well like everyone else a Austinn/Punk match would be gud but anything can happen in a year for example this time last year Punk wasnt the top guy in the company he was a upper mid-card type of guy so whos saying in a years time Punk will be on top like he is now,

but I think if WWE should wait until WM30 because if Taker wants to Wrestle again after Wrestlemania 28 then it will be Undertaker vs John Cena so Austin will play second string to Undertaker I think WWE should leave this match for 2 more years so Punk can be built up even more as the top babyface or even a top heel again which would work even better as Punk Heel then as a Face

There are two reasons I say no to this scenario:

1.If you believe the dirtsheets, Steve Austin doesn't want anything to do with this year's WrestleMania because he doesn't want to play second fiddle to The Rock.

2.More importantly, the Punk-Austin match will undoubtedly take place in Texas. And it seems highly likely to me that WrestleMania 31 in 2015 will be at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, so it's unlikely WrestleMania 29 would take place in Houston at Reliant Stadium. Note that 2015 is the earliest WrestleMania that can be in Dallas, due to the NCAA basketball tournament being there in 2013 and 2014. (I doubt WWE would move it forward or back a few weeks just to accomodate a stadium.)

So that means CM Punk vs. Steve Austin is most likely to happen at WrestleMania 31. This is good for the WWE on two fronts. First, it gives them two or three more years to make CM Punk as big a star as possible before they start the hype for this match, depending on if they announce it a year in advance. And secondly, it gives them some space between the Rock/Cena match and the Punk/Austin match. There's no reason to have them in back-to-back years when you can't possibly offer that kind of match every year. Why rush it? especially if you're going to build the Punk/Austin match for a year too.

So you have two years to make CM Punk a huge name, then at WrestleMania XXX Steve Austin is the guest star or whatever you want to call him, he gets involved with Punk, and you announce the match for WrestleMania 31 shortly after. While Rock/Cena is a bigger match with bigger stars, I think Punk/Austin would have a better build because Austin could actually be around for more than three episodes of Raw and a PPV before the Road to WrestleMania 31.

You guys are insane if you would want to see a Punk/Austin match beyond this year. Austin is already 47. No way I want to see a 50 year old go up against Punk, even if it is Austin. Punk deserves better.

Let me put to bed the whole SCSA-C.M. Punk match idea.

Get this straight-STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN WILL NEVER WRESTLE AGAIN!

Why do you think he is retired? Because he received a serious neck injury, and needs a second operation, which would mean the end of his wrestling career.

Austin has been asked many times if he will do a match again. Austin says "No" for two reasons.
First, he can't, because to take bumps mean that he could land on his hand and neck, or re-injure his neck. SCSA risks paralysis if he wrestles a match.
Secondly, he doesn't NEED to. SCSA has enough wealth to never need to work again, and seems to enjoy life after wrestling. I'm sure he would be up to doing an occasional match, if he could, but he can't.

There is more chance of Edge returning than a SCSA ring return.

Besides, I saw on "Tough Enough" last year, they had John Cena do a session, and later, "Stone Cold" was asked by a contestant who is one person he wishes he had had a match with, and "Stone Cold" looked over at John Cena. So, if Austin was going to fight anyone, it would be John Cena. Since they are having Rock-Cena, I doubt they would book Cena again against another AE favourite.

You fanboys say that you love and care for "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Yet you want him to risk spending the rest of his life in a wheelchair so that you can indulge your fantasies. How selfish! SCSA isn't some performing monkey. He is a real person, and while I haven't always liked the guy, I don't wish permanent disability to any person. Yet you so-called "fans" of his, want him to wrestle for your own selfish ends. Incredible!:banghead:

If SCSA were to wrestle, it could only happen two ways.

(a) He be in a multi-man tag-team match (6-or-8 Men). SCSA would simply have to tag, stomp and punch, give a Stunner, pin or tag out. That's it. That's all he can do. Anything else is a massive risk.

(b) SCSA could only do a one-on-one match if he did a match similar to his one against Eric Bischoff at "No Way Out 2003". In other words, a squash match. Austin would stomp, kick, punch, give Stunner and pin. The opponent could offer no offence (as Austin taking even one bump onto his neck could put him in a chair).

