The {Original} Wrestlezone Tournament

TNA Region, Hartford, CT.

Match 1: Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs
Absolute no contest... go bother Hulk Hogan Brian. HHH advances.

Match 2: Paul London vs. The Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan
Tough match to call. I haven't actually seen a lot of Sullivan but I've read a lot about him in some wrestler's autobiographies. However no one should underestimate Paul London's potential. Some of his pre-WWE matches were among the greatest titls I've ever seen. London uses the six sided ring to win the match.

Match 3: Diamond Dallas Page vs. Evan Karagias
Meh. Welcome to round 2 DDP.

Match 4: Randy Orton vs. the Free Bird Michael Hayes
Pretty good match here, but there's a reason they call Orton the Legend Killer. RKO wins decisively.

Match 5: Big Van Vader vs Jacque Rougeou (The Mountie)
My heart is telling me to go with my homeboy Jacques, but there's no denying Vader here, who could very well be the greatest wrestler to never win the WWE championship. ;) Big Van Vader wins.

Match 6: Senshi (Low Ki) vs. Jake the Snake Roberts
Low Ki's a great wrestler, but it's amazing how Jake the Snake has barely ever been crowned with any championships. One of the biggest legends in the sport. Despite the ring advantage, Senshi can't handle Jake!

Match 7: Curt Hennig (Mr. Perfect) vs. Ole Anderson
Toughest match to call in this entire tournament. But in the end, Ole's more of a tag team specialist. Curt Hennig wins this great tilt narrowly.

Match 8: Johnny Hot Body vs. Crash Holly
Never really saw much of Hot Body, but Crash has 20 or so more championships undder his name than Johnny, so I'm gonna go with him :P

Potential Round 2 matches:
Triple H vs. Paul London (VERY interesting match here, Triple H always performs well with guys like London)
DDP vs. RKO (another great matchup)
Vader vs. Jake the Snake (classic WWF matchup here)
Mr. Perfect vs. Crash Holly (doesn't really matter who wins match number 8 I guess huh? lol. Kind of funny how all the matches in round two look great except for this one!)

Here are teh results from Montreal Canada.

Match 1: Hulk Hogan destroys Rodney. The Hulkster only gets 92% of the vote, which proves that people do indeed hate wrestling, or the Hulkster at least.

match 2: In a match that was a lot closer then I expected, Ahmed Johnson knocks out George Steel with 52% of the vote.

Match 3: Sid powerbombs amazing Red straight out of the tournament. Sid advances with 92% of the vote.

Match 4: In what could be considered an upset, Sabu eliminates Road Warrior Animal with 72%.

Match 5: The Sandman takes care of IRS with 68%.

Match 6: I'm a little disapointed with this, but Carliot receives 78% of the vote to knock out Hillbilly Jim.

Match 7: AJ Styles destroys crowbar with 95% of the vote.

Match 8: Chavo Guerrero frogsplashes Alex Wright out of the tourny. Chavo with 95% as well.

Round 2 matches.
Hulk Hogan vs. Ahmed Johnson
Sycho Sid vs. Sabu
The Sandman vs. Carlito
AJ Styles vs. Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Now onto today. These matches all take place in the WCW Region - Chicago. All the matches have the rampway even with the Ring.

Credentials:
Luger: 5 time United States Champion, 1 time NWA tag team champion, 2 time WCW champion, 2 time WCW tag team champion, 2 time WCW TV champion, 1 time Royal Rumble winner.

Crowd Advantage: Luger

Match 2: Stevie Ray vs. Balls Mahoney
Credentials:
Ray: 10 time WCW tag team champion, 1 time WCW TV champion
Mahoney: 3 time ECW Tag team champin
Crowd Advantage: Neither

Match 3: Magnum TA vs. Big John Studd
Credentials:
TA: 2 time United States Champion
Studd: 1 time World tag team champion, 1 time Royal Rumble winner, WCW Hall of Famer, WWE Hall of Famer
Crowd Advantage: Neither

match 4: Chris Sabin vs. Chris Candido
Credentials:
Sabin: 4 time X-Division Champion
Candido: 3 time ECW tag team champion, 1 time NWA champion, 1 time WCW Cruiserweight champion, 1 time World tag team champion
Crowd Advantage: Neither

