[Official] Carlito Thread (Keep it ALL in here!)

Carlito will be lucky to get on Smackdown, with La Familia and a lot of main event guys. I think it will just be a matter of time until he gets released as i don't think they have anything for him. They've got enough contenders for the US title at the moment with MVP, Kennedy etc. Carlito's days are numbered.

Carlito comign to SD is just a way to get him out of Raw's hair. He's done in WWE for the most part. He's just never had that pop to me. He's ok in the ring, ok on the mic, has an ok look. That's the problem. He's just average. There's nothing special about this guy at all. He hasn't been on SD yet and it's been how long now? If he shows up, he'll get a tiny push and then be done. He needs to go back to the indy's and Puerto Rico where he's a god. There's just no place for him right now in WWE and he doesn't want to be there. Why pay the guy?

I fully agree with you. I actually like Carlito but the thing is that he doesn't like you said have that "IT" factor. Shelton Benjamin isn't that good on the mic but he can wrestle like no other. Only reason Carlito is still there is because Vince doesn't want another one of his stars jumping to TNA IMO

It's a shame that Carlito has a big mouth and a bad attitude(or so it seems) because Carlito can be a solid mid carder. I also think if Carlito was still on Raw he would have a chance to be a "solid" contender against Punk and thoes two could have had a alright feud. Now that Carlito is on Smackdown with HHH, I dont see him doing much and he will probably leave for TNA soon enough...

Could Carlito be more of a cry baby? Seriously, what is his problem?? He's very popular with fans. He's got a great gimmick that works for him. So what's the problem. In my opinion, he's your typical modern day spoiled brat who is never happy with what he's got. Does he expect to be treated like a HHH, Undertaker, Shawn Michaels, or Kane who have paid their dues for the last....well, since Carlito was in Junior High School?? Cut this drama queen loose. If he thinks he can do better elsewhere, let him go. Let him follow in the footsteps of Buff Bagwell!

I think there is an obvious reason why Carlito countinues to bash the WWE, Vince, & HHH, and that is he wants out. He most likely wants out of his contract and he feels if he bashes the company enough Vince will cut him free. Carlito probably wants to either go back to his fathers company or go to TNA. I think Vince knows what Carlito is up to and should just keep him on contract out of spite, and keep him off TV. Carlito is very talent but you cant be a cry baby all the time when you dont get your own way.

I say let him go. He's a decent talent. But there are far superior already on the roster. If all he is going to do is bitch and moan about his contract, then let him go. WWE does not need him. He'll go to Mexico and be a high profile star over there. I say good for him, he deserves some success. But he's never going to attain it in the WWE by bitching and crying to Vince. I say job him out for awhile, then let him go.

1. Carlito has a great fan base.
2. He is great on the microphone.
3. He is one of the better performers in the mid-card.
4. He has LOTS of charisma.

Would I be bitching if I was in his position?

Proberly not, But I can understand why is, It's the same reason Monty Brown left TNA, It's because management has let him down, They promised him a title run and an improved position on the card, both of which he has been let down on.

He was promised a title run, It looked like he's get that with Santino, But for some unknown reason they was buried, split, and then traded.

What about the push?

Well that's gone to shit hasn't it? I dont even think he's debuted on SmackDown yet, Improved position my fecking arse.

But if I was him I'd be counting down the days to the end of my contract!

What I don't understand is why Carlito would think that bitching about it will get him what he wants if we've heard over the years that Vince is very stubborn. This would make the situation worse.

The best thing would have been if he said "move me over to ECW". That way, they'd start using him more often and if he was truly talented enough, he'd wow the fans and get them to go nuts. If the WWE sees that someone is popular, they sure as hell aren't going to stop using them, as that hurts business.

So while he may be held back and not winning midcard titles, he also has to stop complaining if he wants the situation to get any better. Unless, of course, he truly wants them to fire him...in which case he should just try to fix everything backstage that has held him down. If he thinks its HHH, he should do something about it. What's the worst that would happen? He'd get fired like he wants to? Lol.

Carlito was on of the reasons I got back into wrestling in 2005. He was a cocky ******** with a cool hairstyle who can actual wrestle. And he isnt a serious steroid jabber/meathead that Vince tried to throw down my throat, like Khali, SSnitsky or many of the other stiffs.

