Alot of people arent happy about the HHH/Taker match again this year. Id like to see something different to but... The plan for WWE in the beggining of the year (2011) was to have CENA VS UNDERTAKER. Then The Rock/Cena match was made. So I can understand Taker-HHH.

I DONT like the idea of Taker vs an upancomer i.e. (rhodes, ziggler, barrett ) The Undertaker WM match is bigger than life now. Only the top WWE has to offer faces Taker. So as of right now the only superstars that would make sense is Cena,HHH, Orton, Jericho, or maybe Punk

This is an idea I had last year around about the time when HHH was in charge yet having his problems with the Board of Directors with Superstars supposedly becoming chaotic and WWE becoming a mess. The whole walkout idea was good until the next night when Vince randomly returned to announce to Triple H that he'd been replaced as GM of RAW by Johnny Ace. I felt like someone else who possibly works backstage and is known to by fans that don't even know the company inside out e.g. Stephanie McMahon could have told HHH. Instead we were given a Vince return for about 10 minutes and since then haven't seen him.

For me I think this would have been better and still can work but it would have given Vince a lot more to run with and reasoning to get involved:

After Stephanie announces to Triple H that he's been replaced by Johnny Ace we are given the same sort of TV that we have seen since the actual replacement took place. HHH appearing less each week and ending his random feud with Kevin Nash. With all this conspiracy talk and memories of Vince being made look a fool by CM Punk over the Summer, HHH is now in fans eyes the "Chairman" so to speak of WWE. HHH returns to do the duty of which he did last week on RAW by telling Johnny Ace that he's been fired. However Undertaker returns and stares down HHH. Both of them look at the WrestleMania high in the arena and HHH goes to walk away. Vince's theme hits and out he comes. HHH looks stunned and stays in the ring now that Vince is back. Undertaker stays out of it as HHH and Vince exchange words off the mic. Then they both remember that in the ring with them is The Undertaker. Vince and HHH turn around and Taker grabs them both by the throat and attempts a double chokeslam which works on Vince however HHH kicks at Taker and the two staredown. The show ends with them just standing over the Owner of WWE and HHH's Father-in-Law. This gives us so many questions to be answered on the next edition on RAW and anticipation to tune in to find out why Vince is back and why Taker is back.

On the following week's RAW HHH cuts a promo saying that he doesn't want to compete anymore and that he just wants to take control of RAW as a fan. This brings out Taker who says that HHH is too scared to face him. He knows he can't beat him and that's why he won't face him for a 3rd time. This finally makes HHH hit-out by saying he'll face Taker. Taker is about to say that he wants HHH to put something on the line too until he's interrupted by Vince. Vince wants to know why Taker chokeslammed him last week and to this Taker reveals that he has always disliked Vince and the fact that Triple H in his eyes "married his way to the top". On his own claims Taker without Stephanie or Vince he would have failed as evident over the Summer failing to keep control. Tensions now flare between Vince and Taker. Leading to the question why did Vince come back? Vince says he's sick and tired of HHH thinking he controls everything and that he thinks he's the boss. He's the boss and will make the final Undertaker vs. Triple H at WrestleMania: Streak vs. Career on one condition. He is the Special Referee.

I really feel this would actually intrigue all of us, as it would show that Vince has tensions with both superstars. And how can he screw his own daughter's husband? How can he put an end to perhaps the greatest accomplishment in his companies history (The Streak). Everything would be on the line. Thoughts?

The best option for Taker's 20th, in my opinion, would be Michaels v. Taker v. HHH. Taker beat Michaels twice. He beat HHH twice. There are so many amazing stories you can tell in this match. HHH and Michaels would team up at first to finally take the Deadman down at Wrestlemania, but eventually clash when it came to deciding WHO was going to be the one to take him down at the big event, leading to them fighting each other as well.

Plus, the match would just be great.

With the Undertaker already locked into a match at this year’s WrestleMania, it is never too early to look ahead at what is in store for the Dead Man next year. If he were to come back for one more big match on the grandest stage WWE has to offer, who better to send him off than Sting?