Credentials:
Regal: 4 time WCW TV champion, 1 time Intercontinental Champion, 4 time European Champion, 4 time World tag team champion, 5 time WWE Hardcore Champion
Holly: 1 time NWA tag team champion, 2 time World tag team champion, 6 time WWE Hardcore champion
Crowd Advantage: Neither

Match 6: Spike Dudley vs. Shane McMahon
Credentials:
Dudley: 2 time ECW tag team champion, 7 time WWE hardcore champion, 1 time European champion, 1 time World tag team champion, 1 time WWe Cruiserweight champion
McMahon: 1 time European Champion, 1 time WWE hardcore champion
Crowd Advantage: Neither

Credentials:
Lesnar: 3 time WWE Champion, 1 time King of the Ring winner, 1 time Royal Rumble Winner

Abbot: Knock people out with one punch
Crowd Advantage: Neither

WCW Region - Chicago.

Match 1: The Total Package Lex Luger (The Narcisist) vs. Reno
No contest here, Ugh this would be a bad match. The Lex Express advances easily.

Match 2: Stevie Ray vs. Balls Mahoney
Can't deny what Stevie did with his bro in WCW, especially not for someone who's only move is punching his opponent in the head while the crowd yells "Balls". Stevie Ray easily.

Match 3: Magnum TA vs. Big John Studd
Another easy one, gotta go with the Studd.

match 4: Chris Sabin vs. Chris Candido
Gotta go with Candido Here. Sabin really hasn't done anything yet to prove otherwise.

Match 5: William Regal (Lord Steven) vs. Hardcore Holly (Sparky Plugg)
This one's a toughie. Both these guys have been career mid-carders who could be superstars if used properly. But I'm going to go with Regal here, he has the superior ring talent.

Match 6: Spike Dudley vs. Shane McMahon
Spike Dudley is nothing but a gimmick. Shane McMahon actually has some skillz. Shane O Mac in a very entertaining matchup.

Match 7: Brock Lesnar vs. D-Von Dudley
Despite the fact that D-Von is a part of one of the best Tag Teams in wrestling history, he really hasn't done anything at all without Brother Ray. And you can't deny all that Lesnar did in his short career in WWE. Lesnar in a squash.

Match 8: Michael Shane vs. Tank Abbott
I couldn't be more meh about a match, but I'm going to go with Abbott just for fun.

Potential Round 2 Matches:
Luger vs. Stevie Ray (Can someone say Monday Nitro? :P)
Studd vs. Candido (Interesting match up...)
Regal vs. Shane (another entertaining match, but I mean any match with ShaneO is)
Lesnar vs. Abbott (*yawn* looking forward to Lesnar vs. Lugar)

I really hope Magnum TA gets some votes as I think he would have been a huge star if not for the car accident that cost him his career.

MY Picks.

Match 1: Hunter Hearst Helmsley vs. Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs
Triple H barely spits his water out before he knocks out Knobbs.

Match 2: Paul London vs. The Taskmaster Kevin Sullivan
I like London in the six sided ring, but I know what Kevin Sullivan is. I think Sullivan takes this one in a squeaker.

Match 3: Diamond Dallas Page vs. Evan Karagias
Diamond cutter in about 2 seconds.

Match 4: Randy Orton vs. the Free Bird Michael Hayes
RKO in about 2 seconds.

Match 5: Big Van Vader vs Jacque Rougeou (The Mountie)
Vader in a squash. I love the Mountie, but Vader is very under rated.

Match 6: Senshi (Low Ki) vs. Jake the Snake Roberts
Low Ki is killer in that ring, but i just see him trying one move to many and bam, DDT.

Match 7: Curt Hennig (Mr. Perfect) vs. Ole Anderson
Tough time with this one. Two former Horsemen. Simply Perfect though, can't go against Hennig.

Match 8: Johnny Hot Body vs. Crash Holly
Snooze fest match. I'll go with Holly because i too loved the ball pen fight.

Maybe the worst set of matches in the first round from Chicago.
Match 1: The Total Package Lex Luger (The Narcisist) vs. Reno
Luger gets Reno in the Torture Rack as he walks into the Ring.