Now, would you want to see "Stone Cold" Steve Austin v C.M. Punk at any Wrestlemania where Austin would dominate in a three-minute match, where Punk is made to look like a jobber? No, you wouldn't. But there is no other option. It's that or risk the health of one of their biggest Legends.

Remember Bret Hart v Mr McMahon at Wrestlemania 26? This is what the match would be similar to. A lot of stalling. A lot of holds, and then Austin dominance. Austin can't take a GTS, and even an Anaconda Vice is perilous to his fragile neck. Bret Hart wasn't up to his WM26 match, and Austin will be the same.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin is a lot of things, including a smart businessman, and he knows that the risk of injury far outweighs any payday that may be gained. Austin is no fool. He knows his neck better than you or I do.

And you know what, he seems happy with his place in life. I have read that he is content with doing TE, and the ocassional appearance on the mike with WWE. He is a fan now, no longer a participant. Austin isn't a Ric Flair or Hulk Hogan, who can't walk away. He cares how fans remember him. So, let him have his retirement, if you truly care about him.

One more thing, how do you know Punk will have the "anti-hero" persona in a year's time. He may have changed again, and it no longer make as much sense to have "Anti-Hero" vs "Anti-Hero".

Maybe you been watching "Rocky Balboa" too many times.

I was thinking the same thing about Austin interfering somehow in this match with Punk and Jericho. I could see Stephanie being in Jericho's corner as the girl in the video who is the one behind the whole jericho return. I could see her in the ring going to KO Punk with the title while the ref is out, then hearing the glass breaking. Austin could come down, while Steph runs away, he could stun Jericho and aid Punk in the win. Then after the match in the celebration Punk refuses a beer to which Austin replies with a stunner and celebrates by himself. I could definetly see this happening no matter what Austin has said about not having any part in Mania this year. Then I could see punk and Austin the next night on raw making a match for Mania 29. while starring at each other jericho could come out on nowhere and attack both men, to keep his current feud with Punk the main story at the present time. I would love to see this scenerio happen. I believe austin has said on occasions that he would like to do one more match. A match against punk at Mania seems the perfect fit for a final austin match. It would be the Cena-Rock of Mania 29 and I believe would draw even better then those two at mania 28.

i agree that this match will happen at WM 29 but I don't think SC will be involved in Punk's match this year. I don't think this match will get a year long hype like Rock and Cena, maybe they'll start a rivalry at Summer Slam and keep it going to WM

Huge post

Austin said last year that he could do 2 years if he had to, but he wants to be able to hunt in 10-20 years time, he's not talking about 2 years of squash matches. So 1 match would be fine and Punks a safe worker.

Hell no to a Cena/Austin match, if you're worried about Austin's neck, you can rule Cena out as his opponent right at the top of the list along with The Great Khali.

WWE have been very open for a few years now about Triple H and Stephanie being married, i don't see how you could get Stephanie into Jericho's corner, if she wanted Punk sorted out wouldn't she go to her husband?, its not like he can't handle himself.

I think you don't know how many times CM Punk has botched the GTS. He nailed Kane with one and nearly broke his nose. That shows how much safe a worker he really is.

Who has Cena injured? Tell me any one move he does which can injure his neck? Albeit that legdrop because it can be eliminated but do you think a GTS would harm less to the neck than an AA? ()

Now onto the OP, I don't think this match is going to happen unless SCSA agrees to do a 12-15 min match which I doubt he would. I don't think they'd let Punk be squashed in a 3 min match or beat SCSA in a 3 min match. It's a lose-lose situation because the match will be a clusterfuck though the storyline would be great.

I do believe Punk/Austin will happen at one Wrestle Mania I'm not sure if WWE will save that kind of match for Wrestle Mania 30 to allow them some time for Punk to get a couple of BIG Wrestle mania wins and have him dog out Austin over a year or have Punk and Austin do some kind of backstage promo at WM28 and start something from that leading to 29, personally I like the fact WWE announced Rock/Cena a year in advance and wouldn't mind WWE doing the same thing every year announcing one main event a year ahead.