Fans have talked about a possible matchup between Undertaker and Sting ad nauseam for the last two years. There were rumors about the “2-21-11″ videos being about Sting coming to WWE, even though it was clearly for Undertaker’s return.

Sting did an interview with CNY KISS FM 107.5 in New York promoting TNA when he was asked about the possibility of being at WrestleMania last year and whether he would like to do a match in WWE with the Undertaker.

I’ve had great conversations with him (Vince McMahon) over the years and been real close on probably three or four different occasions of going up there. But, there was always a need met or a desire of mine met with WCW and now with TNA, so I stay.”

–snip–

I’d have to say the top (match), and it’s all over Twitter, I might as well just comment on it – Undertaker. Wrestling fans have wanted to see Sting vs. Undertaker for years. And, I think between his gimmick and mine, it could be pretty cool.

Now, here we are with another Undertaker-Triple H match in store for WrestleMania 28. No disrespect to the match, but we have already seen it two times before with Undertaker winning both of them.

If Undertaker were to return next year—and as of right now there is no reason to think he won’t—there would have to be someone special for him to wrestle again. He has been spoiled over the last four years wrestling Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

The only other name that WWE could get for Undertaker that would be bigger is Brock Lesnar. But who is to say that Lesnar won’t come back to wrestle Steve Austin? Lesnar talked about it a few months ago in an interview with ESPN.com to promote his appearance in WWE ’12.

As great as the spectacle of these two stars would be, I do have some trepidation about the quality of the match. Neither wrestler is in pristine physical condition, nor can they do many of the things that they once did.

Of course, I said the same thing last year about Undertaker and Triple H. That one turned out pretty well for them and the fans.

The time for talking about this fantasy match has passed. It is time to start doing something to make it happen. There is one year to make preparations for WrestleMania 29. As long as Sting can get out of his TNA contract, the match he has dreamed about should be the final one for the Undertaker.

as much as I love the idea of Undertaker vs Sting, I think the chance of that happening has passed. Sting, and this is just my opinion, has "deteriorated" wrestling ability-wise more then Taker. I havent watched TNA really since the Sting FLair match, so I could be way off, but I just wasnt feeling Sting anymore as a contender for Taker's streak. And that's not bad mouthing Sting, that man has had an absolutely amazing career, and was one of the greatest in ring performers. I think last year may have been the final chance for a match between the two that would live up to Taker's past several WM matches. Still would have loved to see it.

Now, the match I would love to see as the final, but I know its even more impossible, would be Undertaker vs Great Muta. I've seen alot of similarities between the two, and I think that would open up a whole new side of wrestling for the average, current fan. Both men played a kind of supernatural character, even as the genre was starting to get away from gimics. They both have shown an ability to keep a finger on the pulse of the fan base. Both men never really had a face turn when they started getting over, the fans just got into them. As they got older, both men have been able to vary thier styles as they couldn't quite do what they were known for, mixing it up to suit them. Now, as I had said, both men have gotten older, and are not the equals of what they became legendary for, but they can still hang with thier brands' current young bucks when needed. A WWE/AJPW cross over would be absolutely fantastic, mixing up the styles, and maybe inject a bit of life into wwe, break this pg era. Maybe I'm just more of a fan of king's road and strong style, but that would be the big match I would love to see. A man can dream, right?

I think the undertaker has 2 WM's left after this year, I think he will fight Sting in his last match at WM 30, I think Sting will finally understand that even though he never wants to work for Vince that Wrestling the Undertaker will bring his carrer to a close and going out on the highest point possible. Seeing as TNA and WWE arn't trying to kill eachother and Rick Flair is going to be at WM this year it looks like Sting Vs Undertaker is able to happen even if Sting is under contract.

Sting made it without being in WWE but in the end there is no greater match then WM against the Undertaker, Sting will step into the grandest stage of Wrestling and take it to the Undertaker.

