I was honestly shocked that Toronto didn't get either 29 or 30. Yes I am from just east of Toronto and I have been to both 6 and 18, so maybe I am dreaming a bit. I think logically its a great idea...2 of the biggest matches ever in Mania history have occurred in T.O. (Hogan/Warrior and Hogan/Rock) so it makes sense to have a historic mania in a stadium where memorable moments have happened.

I agree with everything you just said, including the bit about LaBar. Probably one of the most arrogant internet personalities of all time, and hopefully the news about Wrestlemania 30 is indeed true.

There's really something special about MSG events. Wrestlemania XX had that MSG mystique to it, and whenever the WWE comes to MSG you KNOW you're gonna get a great crowd. There's talk of MetLife stadium replacing MSG as the marquee New York arena for WWE PPV's, but there's one problem with that. MetLife stadium may play host to NY Giants and NY Jets football games, but it's not REALLY a New York. It's more Jersey than anything, and that is actually very different. Plus, it's tradition for WM 30 to go MSG. Definitely wouldn't be an unpopular choice, even if they risk losing money.

As for Wrestlemania 29, I feel, just like somebody said previously, that the Superdome in New Orleans would be PERFECT for this. It's already a tourist destination, the stadium seats and sells a ton, having just hosted the National Title game, and it's a dome, so you don't have the risk of poor weather. And even if you did, NoLa is pretty nice in the Spring. It could be a great opportunity.

I was at Survivor Series this year at MSG, and to say that it was electric is an understatement.

However, if WM 29 is at MetLife which many signs are pointing too, that would seemingly cross MSG off the list. At Survivor Series, I spoke with a former TNA employee who's worked with affiliates with WWE before and he too stated the whole "WM will never be held in an arena again" thing. Not too mention, it wouldn't be realistic to hold it in the same market again, even if they do that for SummerSlam.

WM isn't a wrestling showcase anymore unfortunately, but an entertainment spectacular instead.

Dallas will happen one day. Also completely agree with the person who said the Superdome, that would appear imminent as well.

Also, I'm not so sure about baseball stadiums. Safeco worked because of its unique layout. Yankee Stadium or Citi Field (not Shea as many people said) would not suit the wrestling layout well, or at least, for the layout WWE would do with the whole set and everything.

Kane is not a spring chicken. His years in the WWE as a top dog/draw are as limited as Takers. I can't see WWE investing THAT much power in to Kane as he isn't a draw really. Kane, imo, has always been a tier 2 performer. He's never had that mystery or respect that Taker commands, and he never will...NOBODY will. Kane has NEVER "stolen" the show at ANY event. Taker has put on show of the year at Wrestlemania for the last 3 years in a row. He just ISN'T that good in the ring. HIs matches are slow and sub-par at best. If ANYBODY was going to stop Taker's streak, I believe it would be somebody that still has many years left so that WWE could benefit from that person stopping Taker. People have asked, when was the Taker's streak ever really in jeopardy. My answer is NEVER. I've never once fallen for a "false finish" at a Taker WM match. There has never been a reason to end the streak. If it's one thing the pro-wrestling industry learned from Goldberg's streak and the end of it, it's to make it count. The end of Goldberg's streak served NO purpose and accomplished NOTHING. I'm sure WWE doesn't want to repeat the same mistake WCW made. I understand and I agree with, the older wrestlers need to pave the way for the newer talent. So, if somebody does end Takers streak, it has to be somebody WWE can bank on to perform, stick with them and draw money. That person, isn't Kane. Not in my opinion.

If Vince could let his ego go for THREE FUCKING SECONDS, he could realize that just because you get in before the Superbowl doesn't necessarily mean it's a win. If I were Vince, I'd help invest in getting some kind of dome built into the MetLife Stadium and start a new tradition of moving hosting Wrestlemania STILL in New York, but just at MetLife. Besides, if any of you live in New York in April, you know the weather here is unpredictable as fuck in March, April, and May. We could have 60's on that day, or a Nor'Easter blizzard. I think snow and cold temperatures would be something much more difficult to contend with than some rain. There are men AND women who wrestle on their roster in little to no clothing. If you think football players have it bad in winter months contending snow storms, imagine being outside on a cold day and wrestling a 30 minute match when there's snow falling. Wrestlemania 29 should be hosted at one of the locations mentioned in some of the blurbs previous to this one or any number of these locations. Nashville, Vancouver, New Orleans (they're STILL recovering from Hurricane Katrina, mind you), return to Atlantic City or Vegas for an old school Wrestlemania, or Boston. I would LOVE an old school Wrestlemania in Atlantic City or Vegas.

I just do not want to see Undertaker face somebody irrelevant and unimportant. Watching this from a fan's perspective and not an "online WWE critic", I want to see somebody who has a fan base, somebody who has a big reaction, and somebody who would draw me into a match. I do not care whatsoever about having a young guy nobody would care about if they were fired beat the Undertaker and watch it do something to their career. That's not exciting. That's WWE's situation to deal with, not something I pay for to steal usual favorite match of the year.