That's actually a great idea. So if Punk beats Jericho at this Wrestlemania, let him beat another Attitude Era star at Wrestlemania 29 then CM Punk can say how all the WWE Stars now have taken down the Attitude Era. Punk beat Y2J, Cena beat the Rock, and so on. Then all the sudden glass shatters and then it's Punk vs Austin at WM30. That'd be huge match. Attitude Era vs PG Era. Punk vs Austin.

Here's my crazy thought going into WM28. Do we really need UT/HHH 3? no. Do we need UT/SM 3? No. He beat them both twice......but he never beat them together. How much more unpredictable would it be to have SM come back for one more match and have UT vs. DX in a handicap WM28 match? Think of the possibilities. Please give me your thoughts

I could definately see a Punk/Austin match at WM 29, or maybe even another big PPV like SummerSlam. If we are to believe wrestlers talking trash on twitter or facebook leads to a match(as apparently it did in the case of Jericho/Punk), then eventually it will happen. I believe Punk said it best when he said he'd be the perfect antagonist for Austin's gimmick with his Straight Edge lifestyle. WWE and Austin NOT taking advantage of such a potentially money making match wouldn't make sense IMO. I'd say it's only a matter of time, since the seeds have been sown so to speak for this fued. The promos cut alone in the fued would be priceless. so needless to say I wanna see it occur at some point...

for this feud it's an reversment of situation, Taker is at the place of Shawn michaels 2 years ago,and HHH at the place of Taker when he refused to fight for an third match at WM.
It's like an role game, funny at the base.

Undertaker Undertaker Undertaker Streak Streak Streak! I cant take it anymore. I'm sick of it. I have nothing but respect for the deadman. But can we just kill off the Undertaker He can only wrestle one match a year, So let him go with some dignity, Lets not let him end up like a Brett Farve, Michale Jordan so on and so forth. Undertaker vs Triple H for 3rd time is kinda nuts, But lets go with it, They do this they better build and hype this match up somthing special, And Taker and Triple H tear the roof off because last year's bout between the two was to me lower than my expectations. So hopefully they step it up this year. John Cena is prolley and most likey right now in the WWE that would have the chance at ending the streak. and if rock lose to cena at wrestlemaina this year to pass the tourch. like andre did for hogan. Cena will be the man to end the streak. I'm not a cena fan, But he bust his ass.

The ONLY way this match between UT and HHH works now...is if its a Last Man Standing match.

The two of them went at it in a no DQ match last time, so this one HAS to be bigger and badder.
A "normal" match would fail between them as they're both getting on and I dont believe taker could be carried that far through a normal match now.

This whole feud has started because HHH was the last man standing last time. He beat Taker but he was stood at the end. He walked out. He was able to leave. So the only way this works is for one man to be incapacitated at the end. The only way this works now as far as a match goes is for one man to be knocked out at the end - make it a last man standing match WWE. :D

This is how I would book it.

The expected way this will pan out, will be Taker stating that he would retire if HHH declined the rematch.

An alternate story would be letting a couple of weeks play out, with HHH still refusing. Taker would have to do something bold, aka threaten to retire, torment HHH, attack HBK, etc. Then a week or two before Mania, Vince makes a return to RAW, and explains to HHH, how he should look past what's best for business. Vince will tell HHH that he wants the old HHH back, the cerebral assassin. From this, we would have HHH accept Taker's offer. This would also be a great way to bring back Vince. This is just a rough idea, there is allot more that can be done with this angle.

But in the end, this match will play out to be a classic.

I would love Wrestlemania to present Undertaker on the stage inside a Coffin (after this year). No appearences, no build, no nothing. Every year Undertaker turns up and someone challenges him there and then to end the streak.

This way he could preserve the wear and tear on his body and go 25-0 and beyond. The big sell would be 'who' is going to challenge him.

I don't think Triple H should end the streak... by the way, no one should.

Undertaker is damn old, do you really think they will take away his streak at his last year?

And even if he wasn't, it wouldn't be cool...

