I would love to see Shelton get a strong push and get at least his foot in the door in one the main titles picture. Benoit is another guy who is too good to be wrestling the matches he has had lately... I don't mind MVP but c'mon. He's been on top before there's no reason he can't be on top again.

Since when has the WWE given us what we wanted these days. John Cena has been champ for over 2 years and remains a face even though he gets booed everywhere, the Great Khali is in the main event picture now and Vince McMahon is ECW champion. So everyone take the worse scenerio and that is probably what we will get.

First of all Lashley's injury isn't a big deal so that's not a problem. I think that it should be a face vs. heel, unlike Taker vs. Batista, give the title back to Batista and move Orton over to Smackdown!, that is a rivalry that was going to happen but never did.

There is one thing that no one seems to be realizing...Undertaker's history. "Taker has wrestled with severe injuries before, many that doctors said he shouldn't be wrestling with. He shattered the orbital bone in his eye socket, and put on a steel mask. He had several broken ribs, he put on a flack jacket. Sure, the torn bicep is nasty, and he shouldn't wrestle with it at all, BUT, it's Taker, and he has done it before, who's to say he won't do it again, at least until they can get a viable, (i.e. NOT BATISTA, CENA, KHALI OR HENRY) Replacement?

Gotta disagree with you on that Icon. McMahon as the ECW champ and the tangled championship picture on Raw both hold the possibility for great storylines to come out of them. I don't see any reason why this situation can't be salvaged in a way that at last affords the hope that something good will come out of it..

True. I've heard he's in desperate need of a hip replacement. But we need to discuss something. And until we hear different, Takers at deaths door.
Mark Henry as Champ then. Seriously if that happens I wont even watch Smackdown hungover. They shouldn't give it to someone who A) Is injury prone. B) Is complete shit. I've had poo's with more charisma and wrestling ability.
Maybe they will give it to Umaga. Vince seems very high on him lately and he just destoryed RVD on Raw. He doesnt seem injury prone but some might say he is complete shit so that is 1 out of 2.

I shudder to think of a Batista/Umaga fued. Umaga is good at what he does, but his style isn't really condusive to carrying someone like Batista to a good series of matches. They could have a LMS type brawl once, but after that it would all just be repetative. On the flip side, Umaga being champ could set up a good fued with Rey Mysterio when he returns..
I don't mind Umaga. He's really impressed me so far this year. I got hold of some of his Japan stuff. And he's in the Undertaker big man bracket as opposed to the Khali big man bracket. I just hate the stereotypical samoan gimmick.
I agree he did real well in the Lashley fued. It would be nice to see Kane get a title longer than 24 years but I think they are trying to give him some time off and he seems like HBK who doesn't want to have the title.

Are they trying to give Kane time off? I had heard that rumor when he lost the "Loser Leaves Raw" match to Umaga, but then he showed up later that week on Smackdown. And since he has been squashing Regal and Taylor lately, I don't see any time off in his future.. why would they build him up just for him to disappear?

This is the absolute worst thing i can think of right now. Undertaker after so much time, wins the title.....and gets hurt fighting Batista. If he is unable to hold the title then there should be a tournament for the title. Maybe King of the Ring? The winner should not be obvious though. I want someone new....you all can hate me for saying this but if the title is vacated, i would like to see Mark Henry pick it up by winning a tournament for it. Just my opinion. But of course it is a crushing blow to smackdown to have Taker hurt and i hope he can recover soon and grab his title back.

Right now i think Umaga is the top candidate being discussed within the WWE but i do not think he will be the best to replace Taker, the fans are not into him as much as other heels like Edge. HBK, Edge, Benoit or Finlay are the best choices, Kennedy would be good but he already has the MITB so he does not need the title yet until he uses the MITB.
This sucks if the Undertaker is going to need surgery he finally got a world title back after 5 years. They should have a tournament and have the finals at the next ppv hopefully someone that can have good matches wins like Benoit, Edge, or Michaels or give the title to someone like Kane or Shelton Benjamin.

I meant 24 hours. He won the title and lost it the night after to Stone Cold on Raw. I forgot the name of the PPV maybe it was King of the Ring.
Wow, this absolutley sucks horseshit. Jesus, the man was set for a lengthy title reign, and this is what happens. He's been lucky, it's been 7 years since he's had a lengthy injury, but damn, why now.

the more i think about it the more i think it is a good idea for Kane to put this belt around his waist...wins a tournament since the belt is vacated...when taker gets back we see a feud between the 2 for the belt...as i recall Kane is also on the judgement day poster so this would further the poster and the ppv with kane on it....he just like taker has not had a title run in ages and therefore u could bring someone with the same type of element taker has but a sadistic one into the title picture....at the current moment he is not in a feud...this would b the perfect oppurtunity to bring someone like Kane from the mid-card into main event status..also would give a fresh face into the title picture....

Kennedy just cut a promo last night saying he will put it to use at wrestlemania 24...im not sure if that is what will occur but throwing him into the title picture at this moment and time wouldnt fit in with the promo he fed us last night...the best thing to do would be vacate the title have stars such as kennedy involved in it...have him barely make it and therefore his money in the bank can reflourish him into the title picture...or throw the title on him and at the same time have the briefcase with him as well? Undertaker being injured is a big fuck up...does anyone know where and when this occured?...this opens the door for others..no doubt batista will still b involved in this title picture in some way or form the question is if they will return it to him or throw it on a fresh face to still give the same element undertaker was bringing smackdown at this current point and time...

Undertaker being injured is a huge blow to the SD! brand. He had a good short reign so far and for this to happen is horrible. Hopefully its not as severe as Wrestlezone reports it is. If it is and he does get injured and has to relinquish the title then I gurantee you it wont be in a match because they wouldnt want him to further his injury. I see Taker relinquishing it similar to how Batista did and then they have the King of the Ring tournament and winner at Judgement day of the tournament gets the title. It will add more interest to the tournament as well. I like many people else said think Kennedy is going to get the title and be the first to have MITB and the WHC.

What was originally planned to be a long-term title reign for The Undertaker could come to a quick halt, reports The Wrestling Observer.
The wrestler suffered a biceps tear prior to Sunday's Backlash PPV; following the match, he was in "tremendous pain."
The muscle is noticeably rolled up, which implies a complete tear off the bone and a six-to-eight month recovery period.
Undertaker committed to working a more regular WWE schedule for the purpose of long-term title reign, but if the injury is as serious as most believe, he'll be forced to drop the belt soon.
He was to be evaluated by Dr. James Andrews Tuesday afternoon. After determining if Undertaker will be required to drop the belt, WWE will then have to decide whether or not it can safely be done via a match.

This really does suck. I agree with everyone else that Batista shouldn't get the belt back, largely due to the fact that he's such a boring champ to have. I'd like to see the belt vacated and have a tournament for the title on Smackdown. This way we could see some talent switch brands and get some new life into the other brands.