For example, let's say something magical happens.

If you're living in your "WWE critic" mindset, you want to see Undertaker vs. Sheamus/Ryder/Dolph Ziggler/The Miz/Cody Rhodes/etc. because it could do wonders for their career.

Now as a fan, would Undertaker vs. Dolph Ziggler attract you as much as for lets say The Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar/CM Punk/Chris Jericho?

MetLife Stadium is one of the best facilities in all of sports. I've worked as one of the PA Announcers in the press box there. It is state-of-the-art in every way possible, and it was built with an open-air environment in mind.

There's a reason there's no retractable roof on it, other than just that. It would have cost almost another $100 million just to build, when the stadium already cost over $1 billion. That's not logical at all, with all due respect.

If they want a roof, pick another venue. That simple.

It didnt make sense to me either. I always assumed WM30 would be in New York to appease the fans who are expecting it at MSG. Toronto is another odd one, if they planned to do 29 there then why is Edge being inducted this year, make sense to wait 12 months.

At this point I would be willing to watch Undertaker vs. anybody. At this stage in his career, the Undertaker has put over more than his fair share of wrestlers (a ton of these guys have ended up wasting and leaving WWE anyway), he has had more classic matches them some guys have had matches, and he's only there for about a match a year anyway. This is one instance where he could main event Mania with a returning Simon Dean and I'd still watch. Happily.

I like the latest incarnation of Kane. Coming off a feud with Cena the Big Red Machine could be hotter than a pistol. Although I've seen Kane/Taker enough over the years to get my fill, something still captivates me about the idea of one more "Ends All" feud between these two. They've had a special association to one another throughout the years that I think more than warrants us fans wanting so.e closure.

As far as a young guy taking on the Streak, I really wouldn't mind seeing it. This is contingent upon to factors though:
a) They don't end the Streak. It's not even about Undertaker anymore, his winning record at Mania is special. It'll never happen again.
b) Not this year. It'd take a newer guy, even one as talented as Barrett or Sheamus, the entire road to Wrestlemania to build this one properly and its too late this year to get it going. A guy with some star power could build one for this year, but a new guy would be tough.

Triple H wouldn't be a terrible choice as he's such a solid performer at least it'd guarantee you a good match. He doesn't have the same history with Taker that Kane does, but Trips doesn't usually break a sweat trying to build hype.

Say in the future, or by chance the WWE decided to put for WM undertaker vs resurrected kane, does anyone else think the WWE would use the 2012 angle, in some way to fuel these 2 supernatural monsters of the WWE to collide. If kane goes on a path of destruction from now until mania, crushing cena if that ever did happen, with kane exercising his humanity and looking to put one final nail in his brothers coffin. Kane saying the reason he exercised his humanity, is to finally put his brother to rest who he feels is on his last legs. It would complete kane's conquest, has the one who finally took taker's soul to hell. But before the rivalry starts, kane cuts a promo saying he has gone through the roster, he as destroyed many opponents and he is the dominant force of the WWE now, until undertaker comes out.

Kane saying when he beats his brother it will signal the end of the world for the WWE, that there is no one that can stop him now. That kane would say when he ends the streak, it would give kane the key's to the WWE. Taker saying he has come back from the dead to stop kane bringing hell on earth to the WWE, and someone has to put an end to kane's search for total destruction. That taker has put all his energy into this one match to stop kane, kane seems to be hell-bent on replacing his brother and doing more damage and misery to the locker room.

We would even have the WWE locker room during wrestlemania, going up to the undertaker, like orton cena rock HHH and a few more even diva's is well, saying to the undertaker good luck against the demon from hell. This would actually indicate even some of the locker-room are worried of the thought of resurrected kane defeating his brother, and the results of the defeat that could await the deadman and the WWE.

I have been saying that it would not be a good idea for taker to face kane, because of the amount of time taker has been out. But my other half of my brain says otherwise, if they let it all go at mania we could get the complete mania match, that is story-driven. But for the first time the undertaker is no longer seen has the stronger wrestler going into the match, and there could be so much on the line. But glen and mark would have to do so much training, to pull off a match of this magnitude that can live up to the story-line.

I do think it will be HHH vs undertaker, but at the sametime this could be an amazing chance to really end the rivalry of the undertaker and kane and bring it full circle, with something so destructive we would remember just like HBK and HHH. Remember somethings need a trilogy to complete it, and 50/50 says to me undertaker vs kane need a trilogy because of the deep backstory of this iconic rivalry

Pretty sure they feuded for the upteenth time only 15-18 months ago when Kane was thWorld Heavywweight Champion and Kane cleanly beat Taker at two ppvs in a row. They have already met twice at Mania, and feuded in between opn and off for 14 years. NOBDY WANTS TO SEE UNDERTAKER VS KANE III. Taker is not capable of carrying anybody to great matches anymore, he is the one being carried. He is old, injured and really needs to get his 20-0 and retire off to the sunset. Hell, he may as well alreadyc be retired, he only returns now for the 6 and 7 figure paydays, while the younger guys who do the hard work night after night and then get left off the Mania card olike Sheamus and Bryan last year.

