So I'm gonna say I have closers available. Motte and Putz are the guys I'd like to move first, but I can listen on everyone. Primarily I'd like upper caliber pitching in return.

There is virtually no difference between that and putting a guy like Miguel Cabrera (a 3rd baseman) at first base (where he still has eligibility I think).

It's your team, do what you want. Sure it helps you get more starts. But you also lose a relief pitcher spot which means you lose the chance to get a save.

Besides, if you update your lineup every day, you won't really have to do that.

I don't think it's a dick move at all. If any player is available at multiple positions, I'd have absolutely no problem utilizing them anywhere yahoo says they are eligible. It's a big advantage having guys available at different positions.

So how does everyone feel about their fantasy teams, now that the draft is over? I feel reasonably good about mine, although there are several glaring problems on my team, which I hope to address via free agency and trades if possible.

It was a fair bet, if you thought Lohse was going to produce. He was obviously going to sign somewhere, and likely at the latest some time in April.

Took some guts, but not an outrageous move. Getting the insurance on it this quickly is just icing on the cake.

Kinda like drafting a guy who starts the season injured, but it isn't anything major. Lohse will put up decent numbers so it wasn't a huge gamble.

Baseball is such a boring game; even dart and golf are exciting games compared to baseball.
Maybe reducing the number of strikes to get out, to 2 (two), and number of balls to get a walk, to 3 (three), would help make it less boring. And yeah, reduce the amount of time the pitcher takes before each ball delivery.

Surprised I was able to get Grienke off waivers. Gonna suck to be down a player for a bit until I get someone off the DL but once Grienke is off the DL my pitching staff should be pretty awesome.

Time to bump a four month old thread. How come there's been no discussion or trash talking throughout the season in this thing? In the WZHL, we were discussing hockey in our thread constantly. Surprised to see no discussion here at all since the draft.

Just figured out who Trout Fishin' is. Third place at the moment, and the top report card in fantasy football. King of fantasy sports. So far

So how does everyone feel about this fantasy pool? I think it's been pretty good so far. The playoffs are just a week away, anyone got any words of wisdom about things?

It's tough to stay active since I hate the Yahoo site and the only thing I'd use it for is fantasy. Not making excuses, but I've barely checked up on my team after the first 1-2 weeks and I much prefer using ESPN.

But that's just me.

I've got no problem whatsoever with yahoo for fantasy sports. Granted, the only time I use it is for my various fantasy sports leagues, but it seems to work out just fine for me. I just keep a tab open for each league on my iPad, check it every night before going to bed or every morning before getting up, and away you go. Takes less than five minutes each day, no big deal.

The problem with ESPN for fantasy sports is that it isn't available in Canada (I'm pretty sure) so if we tried to run these leagues on ESPN rather than yahoo, I'd be out. Granted, I think I'm the only one affected by that.

I figured most people wouldn't know it was me that was Trout Fishin With CC due to me coming into the league late. But I've kicked some ass and made people know who I am and I think I have a good shot at winning the league.

The league has been good, nobody has run away with it and every playoff team has a shot to win it all. Gonna be a matter of who's team holds up in the playoffs.

Oh that was you who kicked my ass this week? I had no idea.

I wish I had this team from the start cause I would have drafted a stronger team, mainly getting a good 2nd baseman and a better starting staff.

Congratulations to Harthan for winning the Wrestlezone Fantasy Baseball 2013 League. Great job all season and a decisive victory in the finals. And thanks for putting the league together in the first place, it was fun and I hope we can set it up all over again for next season.

Honorable mention to Yaz who had a great season as well finishing first overall in the regular season before a significant bump in the road in the final week.

I agree it was fun facing off against you guys this year. Hopefully if the league is renewed next year I can stay in it and draft my team this time as I would have had a very different team honestly.

But none the less 5th isn't bad for not drafting the team and coming into the league late.