I might get alot of heat for this, but the only 2 matches I'd pay to see with the undertaker at mania are with cena or ziggler..cenas a no brainer he's the man the match would be epic..however with ziggler i'm a huge fan of him may be a bias view but if they're going to push this show off gimmick, what better way than to have him end the streak and brag about it..this will make him the true main eventer he ahould be and allow him to
be the top heel in the wwe

Also to the point stings past it the match would be a fail and leave everyone disappointed

This Is one of those Classic Dream Match Ups No DOUBT! With Both Their Original gimmicks and the fact that their each the poster boys for WWE and WCW it could have been amazing, espically in both their primes. I would have maybe liked to see it last year, or maybe even this year, but not as a send off and I agree with those who say the time has passed!

Honestly if it ever became apart he was having his very last mania match and a big send of i'd rather see it with:
Kane w/Paul Bearer
Stone Cold Steven Austin(Never Wrestled at Mania)
The Rock(Never Wrestled at Mania)
Chris Jericho(Never Wrestled at Mania)
Brock Lesnar(Never Wrestled at Mania)
CM Punk(Never Wrestled at Mania)
heck even John Cena(Never Wrestled at Mania) makes more sense, seems more plausible, and is in better shape to give him a better match!

Of course it should be Sting. There's a lot of things we wish could happen, but never does. Taker vs Triple H again? That's incredibly boring. I didn't care last year and I don't care this year. But there isn't anyone else currently on the WWE roster they can use, so Triple H is the only choice. It sucks, but it is what it is. In what is more than likely his final match, we all want to see someone else.

I'd love to see Undertaker vs. Sting...in 1999.

Look, I've never been a huge Sting guy, but I want 'Taker to go out with a bang, and I don't think he could do that with Sting.

I'm of the opinion that both Shawn Michaels' and Taker's last matches should have been with each other.

it wouldve been so epic if sting had been takers opponent last year...after taker returns to the ring the lights would go out and the promo that everyone thought was stings would run again with a confused look on takers face...then it reveals a crawling scorpion...slowly teasing til sting appears in the raptures...or better yet have a crow perched in the ring with a baseball bat.... not sure how sting could turn that down...he couldve gotten a rock type of deal 4 matches and the rest filled with feuds and promos.

I think Sting will surely make some kind of appearance on wwe, since his admission of wanting to have a match with undertaker and performing at a wrestlemania I am sure he will make an appearance very soon

Undertaker vs. Sting.... wish it could have happened back at Mania 18 along with Austin vs. Hogan. I wouldn't mind seeing this match, but I would also like to see the Undertaker vs. cena, Lesnar, and possibly one more with Michaels. I doubt all of this will ever come to be, but I would like to see Cena, I guess in Undertakers final match, only to see Cena tap out to Undertaker. I wouldn`t want Undertaker to lose. I think if Mr. Wrestlemania, himself, HBK, couldn`t beat the Undertaker then I feel nobody deserves to beat him at Mania.

Even in his prime in the NWA and the early days of WCW, Sting was nothing special. He's a mediocre ring worker and a mediocre talker, and does the single worst Sharpshooter in the history of professional wrestling. Personally I don't feel he's worthy to wrestle the Undertaker on an edition of SmackDown, let alone being a challenger to Undertaker's streak at WrestleMania.

In paper this match would be great but in reality how long would they go on with the match.

Undertaker and Sting are both worn out, teared up, and don't forget their ages now. The two of could have had an awesome match a few years ago but now they need to take care of their health.

Also, it is rumored that this will be Taker last match in WM and in wrestling wise cause Taker is smart to just relax and live life. So, should Sting cause there is also speculations that he might also be finished with wrestling as well.