I think hes moaning a lot to get fired. But also to let Vince and co know he feels hes ready for a push. CM punk has got one(on Raw, ratings have gone up since he has been champ. Wether or not its upto Punk being champ I dunno, but if the company tanks, the champ is blamed.

Mving him to sd was a bad choice. I feel it was done so that Triple H doesnt squash Edge every other week(which is has been doing, and its a shame because Edge helped make that brand popular again).

The worst the WWe could do is give him a midcard title and see what happens. The hispanic audience doesnt really have a star now Rey is on Raw, so why not appeal to them, the same way Kofi and co is appealing to the black audience.

I agree that he has talent. But his incessant whining is obnoxious. You're never going to get ahead in this business by being a cry baby. Being BIG is a good way to gain a main event role. But if you're not big, you have to big in charisma. Carlito CAN do this. He has the charisma, but it seems like he starts whining anytime he isn't being pushed like Triple HHH, Cena, or Orton.

Would you rather be a mid carder making a ton of cash in WWE and have the potential to make main event status if you play your cards right? Or would you rather be wrestling a bunch of no name nobodies in masks in Mexico making slightly more than minimum wage, but hey!! You're the main eventer!

If Carlito has a problem with the "way he's being treated" I say that he can go. He's an entertaining performer, but it's clear that he's not gonna get anywhere. I liked his "main event" push when he was in the finals of the Elimination Chamber match at New Year's Revolution 2006, but since then he's been floating around randomly. WWE might not have done the greatest job pushing him, as he is more than credible as a contender for the mid-tier and tag team championships.

But all this complaining all the time is really tiresome. Sure, it may not be entirely fair, but that's life. I hope that he resolves his differences with WWE and gets a push though - he's earned it. But if the guy isn't happy - he can go.

So once again there are reports that Carlito is "unhappy with his current status within WWE". How many times have we heard this already?

Look Carlito is an average at best in ring wrestler, he has a lame gimmick and his look is nothing to write home about. I always thought his mic work was way overrated and he has never said anything that made me laugh or even keep my interest.

At least when Santino does the "over accent" voice he is funny while Carlito just sounds lame.

He also has next to no heat from the live crowd anymore making him a pretty worthless heel and here he is complaning again. I say the WWE should just let him leave so he can go to TNA or another promotion and complain how Vince "Held him down" like every other wrestler who never got over big with the crowd and left WWE.

So Carlito quit your bitching already and be thankful you still have a job.

Thoughts?

Carlito wants to leave, but it's likely just a bunch of hot air. The grass really wouldn't be much greener on the other side.

Sure, he could go back to WWC or AAA, but they really aren't quite as good as they have been in the past. And I don't really see him going from working steadily with the WWE to working the Indy circuit, he doesn't seem like he'd have the drive to do it. I remember watching a shoot interview with Tammy Sytch and while she was talking about her experiences in Puerto Rico, she mentioned the Colóns and basically said Eddie is in the business because he loves it and Carlito doesn't have a passion for it and is just in it for the pay off basically.

He's really not been involved in anything major lately and the initial appeal of his gimmick has worn off (at least for me anyway). They've given him a new look as seen at Summerfest, so if he stays, maybe that could lead to something...but if he goes, it's not really gonna be seen as a huge loss.

Um, agree? Carlito always looks lazy and bored in the ring, like he couldn't care less. And that's boring to watch. It baffles me why Vince won't fire him, I guess it just must be spite. It's certainly not reluctance to sack people in general (what, 9 released in total this week?) I can't really see him fitting in at TNA either. With WWE clearly trying to trim the wage bill, you'd have thought he'd be first for the chop.

LOL Has anyone seen Carlitos new gimmick. He shaved off his afro. Check front page of WZ. LOL

But Seriously, Carlito doesn't have anything else left. He had a good run in 04, and 05 but other then that, he has been a jober. Just let him go already, they have nothing for him.

Carlito is one of those people that always say "Oh, I'm gonna leave if you don't give me a push" and always nagging, and just whining nonstop. Carlito is a good wrestler, but he ALWAYS wants to be on the top of a promotion just like he was in WWC.
PS. I actually think he looks more serious with corn rows. His afro got old, plus Ricky Ortiz stole his coolness with his afro. But I can tell, He is going to be let go soon.