I just don't think Triple H vs Undertaker is a great idea, I don't like the idea of having both fighting in another Wrestlemania like hapenned to Michaels, but I think there isn't a better one to do the job =/

I love how because The Rock returned to fight in his hometown, suddenly Austin can only return if he fights at Cowboy Stadium. Stone Cold returning to the ring in New York (New Jersey actually) would be massive. I would absolutely love to see it, and should happen if Austin is willing to do it. It should not, and does not matter if its in Texas.

So how do we think Taker/HHH 3 will end?

I think it will be Last Man Standing and Taker will win. Taker hits the Tombstone and they both lie on ground as the ref counts to 10. Taker gets to his feet just before the count of 10, thus decisively defeating Triple H. Afterwords, the lights go out, Taker disappears, and 20-0 shines on titantron while Triple H lies motionless. We don't hear from Taker again until he's inducted into the HoF.

I'm still apathetic to fact that they insist on having Triple H vs. The Undertaker at WrestleMania for a 3rd time. They should've mixed it up and have him go against an up and comer, like Wade Barrett or Cody Rhodes for example. The only way I would be even remotely interested in HHH/Undertaker III is if Shawn Michaels was involved in the match somehow, which most likely isn't going to happen at all.

The Streak should not be killed off. Taker has never had a great, long title run, The Streak is really the one thing more than anything else that makes him special, unique in his legendary status.

As for people who complain about his age last year's match was the highlight of WM, nothing else on that card matched the intensity and the brutality of that match with HHH. I would think they could do at least as well this year.

That said, let Taker win - HHH is a legend, ending the streak doesnt really enhance his career. Certainly I think you would have to be pretty big to even warrant consideration for the ending the streak, no way I would give that to some young guy like Miz or Del Rio who have not come close to Taker's status. I wouldnt be upset if HHH ends it, and he definately is a big name, he just doesnt need this on his resume as much as say Kane would.

As for the match itself, you can already see where they are going for this. It's a WM 18 re-do, Trips willl deny the challenge because he's an Office Guy now, Taker will torment him, probably attack and beat down HBK and maybe Stephanie (remember heading into WM 18 when co-owner Flair denied the challenge Taker beat up both Arn Anderson and his son David before Flair agreed to a match). Trips will finally give in, they'll tear the house down, Taker will win. I do expect we'll hear a lot about how even though Taker won last year HHH REALLY won because he left Taker beaten down and battered, carried from the ring, while he walked away fine, the whole "he won the battle, I won the war" scenario which Trips mentioned in his RAW promo this week when HBK returned. This not only re-inforces why Taker is so bent on getting a re match but makes it seem like HHH really did win last year, so it's more like Taker even up the score with a win this time. It helps protect HHH's character a bit.

It will be Hell in a Cell. Both guys are synonymous with the match, both guys can use anything they want, it keeps any interference to a bare minimum. Great way to either end the streak or end HHH career as an inring guy. Taker will get his revenge, its obvious

Hell In The Cell at Wrestlemaina with Taker is not a bad idea, However you have think of what that might do to the Hell In The Cell PPV could kill its buy rate. But who cares the Hell In The Cell PPV is waste of 3hrs of people's lives. But Triple H and Taker Hell in a cell at Wrestlemaina's not gonna happen. I would rather see Taker vs Foley Hell IN the Cell at wrestlemaina and watch Taker throw is his broken ass off the cell again. Like he did at the 98 king of the rin Its was great I was there live. Just dont wanna see anouther taker vs triple h. Wish Foley wasnt all banged up.

It was officially announced that WrestleMania 29 will be taking place at the Metlife Stadium in New Jersey/New York on the 7th of April 2013.
So what are your thoughts on Metlife stadium being named the host for WrestleMania 29?
What matches do you see taking place?e

Personally I think its obvious now WM 30 will not take place in New York. The only reason WWE gave WM29 to New York is just to show they haven't forgotten NY and not get too much uproar on WM30 not being in NY. I have no idea how they are going to work in those ice cold weather condition though.
I see Stone Cold vs CM Punk as the main event.

Discuss.

By April 7th it'll be far from ice cold...The last time it was ever cold in April was like 1996. I think they'll be okay.

Anyway I'm way too excited! I'm so there! And The Rock is gonna be there too?! This Wrestlemania has to be epic.