Lets think about the real question we have to consider regarding the Undertakers streak. It's not if sting/taker would be a great match. Its who is left? Honestly, what really great matches are their? Sting/Taker would be great but for the story, not really the match itself. But then who is left? Cena? Not a match i have any interest in seeing, period. Jericho? I love him, but its not a match i see Jericho in. Kane? it's my third pick, but i have two better ones. Sting is my second pick, the lead up would be great. My first pick has to be Steve Austin. Two of the biggest characters of all time. Arguably the toughest wrestlers of all time. Why shouldn't sting be takers final opponent? Because Stone Cold would be better.

This match sounds good on paper... if that paper was around in 1999. If this match ever occurred, it would be for nostalgia purposes only. Sting hasn't stepped foot in the WWE. Not only shouldn't this match happen, Sting doesn't deserve to headline a Wrestlemania. It's a bit different having The Rock return after helping establish the WWE's attitude era, but Sting hasn't done jack shit for the WWE; he doesn't deserve a Wrestlemania moment unless it's the Hall of Fame segment. Why do so many people want this match to take place? I'll be honest, it sounds bad. Both Undertaker and Sting are phenomenal wrestlers the fact that both of them are well past their respective primes, this match is just screaming bad to me. Sting is no Shawn Michaels. He doesn’t have the ability to make anyone he’s in the ring with look good like he used to. It would be quite different if they had run into each other in their past and to my knowledge, they have not so there is no need for a Wrestlemania match-up between the two.

Worst Troll attempt ever. Sting can at least still do variations on moves. Undertaker does his standard move set, then if he does anything big like a dive over the ropes he has to wait 10 minutes to recover. That match against HHH last year took way too long.

I'm very much a "vocal" TNA fan, and as much as i hate to see sting go to the wwe, i think he owes it to himself and not his fans to be part of wrestlemania (win or lose) and tbh i think dixie would want him to go too.

This whole sting undertaker fantasay matchup would have been nice say 7 or 8 years ago!! To me IMO this match has kinda lost steam for me!!! I dont wanna see these guys go at it past their prime!! This match if it were to happen should have happened at wm23 at the latest! I love sting i do an incredible performer and storyteller!! This match needs to happen it does but not now just my two cents

I would love a Sting vs Taker match. The Crow Sting would be perfect as a dark rival for The Deadman but with Sting under contract with TNA I dnt see how it could happen. Only way I can think of is if WWE and TNA make some type of agreement to work together and they do some from of a WWE vs TNA WrestleMania but for that to happen TNA would have to step its game up majorly.

Why would Sting go to WWE after all this time of resisting and he's made it abundantly clear he career will end in TNA same with Kurt Angle.

Personally don't think it would be that great, Sting's matches are very tiring to watch, he's in worse shape aerobically then Taker and Taker is shot in his knees so it would be a sleeper match.

You obviously have no idea what storytelling is, he's meant to be slow and he's been there for 20yrs wrestling fulltime for most of it, and it took ages to get up same with his match against HBK cause "he landed on his head or shoulder" in both occasions, you don't think that didn't knock him loopy for a few minutes?

But thats your opinion and mine is mine :)

Personally i like the Triple H Taker match it was the only decent match of Mania.
Sure there previous encounter was alot better but hey they aren't fulltime performers anymore and the best years were 5-10yrs ago yet they can still put everyone else on the roster to shame in just 1 match of the year.

Well, the way it's looking, taker will be facing HHH this year. But personally, Taker will pull it off. I'd love to see one rematch against Randy Orton. The viper vs the phenom, seven years since there last WM encounter. Randy Orton ends it with a punt to the skull, oh yeah!!

There's a reason why sting hasn't faced Undertaker... Why would he make his first and probably only WWE match a losing effort again Undertaker? His one and only WWE match would just become a statistic on Undertaker's record.

Also, although this looks good on paper, has anybody thought as why this match would actually make sense? There are a few directions of which you could make this work, such as feuding on the basis of that they were legends in either major promotion during the 90s, but to be honest, why would they want to end their careers against somebody that neither of them ever had history or relation with?

Austin never faced Hogan, but did Austin face Hogan in his final match at Mania? No, he faced The Rock. Why? Because story-wise it actually made sense!
