NFL Week 16 LD

God this is going to be a scary game. I hope the Defense can make up for the surely lacking offense in Chicago. I am just about done with listening to Packer fans when I live in South Florida. <_<

Well he's better than the guys the Bears put out there pure and simple. My 12 year old could produce better at QB.If Forte was not injured, run the ball with Forte and keep McNabb strong to make a throw when he needs to.To late now...

:lmao: You didn't watch him when he was starting for the Vikes at the beginning of the season this year did you, McFlabb was under throwing receivers left & right, he's awful, they're better off with McCown

Donovan McNabb is basically the Matt Hardy of the NFL, he's a worthless lazy fat ass.

I remember watching his first pass as a Viking, it was an interception. :lmao:

On the topic of Matt Hardy, I suggest you guys watch his documentary Twist of Fate. Kinda makes you miss him when he was young.

I wish Chris Collinsworth improved his word choice sometimes. "Josh McCown so far had a massive success on this drive." That was a below-average drive at best.

I wish Bell could play like this every week. But their is a reason why he is behind Barber and Forte. Would be nice to see Chicago implement a three back system next season.

To add on to the McNabb discussion, he definitely is past his prime. Definitely not seeing a career resurrection in him like Kurt Warner. Throwing 39 yards an entire game was flat out terrible - injuries has robbed him of his mobility and now his accuracy is off. Best thing he can do is sign a 1 day contract with Philly and retire.

It's looking like the Lions didn't even need to win but I'm much happier making the playoffs with a win at home then relying on three other teams losing. Plus they have a good shot at the 5 seed now which would mean a first round game against either Dallas or NYG rather then New Orleans or San Fran. Plus they could avoid Green Bay until the NFC title game if it played out that way.

I can see Detroit going deep into the playoffs for the reasons you are saying. They have a great shot at the number 5 seed, and personally I think they will kill either Dallas or the Giants in the first round, even though they are on the road.

Whoever takes the 6 seed (likely Atlanta) has a great shot at beating the 3 seed (either SF or NO). That way, Detroit can avoid Green Bay in the second round, and can possibly end up facing either SF or NO, both of whom are quite beatable as well. They would be in tough against Green Bay in the NFC Championship game, but momentum can be a powerful thing, who knows what could happen in any single game. After all, KC beat Green Bay last week.

I think a NFC championship game appearance for the Lions is quite possible, and a victory is not out of the question. Unfortunately, though, that will likely bring them face to face with the Patriots. But hey, there's no shame in second place :)

The NFC is definitely the better conference this year. I could see any of the 6 playoff teams in the NFC catching fire and making a SB run. In the AFC I don't see that. Outside of Baltimore, New England, and Pitt none of the other teams that are in or will be in have much of a shot.

The thing that really sucks is that 4 of the Lions 5 losses came against teams that are in the NFC Playoffs against them. They could get hot, but the teams they will have to get hot against are Green Bay, Atlanta, New Orleans, San Francisco and the winner of the NFC East (they beat Dallas, but they could have easily lost that game). I do disagree that any of the 6 NFC teams could go on a run...I don't see Dallas or New York, whichever team makes it, getting very far. I think whichever team wins that division has to be considered the weakest division champion in the NFC, and might even be the underdog at home against whichever wildcard team they face, whether it ends up being Detroit or Atlanta. (whichever ends up with the #5 seed). I just cannot see either the Giants or Cowboys getting past the 2nd round, and think there is a decent chance they won't even get out of the 1st.

The Lions get absolutely no reprieve from their tough schedule. They might have ended up having the single toughest schedule in the entire NFL this year, and what's their reward? Have what will probably the toughest road to the Super Bowl. I would be happy that they are in the playoffs in any year, but looking at the schedule they have played, the teams on it, the fact that they are in the playoffs this year is nothing short of amazing.

Can anyone say "Baptism by fire"?

Man, I could not be more excited. I've had fucking dreams about this game throughout the week, lol. The first one was really bad, the second one was good, though. Hopefully the outcome is similar to my 2nd dream.

But yeah... this feels like a playoff game to the fullest extent.

I'll pulling for Atlanta tonight, mainly for Fantasy football reasons. I need a massive game from Turner, like 22 fantasy pts.

Outside of that one little blunder, the Saints looked fantastic in the 1st Half.

They get the ball to start the 2nd. Hopefully they can score a touchdown right away and start to put this game out of reach.

Oh, and Drew Brees is only 75 yards away from Marino's record. :D

Congratulations are in order. Who would have thought that at the beginning of the year that such an amazing accomplishment would be made? Seriously, me, a rookie fantasy player, wins his championship? Heroic stuff.

Oh, and Brees is pretty good too.
