What is going to forever change TNA? Dixie Carter knows.

I figured it out Dixie Carter's big secret is she's posing for playboy. It will be the first ever owner of a company posing for the magazine. She will probably have a sneak preview this Sunday which is why she's so excited thinking about what she'll wear or lack there of what shes wearing.

check her twitter now.. its got something to do with spike..
"Just got off phone w/Spike prez Kevin Kay. He is all in and agrees this will change TNA on every level."

Tna live on Thursdays? Sounds likely to me..:banghead:

Just to let people know, the thread is about the relation between the Ink Inc/3D feud, the card carrying mystery attacker and if its somehow tied to Dixie's "Big surprise for Slammaversary" Tweet. As to what you posted, it could be. Or perhaps TNA finally nabbed a timeslot for a second show.

Back on topic, it may seem odd to waste the debut of a major factor by having them attack a simple tag team. however you miss the part that these attacks benefit Team 3D. They have been TNA's most successful ECW originals. You could argue that RVD would be more successful but 1) He's only been here 4 months 2) He's the World Champion. Putting a newly born faction to feud in the main event immediately wouldn't be too smart. Going for #2, that being 3D would be a safer bet. The fact that the PPV match is Bubba Ray vs Jesse Neal makes me suspect this. Why would one of the top PPV's of the year feature a relative nobody and a past-his-prime tag team wrestler than never had single's success on your card? There has to be more to this than just good build up. They can't seriously expect a good match to come out of this. A Tag Team match sounds better, but seeing Devon's reaction to the situation on Thursday, it seems unlikely.

the only thing TNA can do to change TNA forever and to make it good is to stop jobbing out their talent and bury the likes of jeff jarrett, jeff hardy and kurt angle(excellent wrestler but just don't cut it as a guy u can root for cause of his look)

Her "Ground Breaking" Announcement is that she gave up and she is selling to TNA to the WWE. :lmao:

But TNA has talented wrestlers. Can WWE identify such individuals these days?

--

Douchebaggery aside, since she mentioned Spike and its Prez, that automatically rules out any possible return or debut of a wrestler.

My guess is that they signed Heyman and they're going Live every Thursday.

From what i have been reading on another site which wrestlezone sometimes gets news from pwinsider ...they say it is huge...first report was signing either paul heyman or kevin sullivan to creative and then they had a second update where they say theytalked to several people inside tna who say that it is much bigger than changing creative so we will just have to wait and see.

Yeah as a matter of fact they can. Anyway I fail to see how getting Paul Heyman or going Live on Thursdays "Changes" TNA forever.

i highly doubt that ms. carter's message has anything to do with a new talent or stable, considering the follow up tweet.

as for the ace of spades card....could be anyone. i like the chris daniels idea, as i never was happy about his departure. but looking at these posts makes me think i was the only person in the world who saw an ace of spades and thought "maybe sonny siaki is returning." ok, maybe not. how about bob orton senior? (still have my fingers crossed for a "flying elvises" reunion. anyone know jimmy wang's status at wwe?)

latest from pwinsider.com
I reached out to TNA President Dixie Carter for clarification on the "TNA changes" comment that we've written about tonight. When asked about whether it would involve a creative change as we theorized earlier in the night, Carter responded none of the theories making the rounds were correct and the change was something on a much larger, grander scale. It was described to me as "true change."

While there is rampant discussion going on within the company about the situation (and we've heard a number of theories), the reality is no one in the company knows what Carter has up her sleeve as she hasn't disclosed it to anyone. Carter is holding all her cards extremely close to the vest, so no one knows what the true nature of what her tease is.

While Carter made it clear this situation is not something specifically designed for Slammiversary (although she did tease a surprise for that PPV, which apparently is a different matter), all of this certainly does add a lot of intrigue and mystique to this Sunday's PPV.

Something that could change TNA forever!!

Could it be new and totally SHOCKING WWE defecator?

HBK,....... He would be the only guy that could make a impact/change in TNA ratings if he crossed the line. I don't see this happening. As awesome as HBK is, he could not change TNA forever.

Goldberg.... We have not seen him in any kind of ring in a long time. It would be cool to see him in TNA but still I don't see this changing TNA forever.

