going to pull out all the stops holding nothing back. I see HBK hitting the superkick on Stone Cold with flair getting the pin, making it HBK versus Flair. I think these two will go for a solid 10-15 minutes. I think flair locks in the figure four but HBK will not submit and reaches the ropes. HBK then takes advantage with the elbow drop from the top rope and is tuning up the band. Goes for sweet chin music but flair blocks it and goes for a close line but HBK avoids it and boom out of nowhere HBK hits sweet chin music and gets the victory.

Winner of the Ultimate Wrestlezone Tournament:
The Showstoppa
The Icon
The Main Event
Mr. Wrestlemania
"THE HEARTBREAK KID" SHAWN MICHAELS

This is ridiculous... ANOTHER DRAW?!?!?!?!

Shockmaster you've really outdone yourself here! This is incredible!

Who would've thunk... a Triple Threat Match between

HBK, SCSA and Flair!! That's ludicrous!!!

Ok well it gets a little easier here... I think. I'm not sure.

If SCSA's and Flair's votes cancel each other out... then HBK should win this, right?

Not so fast...

A lot of people might switch their vote from Flair or Austin to HBK... but what if the Flair OR Austin supporters all think the same (and it looks like they do), and one of the two sides don't switch their votes... then one of them might win it...

*goes to the medicine cabinet and takes an advil for his headache*

Anyway... I think it's going to be a close one but I also think we're all close to fed up with Austin vs. Flair... Fans turn on those two (after all both were great heels at one time or another in their prime), and put their support behind HBK.

After being double teamed and beat down by the two other legends, HBK musters up enough energy to take Flair out with Sweet Chin Music. Flair flips over the top rope and lands on the concrete outside that Stone Cold had uncovered earlier in the match.

Flair's out of the match.

It's down to Austin and Michaels.

The fans are going wild.

It takes a turn for the ugly as both competitors start wailing at each other. Fist fight! Austin gets the upper hand. He Irish Whips Michaels off the ropes but Michaels reverses it into the corner, where the ref was standing!

The ref is out cold!!!

Both Michaels and Austin, being the opportunists that they are, slip out of the ring and grab chairs. The swing at each other, but Michaels ducks out of the way and hits Austin!

Austin is now out cold!!

Michaels covers Austin, but there's no referee!

What's this!!?! The SPECIAL ENFORCER!! MIKE TYSON comes into the ring and counts the 3 fall for Michaels, to make up for WrestleMania 14!!

Michaels is your winner and the Ultimate wrestler of all time!!!!

So here we go with the finals of this bad boy.

Match 1:
Gillberg vs. Goldberg. As much as Gillberg put up a fight, Goldberg takes this one with only 53% of the vote.

Match2: In a battle of who bounces off the rope and does the hardest shoulder block, batista wins, but hugs the Warrior at the end. When they hug they form an Egg which hatches the Gobbeldy Gooker

Match 3: Bigelow takes down vader with 53% of the vote.

Match 4: Another very close match. RVD takes down AJ Styles with only 51% of the vote.

Match 5:What a difference a stipulation makes. Kurt Angle takes down Bret Hart with an impressive 59%.

The Finals
Triple Threat Match
Austin v. Flair v. Michaels

This match starts off as most of us thought it would, with Flair and Austin double teaming Michaels to finish what they have started. This match goes on for another 20 minutes or so, before Flair has Michaels in the Figure Four. Michaels Finally manages to get to the rope to call for the break.

Austin comes into the ring, and finally, a Stone Cold Stunner on Ric Flair to send the Nature Boy flat on his back. Austin goes for the pin, but out of no where it's Sweet Chin Music. HBK Falls on top of both men to get the double pinfall victory, and become the First Ever Wrestlezone Champion.

Well that's it. Thanx to everyone that did this thing. I thought it was a blast.

So here's the deal. I want feedback and suggestions on what we can do to make this thing better for next year. I'll probably start around january putting a new field of 256 together, but new credentials will probably be needed. Gimmick matches, keep em or dump em? What should the creds be? All that sorta thing.

Now I'm going to do a tag team one for SummerSlam, so I'll get that started around june to get 128 tag teams in that one. I only want a person to be represented on one team, so we won't have RKO and Edge and Christian, Rockers and DX.

Another one I want to do will be for Survivor Series, but it's going to be tough as hell to do. I want to do a Stable War with 32 either 4 or 5 team factions and the Main Event of that Tourny will be War Games, but that's a long way off, and if i want to shoot myself after the tag tournament, then I wouldn't know what I'd do then.

And finally, I might do something to kill time between now and SSlam, maybe the 64 worst moments in Wrestling, and no this isn't injuries or Owen's Death, this is Gobbeldy Gookers and Hawk Suicide Attempts.

So Feedback.

Bravo Shockmaster, Bravo!

I'M JUST A SEXY BOY!...Sexy Boyyyyyy...I'm not your boy toy...boy toyyyyyy....

SHAWN MICHAELS: 2007 WRESTLEZONE TOURNAMENT CHAMPION

Man I'd be proud as hell if I was HBK, seriously that this many marks and fans came together to vote between 256 of the greatest wrestlers of all time and chose him as the top guy. Big honor. I can't give enough thanks to Shockmaster for this thread, you really put a lot into it and don't think we all don't appreciate it a ton man.

lol...hmm what a surprising finish to the match, where on earth could you have gotten that idea from?
In the end though, it'll be barely won by HBK after Austin gets the stunner on Flair and HBK hits the sweet chin music on Austin, dropping to the mat with both of his hands covering both men for the double elimination and the crowning of the tournament.

lol I won't hold it against you.