The rivalry is over between them, unless a son of Undertaker character and gimmick is brought in, I cannot see any other possible way for Undertaker to lose at Wrestlemania or have anybody send him out as a loser.

Considering WWE has buried him and killed him off on tv before, why would next time be any different.?????? At the end of the day, HHH is one of a handful who can carry Taker to a wrestlemania match worthy of being on the card. McMahon knows this and Taker knows this. Wrestlemania 28 will be Undertaker vs HHH unless Taker cannot return in time, but he will be there, with HBK serving as special Referee

I'm not lookin forward to this at all if it were to happen, i really believe that undertaker needs to face someone else someone new, someone fresh, someone he has never faced b4 ever, not triple h for the 3rd time, not kane for the 3rd time, someone young who needs a real good match at wrestlemania that lets be honest they will lose cause undertaker isnt goin to, in my opinion the only person of worth to do it was shawn michaels and is prrobably the only person i would have been ok with doing it. Undertaker needs to face someone like Cody Rhodes, Sheamus, Wade Barrett, dolph ziggler(tho i believe he would need a new finisher to make the match worth watchin at all if we wannt to actually believe he stands a chance), del rio too, but out of all of those the 3 id prefer to see are rhodes, sheamus and barrett, cody needs something else to really push him into the world title picture and that woudl be perfect, Sheamus just really needs somethin since they are using him like garbage recently, and is it me or did wwe just completely forget that it was wade barrett's nexus who kayfabe caused the undertakers last real run on full time televison and nothin was ever done about it, i mean i know wwe has a history of doin things like that (anonymous gm perfect example).

it doesnt really matter where Mania 30 is held, just know it will be huge with as many old timers from Manias past brought back to be ringside, involved in skits and maybe a match or two. Hell it will be a 5 hour Mania like Wrestlemania 20 and hopefully a Wrestlemania Gimmick Battle Royal to honour the guys who have created many WErestlemania moments and hopefully a respect period honouring the guys who have passed over the past 30 years in a video tribute, making the night so much more emotional and special to the fans and the talent.

If their looking for an open roof stadium for Mania 30, I would suggest THE ROSE BOWL STADIUM. It has a lot of history, great weather there, and could fit close to 100,000 people for a wrestling event. I'm surprised it's never been used, but it seems like a decent choice for a Wrestlemania. Plus, I don't even live in the U.S. so I'm not choosing it do to it's location. I just think it would provide a great enviroment for such an event.

Cowboys Stadium isn't out as host because it was never in. I said this in the nonsensical "29 and 30 Locations" thread and I'll say it again. Madison Square Garden WILL host WrestleMania 30. PERIOD. Not sure why everyone is getting bent out of shape about the "tradition" aspect of having 30 at MSG. WWE would be crazy if they held it there. You're talking about losing 50-60 Thousand people by not having it at a stadium. That's a lot of money to just throw away because of tradition.

The WWE and namely Vince really needs to get over themselves/himself. It's great to think big and outside the box but sometimes less is more. Instead of trying to have this over the top, Ringling Bros.'esq type showcase, why not go back to basis, give the fans who have been loyal through the downtimes and low ratings a reward for their loyalty and not give into the whims of trying to beat the NFL to something for a change. Dear Vince, remember the last time you tried to go up against the NFL? Yeah, we do too. And we're trying to forget it.

WrestleMania XXX should be a going back to tradition event. Where it showcases wrestling over all the pomp and circumstance that we've come to know. I'm glad Cowboys Stadium is reportedly out because they don't NEED the WWE or Vince to make them any more well known than what they are. Jerry Jones is a smart businessman but I don't believe he's interesting in hosting a WrestleMania and he shouldn't be. What's he to gain? Not much that he doesn't already have. I certainly hope it's returned back to MSG. Maybe a snow storm/blizzard next year will convince McMahon that not all of his ideas are golden.

how about this, after wrestlemania, taker makes appearences ALMOST every week, but does not wrestle for all of them, only some, then start the rivalry from there and bring all their past into it, as kane only entered the WW'F' to take out the undertaker, then at mania 30 which is at texas(takers real hometown)) have the mach end in a no contest where both taker and kane ar 'burned' to death in a buried alive mach and they both get buried, ending both their wrestling days forever. great way to end as kanes goals will be fulfilled and taker is still undefeated at wrestlemania, get paul bearer in the mix aswell. Also, for wm29, get taker as the american bad ass and for wm30 get him in his original attire with the purple tie and wripped sleeves, he actually looked like a 'dead' undertaker and looked scary with his eye makeup shit he wore then, epic undertaker ending!