Match 2: Stevie Ray vs. Balls Mahoney
Hmm, a so-so match. Stevie Ray gets the nod.

Match 3: Magnum TA vs. Big John Studd
Magnum was very under appreciated, but that being said, i'm leaning with John Studd.

match 4: Chris Sabin vs. Chris Candido
Very good matchup, but I'm taking Candido.

Match 5: William Regal (Lord Steven) vs. Hardcore Holly (Sparky Plugg)
Simply said, William Regal maybe the most underused man in history. I had the privelage of seeing Regal vs. Benoit at the Pillman memorial show, and to this day, there hasn't been a more technically sound match that i've seen. I'm going Regal.

Match 6: Spike Dudley vs. Shane McMahon
I'm going with Shane. Spike is cool, but Shane being a Billionare's son has done some absolutely insane things.

Match 7: Brock Lesnar vs. D-Von Dudley
Brock Lesnar Kills D-Von in under 10 seconds. He's my pick to win the whole thing, so have to go with the monster.

Match 8: Michael Shane vs. Tank Abbott
One Punch and Abbot wins.

Should we just have mercy on everyone and get right to the Luger vs. Lesnar match.

WCW Region-Chicago
Lex Luger vs. Reno - Luger easily handles Reno who've I've seen in possibly one or two matches at most. Luger in his prime was very underrated and has been overshadowed in the last few years from his crazy disintegration into spousal abuse and drugs.
Winner: Lex Luger

Stevie Ray vs. Balls Mahoney - Although I am a Balls Mahoney fan, it's only because he really does swing the chair harder than anyone you've ever seen. But as was said before, his only real offensive move is punches while the crowd shouts out Balls! If it were ECW and Balls could get his hands on a chair, I'd give him the win, but this is WCW and Stevie Ray takes this one.
Winner: Stevie Ray

Magnum TA vs. Big John Studd - Another real tough one. Magnum TA always impressed me in his matches, he always seemed to have more skills and moves than your average wrestler of the time, plus his I Quit match with Tully Blanchard is one of the best matchs of all time. And Big John Studd is a former Rumble winner, not to mention quite the powerful mofo. TA grabs this one in the mild upset.
Winner: Magnum TA

Chris Sabin vs. Chris Candido - Although I like what the future holds for Sabin, he's not nearly at the level Candido was before he died.
Winner: Chris Candido

William Regal vs. Hardcore Holly - Another tough match up. I've always been a fan of Bob Holly and his tough as hell wrestling. When that guy hits you it looks like it hurts alot. But Regal has some fantastic technical moves and could take this matchup after applying one of them. Maybe Regal could take a turn at breaking one of Holly's bones, god knows the rest of the WWE has.
Winner: William Regal

Spike Dudley vs. Shane McMahon - Shane O'Mac is great, I don't care what anybody says. He may not have the best moves but his style and character put him over huge in my book. Not to mention he's most definately earned his stripes as a wrestler, look at his infamous falls from the titan trons and other hardcore matches he had with the likes of the Big Show. Spike I've always liked too, but he wouldn't stand a chance with Shane O Mac.
Winner: Shane McMahon

Brock Lesnar vs. D-Von Dudley - Although the Dudleys were easily one of the best tag teams of all time, Brock was truly a force to be reckoned with. He had such a vast set of moves that he could mess you up with, not to mention the F-5 is one of the best finishers of all time. It's a shame he got so headstrong and cocky and walked out on the WWE.
Winner: Brock Lesnar

Michael Shane vs. Tank Abbott - The most "meh" match of the entire tournament. Tank Abbott bashes Shane's face in like he was back in UFC.
Winner: Tank Abbott
Winner: William Regal

So let's see we got:
Lex Luger vs. Stevie Ray
Magnum TA vs. Chris Candido
William Regal vs. Shane McMahon
Brock Lesnar vs. Tank Abbott (that match is gonna hurt everyone involved. Can you say ultimate fighting?)