Who's excited for the tag tournament baby!

wow this has been an amazing tournament and I knew from the start that the best of all time is Shawn Michales!!!!!!!!!!

He truly is the best!
I think everyone should thank Shockmaster!

Haha, no I didn't steal that directly from you. That's to make up for Terry Funk and the Undertaker, haha.

fantastic. HBK is recognised as the best of all time, and I personally have no arguments whatsoever. Actually, I do have one argument, that, once again you people disgust me. How did Goldberg beat Gillberg? I am shocked, shocked i tell you! OK feedback:

Fantastic. Absolutly brilliant, but, for next time, i say base it on different credentials. Fan bases, popularity, pushes, win/loss records (actually, i think that's a good one), just something which gets rid of David Arquette, Eric Bischoff and John Cena. (That last one's for you, xfear).

Yes, keep the gimmick matches. It wouldn't be the same without them, it adds a whole extra edge to the tournament, and i don't mean a 12 time tag champion either.

Tag team tournament: 100% yes. Looking forward to that hugely. As for the issue of who will they pair with, just base it on tag team success. For instace, as far as DX is concerned, I would actually much prefer to see HBK in the Rockers, and Triple H with Stone Cold as the Power Trip. (Eh? Eh? Brainy guy over here. Remember, I predicted the triple threat final *winks*) I think that would be brilliant, the power trip back together. We could see teams like The Hardyz, The Dudleyz, LAX, The New Age Outlaws, The Four Horsemen, Eddie & Chavo, AJ Styles & Christopher Daniels, Orton & Batista, MNM, The Legion Of Doom, The APA, come on it will be huge!!! Seriously, so looking forward to it. Good luck, and if you do need any help with the tag tourney, seriously, I think everyone who's even read this forum will offer to help, so let me be the first. Peace out, HBK to win again tomorrow and finally de-throne Mr. Overpushed of the decade.

WOOOOHHOOOO!!

What an ending!!!

Great job Shockmaster!!!

Xfear, Tarp, everyone, Cola, everyone who posted here, AWESOME debating with you!

Can't wait to do it again soon!

Shock, it won't let me give you more rep!!! :P :(

I definitly think that the stipulations should be left in, and i cannot wait for the other tournaments to begin...great job again on the tournament, you went above and beyond shockmaster

shockmaster you are officially my new hero thx for all the hard work.

Yeah Shockmaster, that was awesome. Thanks A lot. It was really fun. I would love to see one for tag teams. I have a lot of suggestions for tag teams. I would love to tell you them. You probably already know them all but just in case you missed a few....

I haven't been able to get on the forum since Friday, kept saying page down, oh I have been so aggravted!
Prax thank you and I have enjoyed the debates also.
Shockmaster you are not the man(Ric Flair) but you are might close. Thanks for a great job!
Tag team touranment I can't wait! Keep the stips for at least one round, and maybe since its a tag touranment not as many gimmick matches, after all field will be cut in half. I always loved the natural cage match, not escape clause, I also like the TLC, please no blindfold or scaffold match! I would put Stone Cold with Pillman not HHH like some have mentioned. My question to you fans outhere and to Shockey, who goes with Flair! AA/Tully go together, Ole/Arn go together, Lex/Sting go together, aren't manytrue horsemen left. Give some thoughts, he and Blackjack were great early, but once again Blackjack goes with the Blackjacks. Don't forget the Vonerichs when you do this Shock! Take care all!

Brilliant arguing with you too Prax!

Looking forward to a tag team tournament so we can start arguing all over again. Now if you'll excuse me, i'm off to start a "we hate Cena" group with xfear. Shawn Micheals, having just been voted Wrestlezone Tournament Champion, losing to John Cena, that's John Freakin Cena, at Wrestlemania, in the main event, by SUBMISSION??? Cena beats Benoit and Michaels within the space of a couple of weeks, both by SUBMISSION???

2 months to go before the teams for the Tag Team Tournament are revealed. This is gonna be probably better then the regular tourney. Hmm, wonder if I should put the Dudleyz against the LOD.

lol man I cannot wait for the next round of debates Shocky! WZEvolution's premier member contributes yet again another fantastic thread.

And LOD vs. Dudleys...well....that's gonna be ugly.

yea who are gonna be the four #1 seeds in the tag tourney?

i have my opinions but you are the man and want to see how similar we think, cause i started researching about myself fdoing a tag team tournament but you stepped up and you did a hell of a job on the first one, so just curious about that.

Im going to Guess. The Dudleys, LoD, British Bulldogs and the Hart Foundation. just for the fat that that seems like the best options since you have the most crowned Tag title winners , the arguably best Tag team. the Bulldogs and Hart Foundation are both good Tag teams. But would this include AJ Styles in his WCW tag team or as Styles and Daniels?

You do realize that Shocky's our Batista right? And that you just called Batista our premiere member?

SHOCK, I can't friggin wait!!!

We'll have to wait and see I guess... but I think we could argue Edge & Christian and the Hardys as top seeds. Not to mention the Minnesota Wrecking Crew...

Personally i gotta go with L.O.D., Dudley Boyz, Harlem Heat, and Demolition. Demolition were arguably the top tag team in the WWF during its glory period of tag teams like hart foundation, bulldogs, colossel connection, rockers, just to name a few.

Prax,
i could see Edge and Christian but not the Hardyz. I just think higher of them as tag team but i dont know see them replacing any of those 4 teams
