He's decent. That's about his ceiling. That's the problem I have with a lot of these indie darlings. They're decent, but that's about it, and people overrate the shit out of them.

I wouldn't say is so much a punishment as it is a reset button push. Get him out of the main event for a while and see if it helps his disconnect with the fans at all.