Luger vs. Lesnar??? I would pick Sabin or Candido in the six sided ring anytime vs Luger. Sabin is one of my current favorites and Candido I thought had the potential to be one of the best ever, it was the hardest match for me to choose so far. But I in the end decided on Sabin because he has nowhere near reached what I know he can eventually be, a consistent main eventer in a top company.

WCW Region: Chicago
Lex Luger v. Reno- I always thought Luger was overrated but he will role in this match:
WInner: Luger

Stevie Ray v. Balls Mahoney- Stevie wasn't much after Harlem Heat broke up and I don't mind Balls' ring work.
WInner: Balls Mahoney

Magnum TA v. Big John Studd- I'm a mark for Magnum and think he would be right there in discussion with Flair, Hogan, etc. if not for the car accident.
Winner: Magnum TA

Chris Sabin v. Chris Candido- I think Sabin has a lot of potentail but I think Candido pulls this one out.
WInner: Chris Candido

William Regal v. Hardcore Holly- I think Regal wipes the mat with Holly.
WInner: William Regal

Spike Dudley v. Shane McMahon- This is actually a tough decision as Shane has proven he has in-ring skills. But I'm going to leave the wrestling to the wrestlers and take Spike.
Winner: Spike Dudley

Brock Lesnar v. D-Von Dudley- Squash match, Lesnar in short bout.
Winner: Brock Lesnar

Michael Shane v. Tank Abbott- Abbott would win a fight but Shane wins a wrestling match.
Winner: Michael Shane

Results from Hartford, CT.

Match 1: Triple H destroys Brian Knobbs. Pedigree with 100% of the vote.

Match 2: Paul London in what is a little shocker, knocks off the Taskmaster with 70%.

Match 3: No suprise here, DDP takes out Evan Karagias with 100% of the vote.

Match 4: Randy Orton RKO's Michael Hayes out of the Tourny. Orton gets 92%.

Match 5: Big Van Vader moonsaults and crushes the Poor Mountie. Vader demolishes and moves on with 97%.

Match 6: Jake The Snake Robers gets the DDT on Senshi to move onto the second round. Snake with 73%.

Match 7: Mr. Perfect remains absolutly perfect. Hennig eliminates Ole Anderson with 92%.

Match 8: The Snooze fest that is Hot Body vs. Crash Holly. Holly advances with 66%.

So these are the 2nd round matchups.
Triple H vs. Paul London
Diamond Dallas Page vs. Randy Orton

Mr. Perfect Curt Hennig vs. Crash Holly???

Alright, this is it for round 1. The poll is now closed]

Luger vs.

Without Lex Luger there would be no Brock Lesnar.

That being said that match NEEDS to happen in this bracket.

ECW Region - Boston

Match 1: John Cena vs. Big Vito
John Cena rips off that dress as he enters the ring and locks in the STFU without even breaking a sweat.

Match 2: Disco Inferno vs. Ernest the Cat Miller
Believe it or not this match sounds VERY entertaining. In what's a pretty much equal matchup... I'm gonna go with Disco here.

Match 3: Yokozuna vs. Barry Windham
Windham was great, but Yokozuna is literally 3 times his size. Yokozuno sits on his face and picks up the victory.

Match 4: Owen Hart (The Blue Blazer) vs. Lenny Lane
No Contest. Owen Hart with 100% of the vote. If you don't vote for Owen Bret might complain in the newspaper.

Match 5: The Ultimate Warrior vs. Oklahoma
lol Oklahoma. Warrior bites his head off.

Match 6: Kane vs. The Main Man Tracy Smothers
Kane in an absolute beat down. BTW, how does Smothers have a rules advantage? I know he was in ECW but have you seen some of the matches kane has been in? Chokeslam through 11 tables for a Kane victory.

