This is how it works. Republicans take a lot of high volume but low impact. Democrats make it up by carrying the heavy hitters. Big reason why it's possible Romney could win the popular vote but lose the electoral vote.

Things are looking pretty tough for Romney in Florida as well.Yep. California + New York would get Obama 84 electoral votes, or over 30% of the needed total for the Presidency. That's how he catches up. That and places like Michigan and Wisconsin. The biggest thing Romney has so far is Indiana, which isn't a big place at all.