Shane Mcmahon.. I know that sounds crazy. And I would never believe it myself, but if there is a single persons who's presents in TNA would shock and change TNA forever it would be the protocols son him self.

But most likely...

There are really two things that I think would change TNA forever. The first would be moving out of the impact zone and taking Thursday night Impact on the road going from state to state. The second would be adding a new weekly TNA show. I am not saying that TNA could afford this. however its the only two things I could see that could change TNA forever.

The only thing that can change TNA forever is by, oh, I don't know, firing all of creative and giving full creativity to someone who can make TNA.. entertaining? That's just a shot in the dark for me, I don't know what can change TNA besides that, or the Motor City Machine Guns getting what they deserve, and that's the Tag Championship's.

Maybe that's just me due to being a Machine Gun mark but hey, I'll be sure to watch TNA in the next coming weeks because Dixie Carter has CHANGE in store for all of us! Last time someone had change for all of us, that person filled the air with false hope that made us vote for him. Let's hope Dixie doesn't go down Obama's path and fill the air with false hope that TNA will change.

Let's hope TNA can 'cross the line', per say, and give me something to watch on Thursday night's, rather than pornography.

What about something like... no more PPV?, Free "big" events instead of ppv.

Just my thought, thats something that somehow... could change the actual wrestling scenario.

Not big deal, but its a change.

I dont think that signing someone can change the wrestling forever. Not even SCSA and The Rock debuting at Slammyversary.

Paul would be great, but then again, its a great wrestling mind, but wont change wrestling as it is now.

Paul would be great, but then again, its a great wrestling mind, but wont change wrestling as it is now.

That's true, it won't. That Dixie keeps making these pronouncements over the Internet suggests changes that are cause for the fans to get excited. Simply hiring a new creative writer won't do that, and I'll tell you..... if she keeps crying wolf like this, her words are going to become so meaningless that eventually no one will be interested in hearing what she has to say.

So, if she's got something this time, it had better be big.

I really don't see it being an in-ring talent. Maybe they're changing their name from TNA.

Maybe they're gonna call it: Thursday Night Nitro

Or does Vince own the name "Nitro" already?

I'm going to go with another idea of sort's. Whatever it is has to give them tons more exposure. So what if they worked a deal with another wrestling organization like dragon's gate, or ROH or MMA/UFC. That would be great for TNA, and would get them alot of exposure. Maybe the former WCW owner TED TURNER has partnered up with TNA to give the wrestling biz another shot. Then they would have the money again to have another show on TBS or TNT, and tour live like WCW used too. Not really a far stretch from the mind considering that there was huge rumors that TED TURNER wanted to start another wrestling show again on his networks...That would be huge for TNA if that were the case...

For me it's a very viable business decision for TED TURNER to buy into a growing wrestling organization. I remember a few years ago Ted Turner was looking to start a new wrestling organization up with BISCHOFF but the deal fell through. What if Bischoff succeeded this time. What if Bischoff has TED TURNER buying into ownership, and building another top rated wrestling show like he had in WCW back in the day. It made him alot of money.

That is my official take on this huge announcement. That TURNER BROADCASTING had bought into ownership with TNA and he's going to the wrestling biz to the top again with his money, and his television networks..

You have to admit that it is very possible. Ted and Bischoff were going to start a wrestling organization together. Why not buy into a existing one already with alot of great talent already there, and shoot it straight to the moon. I could handle a second wrestling show on TNT monday night again. Bigger tv networks ,and alot more exposure..

Something to mull over...

While that would be a lovely thing, Dixie has already stated that this has something to do with Spike TV being happy. If Turner did this, they wouldn't be on Spike anymore so no....that's not the announcement.

As great as this would be, due to their production values increasing and having better exposure on American TV, Turner Broadcasting will not buy back into wrestling. Ted Turner HIMSELF might do so, but the Turner Corp. won't buy into it. They got rid of Nitro and WCW like crazy in order to change their formats on TNT and TBS. So this would be quite awesome, but alas, it's not the case.

It's hype, man – nothing more. I seriously doubt it's anything that climactic.

TNA has done this in the past and one of those times ended up being Bobby Lashley – hardly ground-breaking by any means IMO.

As Bweezy noted, it's a tweet to get people to buy, and it works for this exact reason.