Match 7: Dustin Rhodes (Goldust) vs. Masato Tanaka
Tanaka is great and he knows how to work the Extreme Rules matches, but goldust, or Dustin Rhodes specifically, was a VERY underrated competitor. His father's son indeed. Could have done A LOT of things in this business if it wasn't for him wanting to stay away from his father's legacy. Dustin Rhodes in a close hard fought match.,

Match 8: Glenn Osbourne vs. Steve Mongo McMichael
Wow, I couldn't care less for this match... but I'm going to go with Mongo cause I like his name better :D

Potential Round 2 matches:
Cena vs. Disco Inferno. *Yawn*
Yokozuna vs. Owen (going to be a tough one to call, but it would be entertaining).
Ultimate Warrior vs. Kane (VEERRRY entertaining matchup)
Goldust vs. Mongo *Yawn*

some good matches this round that is probably overlooked.
HHH, DDP, Crash Holly, & Vader are no-brainers.
Jake the Snake & Kevin Sullivan win two pretty good matches, Sullivan was a vicious human being.
A great matchup, Henning is a better wrestler, but Ole is so tough and smart in the ring and he might just catch that arm making it tough to do the perfect-plex. I'm going with the horsemen Ole Anderson.
In what is probably the best match of not just this round but probably neck and neck with Tully & Great Muta for the touranment thus far, The in his prime Michael P.S. Hayes takes down Randy Orton. When that Freebird song played and out come Hayes in the confederate robe you knew a man was coming out. I always dreamed of a Flair & Hayes match, when Hayes was in World Class & Flair in NWA.
The Ole pick may only get 35 percent of the vote but I'm fine either way, but
I'm telling you Hayes would take Orton. Good Luck Hayes. I was gone for a couple of days, and read and commented on the other bracket before moving on. Gotta go try and catch up later.

Boston Predictions:
1. Cena v. Big Vito- Cena takes this match no problem.
Winner: John Cena
2. Disco Inferno v. ernest Miller- give Disco a better gimmick and he could have been bigger.
Winner; Disco Inferno
3. Yokozuna v. Barry Windham- not a big yoko fan so I'm going pick Windham.
WInner; Barry Windham
4. Owen Hart v. Lenny Lane- Owen in a squash.
WInner: Owen Hart
5. Warrior v. Oklahoma- no contest
Winner: Warrior
6. Kane v. Tracey Smothers- Big Red Machine Rolls
winner: Kane
7. Dustin Rhodes v. Tanaka- I acutally had a tough time with this one but I'm going to take the upset.
Winner: Masato Tanaka
8. Osborne v. Mongo- Don't care
Winner: osborne

My Picks for Boston:
Match 1: John Cena destroys Veto right as he steps into the ring, no brainer.

Match 2: I enjoyed Ernest Miller as stupid as that sounds. I think he has more talent then the Inferno, so i'm going with the Cat.

Match 3: I respect Windham for everything he's done, but I just have a hard time seeing anybody defeat yokozuna. What a monster in his day.

Match 4: If anyone votes for Lane, then they truly hate wrestling. Owen has o problem here.

Match 5: Warrior as bad as he was, should have no problem with Oklahoma

Match 6: Kane destroys smothers. I only give Smothers the advantage because he is ECW alumni, even though he hardly ever utilized it.

Match 7: Hmmm tough one. In that environment Tanaka has the advantage. Then again, i don't see Seven resorting to smacking Tanaka with a steel chair, so i'm goin with Goldustin.

Match 8: Blah. Both Suck, I hate mongo so i'm going with Osborne. What an abomination on the name of Four Horseman.

My potentials 2nd rounder.
Cena vs. Miller (Yawn)
Yoko vs. Owen (I'm liking that, former partners collide).
Warrior vs. Kane (Hmm, i'm very interested in that)
Dustin vs. Osborn (Ya, Dustin goes onto the 3rd round)

Alright, so tomorrow i'm going to post a recap of round 1 since we'll know all the results except this region. Wednesday I'll get started on round 2.

this is where i need some help. Round 3 is the big question mark round. I'll let you know in the results of round 2 who is the higher seed in each match, but remember that person chooses the match, so I will take suggestions from everyone in that round. You can use any matches except for the 8 big ones used in the regional semifinals, so no Hell In the Cell's and stuff.

Sometime in the next week I'll post some matches that I've thought of to go on the Hypothetical Wheel for Raw Roulette.

Now, because it's wrestling and as inevitable as the sun setting, the discussion of outside interference. All of the matches within a round would take place within a day or so of each other, so think of it this way, it would almost be impossible for someone to fly from one side of the country to interfere in another persons match, unless they are in the same bracket or state. So for round 2, these matches would occur, say, two days later then the matches in round 1. The people that were eliminated in round 1 are still in the building, so you can always make a case for revenge, just another curveball to throw in there.