I personally feel for the guy. He got a load of vignettes hyping his debut, won a title in his first match, and started a fued with one of SDs most over stars of the time against John Cena. Had a few other appearances here and there, was givin his own interview segment to work with. Moved to Raw, won another title immediately, and then had nothing but tag fueds and one ME push when no one else was available. Was put in a fued with HHH where he jobbed the whole time because HHH had no one else to fight due to injuries/suspensions. He got moved to SD like he wanted and hasn't been on TV yet. He has to be one of the only 2nd gen stars i've seen who hasn't been pushed significantly (and DH Smith). He must look at Rhodes and Dibiase and think 'WTF?'

Sadly, not having his dad as a part of the company like all the other 2nd and 3rd gen guys doesn't help. Nor, of course, does whining on and on about wanting to a guaranteed push. I honestly thought that when he was put in MITB this year that his future was brightening up.

I can just see him going to TNA and getting an uber push, and while Carlito will regain his smile, it will probably do fuck all for TNA

the WWE needs to do something big and fast with this guy before he leaves for TNA. he is one of the WWE's future stars.

hopefully he apperas on SD very soon. he can feud with Kennedy, MVP, Hardy, R-Truth and so on.

i could see a feud with R-Truth when they both come back after SS.

As much as I like the guy, I must say that the interview featured in one of WZ's news articles right now is one of the biggest displays of unprofessionalism I've ever seen. That is, depending on if it's a work or not.

If you haven't seen it, he flubs the name of SmackDown and disrespects other workers on national TV. That is just low, dude. I sure hope that was another work from WWE's side to get him over as a heel, because if I owned a world-renowned company, I'd fire a guy saying that on the spot. F'n stupid, Carlito...

Its funny when people bash Carlito.

Didn't HBK, Triple H, Nash, Hogan, Scott Hall, Goldberg and countless others whine and bitch, and they all got pushes(Nash even got the bookers job in WCW, leading to the most horrible television every witnessed)

I just find it amusing that people bash Carlito, yet they love Triple H/Hbk, even though they whine and get thier own way!

He's the new Shane Douglas. Someone who has a very high impression of himself and blames others when he doesn't put much effort in anything and is punished accordingly.

People bash HHH and HBK and Cena, but at least they put everything they have into the business. Carlito expects to be handed to him instead of having to earn it

Carlito gets a ton of unneccessary shit in my opinion. Sure the guy is an egomaniac, but what exactly do you want him to be. He is no different then many of the other guys in that locker room.

Now I can say this for Carlito, what has he done to make himself better? I'm not sure, I don't work for the E. Obviously he's not doing himself any favors by bashing the Nose, but there is something else that must have happened that derailed him.

Carlito was pushed to the moon, something that shouldn't have happened, adn why I hate it when the WWE pushes guys to young, IE Kennedy, Orton, Lesnar. Ego's grow, and if that push stops, they take it personal.

For Carlito though, why hasn't the WWE released. Obviously they won't for some reason. Is it afraid (insert laughs) that TNA is actually going to do something like make him a star? Or is it that they want a latino to cater to that demographic? For some reason Carlito is still employed, and that's the most interesting part of this story.

They sure are letting his Character die down for a bit over on Smackdown. A great debut for Carlito would be for MVP to become a face turn. He would then go out to cut a promo telling about all his Angst he is having on Smackdown and all the abuse he is getting from Hawkins and Ryder. The edgeheads come out and trash MVP, they approach the ring, and start the beatdown on MVP. Out of nowhere the Debuting Carlito comes down and lays a beating on Hawkins and Ryder. We have it tonight, Hawkins and Ryder vs MVP and Carlito. The Cornrollers would get the win to a huge ovation, and Carlito will keep his title winning streak alive.

I say let him leave and go cry his way over to TNA, He's brother is more talented than him anyways..Carlito had a chance to get over with the audience and he blew it. I personally never liked carlito but i can see why some might have but unless the do something with him quick nobody will be sad to see him leave..

At this point, I really don't care if he comes back. He's been gone so long now that I think hardly anyone notices he's gone now. He was never going to be in the main event in WWE anyway which became obvious a long time ago. He had a few bright spots but you just never saw that spark in him. He needs to just be released and save the cash for the company. TNA shouldn't sign him, at least I wouldn't if I were then. I think it'd be somethign like when Rikishi signed there. He'd be there a few weeks with a lot of undeserved hype and then be gone. He is the epitome of WWE reject, so why waste the money? Let him go back to WWC and dominate there.