When Bobby debuted, all it was, was him walking to the ramp. Took him a few weeks or months to actualy come back. He was only there for what? Not even a title match. Could TNA just be using it to get buys? I think so.

BTW It'sDamnReal should be writing for TNA.Probally took him 5 mins to make the list, would take TNA 5 years to do something that good.

it's most likely nothing, think about it, shes said the same thing so many times before only for absolutely nothing to happen. probably the signing of a new talent (Shelton)

Let me make this clear, before I even start talking out of my ass... I don't watch TNA. After January 4th, I found it to be just trying too hard and although I genuinely wanted to try and give it a go, I found myself turned off by the possibility of the show every week.

Now, with that being said, I am pretty sure that what Dixie is alluding to, is the addition of another show to add to Impact. As is expected, I literally have no idea what has been going on in TNA recently but my main clue is the last tweet that I read. She talked about talking to the President of Spike and saying that he was behind the idea. My reasoning is pretty sound. If this were an internal thing, like Hogan joining in January was, there is literally no need for her to talk to the Spike President. The same can be said for a new superstar or for an old one returning. Effectively, that means that the only other thing it can be, is the announcement of a new show.

By all logical reasoning, this is the only thing that seems to add up in my head. Now, maybe I am wrong. Maybe she is taking TNA in a new direction and wanted to run things past the Spike president just for talking sake. Maybe she just wanted to let him know what was happening internally but if it really was a massive internal change, then letting as little people know as possible is probably key. The last thing you would do is go and talk to the media really.

I don't watch that often but would be cool if she announced that they will be doing free "ppv" shows on Spike (or another network) and only do pay per view once every 3 or 4 months and give the fans free ppv shows the rest of the year once a month on a sunday on spike TV..

I don't know how well the PPV buyrate is but this could draw in more fans and would increase the 3 or 4 real PPVs they have each year...

She said that it will change TNA, and Impact forever. Could it be that they're finally moving out of the dumping Impact Zone and doing weekly live broadcasts from different locations? That would be huge, and awesome.

Guys I have a theory about this...... Last Monday Vince McMahon appeared at RAW with 2 black eyes back stage. No one knew why.

Confirmed here
http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/wwe/8090.html

What if Shane Mcmahon gave him those black eyes? What if they got into a dispute because Vince found out that Shane bought TNA to run against him?

Note* Shane does have a relationship with Spike TV as he was trying to get into UFC side of things, But they also sponsor TNA. And TNA wants more revenue so it could be a deal where Shane was able to go into since he cashed out pretty well with WWE. Maybe this is the announcement Dixie has since she said she had to confirm it with SPIKE TV before announcing.

Just saying its just a theory on my part.. but anything is possible in the wrestling industry and this would make for some good tv!

Here is more on this issue, stating that this will impact TNA on every level. SO it has to be something major and Dixie has made it clear that its not the surprise of Sullivan and Heyman joining the creative team (thats just an added surprise).

http://www.lordsofpain.net/news/tna/8127.html

In a follow-up to reports that TNA Wrestling could be handing its creative reins over to new blood, it appears TNA's heavily-hyped transformation will involve more than just a personnel change.

PWInsider.com, which first broke the story of Paul heyman and Kevin Sullivan being on TNA's short list of potential recruits for the creative team, says that an additional, more sweeping change is still expected to be made clear.

"Just got off phone w/Spike prez Kevin Kay. He is all in and agrees this will change TNA on every level," Carter recently wrote on Twitter, again suggesting that the change will affect TNA on a more fundamental basis.

What if THATS her announcement?

Here's a question, does it matter? Looks like everyone soundly agrees that there is no way whatever it is could be as big a deal as Dixie Carter has been saying. Even if the big surprise is that they are leaving the Impact Zone, or it ends up being Carlito, Shelton, Mickie, Shane Helms, Batista, Paul Heyman, Shane McMahon, and Ted Turner joining TNA all in the same night, DOES IT REALLY MATTER??? no. I'll put any amount of money on whatever the "Surprise" is being a crock. Even if the miracle of all miracles happened and all those people came together to TNA to make a serious run at WWE, it does not matter. Nothing can change or save TNA from it's ultimate destiny of failure.
