WMD : Official Spoiler Page

I've felt like that since Wrestlemania. All of the ppv's have felt like raw. Honestly tho, looking at the card I'm not quite sure what match could have made it feel like a ppv. What would you have done?

Extreme Rules was a terrific PPV with a terrific card going in. Rey/Cody, Cena/Miz, Christian/Del Rio, Kofi/Sheamus, Orton/Punk, all really high profile matches that I wanted to see, and they all wound up being solid.

But this one had Barrett/Zeke, Rey/Punk, Kofi/Ziggler, Christian/Orton... all of these are matches we've seen within the past two months, tops. And worst of all the main event of Cena/R-Truth was a joke. R-Truth is at his best right now, yes, but he belongs one place and one place only... in a comedy feud with Santino Marella.

Somebody hook me up with some exemplary Chris Hero matches. I'm in the mood for some indie wrestling.

Alot of his best matches aren't on YouTube, but here's one of the many classic indy battles he had with your boy CM Punk:

They wrestled a famous 90 minute match that was awesomesauce as well. They wrestled a few 60 minute clinics as well I think.

UH OH

Alex Riley's right bicep was badly bruised after his match against The Miz at last night's WWE Capitol Punishment pay-per-view.

As of this writing I am unable to confirm the severity of the injury, however, the worst case scenario would be a torn bicep tendon.

You can see photos of Riley's bruised arm in this gallery on the official WWE website. Pay close attention to photos #26 and #27.

Thanks to Wrestling News World reader DJ for their help with this story.

Richard Reacts: It's early so I haven't spoken with anyone close to Alex Riley this morning. However, if his bicep is torn it's a terrible break for the young superstar. Last night was his big opportunity and to get sidelined in the midst of a once in a lifetime push would be devastating. We can only hope it's just bruised but it looks serious.

Critically it bombed. I didn't think it was too bad though.

I'm glad Okada is gone, they had no fucking clue how to use him. He's a talented dude, I'm sure New Japan will bring him back home permanently really soon.

- The current storyline with Tyson Kidd having different managers on WWE Superstars is being done to eventually get him back to the SmackDown roster as a top mid-carder with the idea that he needs a mouthpiece to talk for him.

Kidd's manager will likely end up being a new WWE Diva. FCW Diva Maxine was scheduled to come to SmackDown weeks back but they held her debut off because they felt it wasn't the right time. This isn't confirmed but it's possible Maxine will be Kidd's new manager.

She had been the General Manager down in FCW but was recently relieved of her duties in the storylines.

believe it or not, last night's win at Capitol Punishment over Rey Mysterio was CM Punk's first WWE pay-per-view win since April 25th, 2010 at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view.

- WWE Diva Layla will reportedly be out of action for another eight and a half months. WWE officials are hopeful that she will be back in time for WrestleMania 28.

-- The official Twitter account of WWE Magazine announced that the Divas Championship will be on the line in the first match of tonight's "Power to the People" edition of Monday Night Raw.

Brie Bella will defend her title against (A) Eve, (B) Kelly Kelly, or (C) Beth Phoenix. Viewers can vote by texting A, B or C to 46993. Standard texting rates apply.

Yes please! Tyson Kidd as a top mid-carder on Smackdown? Fuck yes, him and Daniel Bryan will TEAR THE HOUSE DOWN every week and I'll love it. Make that shit happen Vince.

Raw Superstars matches taped for 23/6/11.

-Zack Ryder defeated Drew McIntyre

-Gail Kim defeated Melina

-David Otunga and Michael McGuillicutty defeated Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov in a non-title tag team match.
I am delighted with the first match.

Pune Tweeted "I knew I was gone at the beginning of the year. I just woke up one day and I knew. That's the way I work a lot of the time. I think it's creepy too, but it's really helpful. I knew I'd be history by July. Come say goodbye on July 17th. I promise to go out with a bang. Trust me. XxX"

Punk wrote a very similar blog when he was heading into his final announced ROH appearance, a bout where he was scheduled to challenge then-ROH champion Austin Aries. Some of the verbiage is actually the same. In that bout, Punk won the title and began a farewell speech, but then turned heel in the process and "took the belt hostage" for the summer, teasing he was going to deliver the belt to Vince McMahon. He would leave ROH several months later after losing the belt to James Gibson.

When Punk made his one return ROH appearance during a blizzard, by the way, he closed out that show by inviting the crowd out into the snow...to make snow angels.

If this is done correctly like the original Summer of Punk storyline in ROH we have so much to look forward to.

WWE are definately going for a Summer of Punk inspired storyline, not least because he does legitimately have 2 more months on his existing contract. I'm expecting HBK to try and persuade Punk to do the right thing (which will get the "You stupid old man, I'm a snake" line) and Cena to "do what he has to" to keep the title in WWE. Like he did in Montreal over the next two weeks (they're both taped in Vegas, so why not have him there for both?). Should be riviting stuff. Especially for those of us who missed the original Summer of Punk.

I was in attendance at Capitol Punishment. To clarify during the Zeke vs. Barrett match the only chants I heard were some small "We want Ryder" and "Boring" chants. I have seen twice now people try to tell me Zeke is over and it makes we want to slap them. Zeke hands down got the most flat reaction of the night. Thats not to say he is bad, hes just so generic and boring its not even funny. He just reeks of like a default wrestling CAW.

I saw Percy Watson defeat Primo in a RAW dark match. The crowd were behind him. Not because he was over or anything, just because Primo was a total dick and did some excellent heel mic work pre-match.

Punk's feud with Cena could well turn into the feud of the year and the match at MITB could well be a match of the year contender.

When Tyson Kidd gets rid of that stupid tuft of hair, I'll take him seriously. Even though he does have a bad case of old man face.

NOTES

In light of the technical difficulties that occurred during the "Power to the People" edition of Raw on Monday night, WWE will make it up to fans by holding a match between Sin Cara and Evan Bourne on next week's show.

As noted before, the dark match before tonight's WWE NXT tapings in Hershey, PA saw Johnny Curtis defeat Tyson Kidd.

Kidd teased on Twitter this morning that tonight's tapings would be the next step for him but so far, it looks like he's been limited to a dark match.

- Zack Ryder will be main eventing tonight's episode of WWE NXT against his Season 2 Rookie, Titus O'Neill. The following matches were taped for tonight's show:

* Zack Ryder vs. Titus O'Neill

* Yoshi Tatsu, Conor O'Brian & Vladimir Kozlov vs. JTG, Chavo Guerrero & Darren Young
