Now that league settings can be changed, here's just a few small tweaks I'd make:
-Change the CF spot to a 3rd OF. Doesn't make much sense to just single out one OF position like that.
-Less bench spots. 6 feels like way too much. I'd cut it in half. Less benches = larger waiver wire.
-Drop 2B as a category. Don't understand why it's made as one when this isn't a points league. Could change to something like K's, OBP, etc.
-Could change Total bases to slugging % since that's a little more indicative of a lineups strength (it'd be like using total hits instead of Average)
-Drop one of Hits allowed/Walks allowed in place of Quality starts. WHIP already covers that and QS gives those guys on crappy teams (like Chris Sale, Cliff Lee, etc.) to be more valuable then having just their wins tracked.
-Change a RP and SP spot to P to allow more flexibility. I'd probably go 4/2/3 SP/RP/P spots myself, but that's just me.
If I can think of any more I'll let you know.
I was considering eliminating the CF position, but every normal league I've been in has it set up like that. CF to me is a more unique position then you give it credit for. Not anyone can go in and play it, and they're harder to come by. So to require at least seems like the way to go in my opinion, but if more people agree with three OF instead I'll change it.
I had bench spots at 8, so instead of dropping it to four I'll move it to six. Maybe five then? Bench spots though can be pitchers and batters, so keep that in mind. It's not 6 batters and 6 pitchers. And plus this league is every day, so it's important to be able to swap guys in when other guys aren't playing.
I'll switch doubles out. I know you wanted more cats so I made it 7x7 instead of 5x5. Still wanted it to be an odd number, but then I wasn't sure what to throw in as another category so I just picked doubles. We can definitely change it, along with all the other category suggestions.
Pitching made sense to me too. To have 5 SP (A full rotation) 4 bullpen, then I wasn't sure if I wanted to throw in a flex pitching spot or not so I just put in one.
So we can definitely change the cats. Five bench spots a good compromise? For the elimination of the CF to make it three OF and to change the pitching, if the majority of people want to go that way I'll change it. CF and AVG just some more traditional to me, but I don't do a lot of roto leagues so maybe that's why.
Oh and as far as the tie thing goes, I saw that in there and though it'd be interesting. Especially because it adds a home and away feel to the league, but that doesn't sound like it's very popular either so I'll scratch it.
Also I believe I still need e-mails from Eddie and Eric, and then one more person to join the league.