You really thought of everything, lol.

May I suggest starting a new thread for round two, just so things can be a little clearer, especially for people coming into the thread for the first time.

I would, but I haven't heard too much feedback from the moderators, so i'm not sure if they just want us to keep it all in here.

Great round so far I think...though a lot of easy decisions.

ECW Region-Boston(My Hometown!)
John Cena vs. Big Vito - Despite how much I loathe Cena, no one in their right mind could honestly pick Vito.
Winner: John Cena

Disco Inferno vs. Ernest "The Cat" Miller - Can you say opening bout of Monday Night Nitro? Disco takes this one despite a gimmick that not even the Rock could pull off.
Winner: Disco Inferno

Yokozuna vs. Barry Windham - I'm a bit upset about Windham having to face Yoko as I've always been a big fan of him, however that being said, Yokozuna easily takes this one. Without a doubt, the biggest man in the history of wrestling.
Winner: Yokozuna

Owen Hart vs. Lenny Lane - As said before, if you vote for Lane, you hate wrestling. Also, you are mentally ******ed.
Winner: Owen Hart

Ultimate Warrior vs. Oklahoma - Despite Warrior having been the biggest case of talent gone wrong in the history of wrestling, picking Oklahoma would be like picking The Shockmaster(Tugboat) to win this whole tourny.
Winner: Ultimate Warrior

Kane vs. Tracy Smothers - An easy, easy victory for Kane. Truly one of the most underappreciated forces in the WWE today, the guy is one of the best workers in the biz, and deserves way more than to be a 24 hour WWF champion back in 98.
Winner: Kane

Dustin Rhodes (Goldust) vs. Masato Tanaka - Although I'm a big Goldust fan, I can't honestly pick him in this one. If anyone votes for Goldust in this one, you've obviously never seen a match with Masato Tanaka. Easily one of the best performers in the history of independent wrestling, and his battles with Mike Awesome (RIP) will go down in history as some of the best wrestling America ever saw.
Winner: Masato Tanaka

Glenn Osbourne vs. Steve McMichael - I could honestly care less. McMichael wins with the help of ex wife Debra (puppies!)
Winner: Steve McMichael

So lets, see...
Cena vs. Disco Inferno (damnit why does Cena get to advance to round 3 past someone like Goldberg or Kevin Sullivan?)
Yokozuna vs. Owen Hart - This is gonna be great, the former tag champs and oddest tag team possibly in the history of wrestling. Although 'Zuna's got the size, Owen is my pick for possibly winning this whole thing. Upset for Owen.
Ultimate Warrior vs. Kane (g'bye Warrior)
Masato Tanaka vs. Steve McMichael - Tanaka literally eats Mongo in three seconds.

Here are the results From WCW Region- Chicago, Illinois.

Match 1: Flying Forearm and then the Torture Rack. Luger destroys Reno with 96% of the vote. Again how Reno gets 4% is beyond me.

Match 2: In a very close match which will probably suprise people. Balls Mahoney knocks off Booker T's Brother STevie Ray. Balls goes on with 53%.

Match 3: This one was a little more one sided then I thought. Big John Studd takes out Magnum TA with 73%.

Match 4: Another very close matchup in the battle of the Chris'. Chris Sabin has enough and knocks off Chris Candido with 56% of the vote.

Match 5: No real big shock here, William Regal gets 80% and sends home the lifelong underachiever Bob Holly. Maybe Hardcore can go beat up on some Tough Enough kid.

Match 6: In a bit of a shocker, Shane O'Mac gets by Spike Dudley with 66% of the vote. A McMahon goes onto the 2nd round.

Match 7: Poor D-Von Dudley, he had no idea what hit him. Brock Lesnar smashes through with 96% and heads to round 2.

Match 8: In another bit of a shocker, Tank Abbott takes out Michael Shane with 63%. Kinda interested in seeing that one happen.

Now matches for round 2.

looks to be some damn good 2nd round matchups. So this is how you will determine who controls the match in round 3. The number next to their name is that persons overall seed. The higher the seed in round 3, they choose the match. Break the brackets off into groups of 4 and you will see who has the potential of facing each other in that wild round.

Again, outside interference can occur if you wish, but just remember the location of said individuals. These matches would hypothetically take place 2 days after the round 1 matchups.

So far it seems to have been running pretty good with the exception of the Poster, who i'm guessing must be a pissed off Goldberg fan.

This is the most subjective part of the tourny, the who i think represents which company. You might not agree with these stats or whatever, but i like the way it looks. It shows that people are very diverse and not just picking a certain company.

I would, but I haven't heard too much feedback from the moderators, so i'm not sure if they just want us to keep it all in here.

Bah, one thread per round, especially early, I don't think would be too much of a big deal.

Either way I'm having LOADS of fun with this, good job.

I CAN'T WAIT for round 2! :)

About the win percentages, it looks good, and I guess I'm glad to see people are picking WWE wrestlers to win over .500, although I do kind of see a TNA bias despite them having less competitors.

I just hope people don't get stupid in this round or later rounds by picking people in TNA over true superstars in wrestling just because they might have more pure wrestling ability.

It's not all wrestling ability in this profession as you all should know, and Hulk Hogan has proved that over the years.

I hope you consider everything when you make your votes for the next rounds.

One more thing Shockmaster, when you post the next matches, if it's not too much to ask, could you remind us if the participating wrestlers have any allegiances and where those other wrestlers had their matches, so we can make a judgment call about whether interference is feasible or not? ;)

Ya i was planning on doing something like that for round 2 as far as allegiances and stuff go. pretty much anyone that's not inthe tournament can be at anyplace, because they are not a participant. I'll think of something to help out in this.

I've been monitoring the TNA voting on here, and, my personal opinion, i think a red flag would have gone up if Senshi beat Jake Roberts. People are entitled to their opinion, and i wouldn't have changed the outcome, but i would have started to question the integrity of this thing. I ahve nothing to gain by whoever wins, i just want it to be as unbiased as possible.

I think the TNA vs. WWE matches have gone the way they should. It'll be interested in later rounds what'll happen if we do get AJ Styles vs. Hulk Hogan. I say vote however you want, most people that have left why they voted a certain way make compelling arguement. It's strictly opinion and just done for fun.

It's true, it's strictly for fun and I'm having tons of it for here. And you know what, whether it pisses me off or not, if people want to vote TNA wrestlers through it's their prerogative really. Personally though, and now I'm talking opinion, I don't even see how AJ Styles would have an easy time beating Chavo even! He'll probably win, and yes he's accomplished a lot in his short career but imagine if Chavo was in TNA?

Sometimes you have to look at it like that. Chavo's a seasoned veteran and would probably walk all over TNA if he was there. Also would Styles beat Chavo in WWE? Somehow I don't think so.

Another example is Samoa Joe vs. JBL... I personally can't deny what JBL did in about a year, turning his career around from literally a nobody to headlining wrestlemania. A lot of people don't like JBL, but he's one of the best heels this profession has ever seen I think, and probably deserves to get past a guy like Joe, who's just starting out and isn't very good anyway.

I guess my point is that I feel like people are going to make a lot of decisions in their round 2 votes based strictly on wrestling ability or spots, and it sucks, because wrestling is not supposed to be about who's the most athletic, it's about who can work the style they wrestle the best, their mic skills, they're ability to tell a story in the ring, etc.

IMO all those things considered Chavo and JBL are better than their respective opponents, but since individual matches are I guess more fun to watch for casual fans that's the way they vote.

Anyway, just some food for though, generate a little discussion in here on our off night :P

I will agree about the JBL/Joe thing as I will be pulling hard for JBL in that match, he portrayed that gimmick perfectly and I really don't think anyone else could have pulled that off the way he did. I believe Joe has potential and that he could eventually become huge, but JBL should win this one.

On the AJ/Chavo match I am gonna have to disagree, I have never really seen what others see in Chavo and believe that he has only gotten to where he is because of his family. Now I have only seen Chavo in WWE so I am probably a little biased, but I think that AJ would win this match nonetheless.
