I'm sorry if I'm repeating myself (because I've posted the same thing in 2 other threads), but this is probably the best Raw ending in over 10 years. The ECW / WCW invasions were a joke compared to this....this is serious s**t. Kudos to the WWE creative team for coming up with the absolute BEST idea to use a talented pool of guys, i.e. the former NXT rookies. With Wade Barrett as their leader, this stable will be the most dominant since the nWo. Let's hope WWE continue to get this right and push the envelope further....even make these guys responsible for what happened to the Undertaker, so that you can drag ALL of the WWE's top faces (Cena, Orton, Kane, Morrisson, Big Show, Morrison) and even the heels into a lengthy battle with this new faction.

I am a happy man tonight. Wrestling finally became interesting again....screw TNA (LOL).

Gabriel and Slater aren't exactly credible heels either[/QUOTE]

To me that's what makes it so interesting. It's not like they are just all of a sudden heels, but more like they share a common enemy in the main event guys. Gabriel seems like a really nice guy but when he started screaming that Cena wasn't any better than him, at least to me it was believable.

This was a great ending to Raw. The fact that they took out EVERYBODY (Except Cole) stunned me. Even the poor ring announcer was taken out. The whole ripping apart of the ring, the throwing of the announce table on Lawler, made it epic!. But I'm wondering what part did Cole play in all of this. It will be interesting to see, what part if any he has.

And another thing I noticed, to give the NXT rookies some credibility. It was the simple fact that No Raw or Smackdown superstars came down to save them. They just allowed them to build up major credibility without stopping them by letting Superstars come down and end it, in any way.

Greatest Raw ending I have seen in a LONG TIME

Amazing, you have to hope this continues. The best segment ive seen since Hogan turned heel. Raw was terrible until this moment, was Nxt season 1 a 15 week setup for this ? And if it was you got to give Vince and the writers a ton of credit for this. Apparently they have learned their lessons from the mistakes of the WCW/ECW invasion. Hopefully this is only the beginning !!!!

I was surprised how well each of the former "rookies" looked as vicious heels. Seriously Slater, holy fuck. This was the greatest ending to RAW I've seen in the past 6 years, probably more, and I havn't marked out like that in a long time. I kinda hope they were the ones who took out Taker, and I really hope WWE doesn't drop the ball with this. Whoever came up with this idea needs a gold medal and a blowjob.

Oh, and seeing Punk get back in there was surprising as hell. Actually made him look credible, even though he got beat down with a quarter of what Cena did. This was like the 9/11 of Monday Night RAW, except pleasant, I think any Smarks marked out for it, and normal fans were just stunned. Amazing.

I'm speechless right now. My jaw was dropped the entire time.

Once I saw Barrett, I was excited. Then I saw Tarver and my excitement slightly dropped. But then all 8 rookies showed up and I was in awe. They beat down the biggest star and face in the company! All of these rookies are now officially over. They made their statement. They demolished the entire set and crew, with the exception of Cole who ran off. They even choked out Justin Roberts with his own tie! This is something I dont think I will ever forget. It was just unbelievable.

As for what will come from this, I think Barrett will get himself into the championship match at F4W, and if not F4W, at the next PPV. The rest of the group will likely run rampant through the entire roster, possibly taking every belt on the show. I cant wait for next week, as well as NXT just so I can watch it again.

Excuse my irritation expressed here, but what the **** are you people talking about? Best ending in years? This is the most pathetic form of "wrestling" storyline I've seen in my almost 20 years as a WWE fan.

I suppose the "shock" was supposed to keep me tuned-in to next week, right? WRONG...just the opposite. I will NEVER watch the WWE again. If that was "PG" material, then thank God we don't have the "Attitude Era" happening now. If we did, would we see one of the NXT guys start to rape one of the ringside attendants?

Sports entertainment....nothing sporty or entertaining about dismantling the company's flagship show & its employees. I don't care what that company is trying to accomplish or establish with this storyline...it was DISGUSTING. The following is the e-mail feedback I left for WWE:

I have been a WWE fan for the past 18 years. Thoughout all of the various "eras" in WWE over these 18 years, I have been witness to a variety of business conditions, roster changes, and storylines low and high. I have attended more live events than what I can count, own a variety of merchandise, and have stayed supportive of this business throughout my 18 years as a fan.

The ending of RAW on 6/7/10, featuring the NXT rookies was one of the most absolutely, if not THE most disgusting things I have ever seen. I don't know what this storyline plans to accomplish, but I can assure you, there was nothing sports-related or entertaining about watching this.

You want to create a lot of "bad heat" for the fans? I'm exposed to watching a bunch of second-rate wrestlers basically overtake the company's flagship show, beat-down most every single employee by ringside, incapacitate the "face" of the company, and I'm to believe not one wrestler from the back or Vince McMahon would've come out to stop this absolute dismantling of the props, the ring, every person?

This segment has absolutely disgusted me. The WWE is so "PG" right, ending this episode with nothing but a lame "Attitude Era" storyline. You can't have it both ways. What the hell has this company come to, when it's about such a disturbing storyline, and not about MEN facing MEN in matches?

You have severly ruptured any trust I have in thinking this company knows how to put on an entertaining show. I hope the "bad heat" was worth it, because kayfabe or not, storyline or not, this disgusting 10 minutes of free-form violence has completely turned me off to your "product" altogether. You can thank your writers, Vince McMahon, and the willing rookie participants that soured 18 years of fandom in 10 minutes.

Will I be heard by the offices of WWE? Not likely, but I am not ending my support without my effort of being heard. Good luck burying your company Vince McMahon...hope the heat was worth losing this fan.

I completely disagree with you. You didn't like the ending...that's OK. It was brilliance though and mark my words, ratings will soar if WWE play this right. We don't need to go back to blood and blading, but this was a damn good Raw ending and I give WWE utmost credit for doing this, since nothing like this has been seen for the last 10 years. Trust me, far from burying his company, this will help WWE and will improve ratings. WWE just "upped" their game on a major scale.

anyone else think maybe Vince is behind this group, and maybe this is what he meant when he told Bret Hart that "some decisions will not be easy".

Any which way you cut it,.... those rookies are gonna have some big names after them when all is said and done.

And in the WWE's eyes, I think this was a major plus. Look at all the people talking about it already. How many are gonna tune in for tomorrow's episode of NXT now?

Orton is injured, so watch them "do over" Orton next week, forcing Barrett into the F4W. Either way, if it doesn't happen now, that WWE title is going to be around Barrett's waist fairly soon, whoever he has to beat (fairly or not).

^This^ right here? Just proof that WWE did a damn good job tonight. To generate real emotion in an 18 year fan, probably a pretty rare feat. It's a shame he's over reacting a bit and will be cheating himself out of a (potentially) great storyline. Oh well. His loss.
They really have to continue this well and make the NXT guys look strong, supplementing their inexperience with pure strength in numbers. Goof Luck WWE; you just generated a world of interest in your product, don't fuck it up.

Or they screw it up again, just like they did the invasion angle, burying every wrestler involved in the storyline.

Two things. First, just a word of advice, explain your posts here, these mods are very strict about "spam" posts.

Secondly, won't happen, because most of the guys involved are home grown talent. If they were WCW or TNA castoffs, then I can see them burying them just like it had been done before. But these guys all came up through the development system, and the WWE decided to make these guys stars in the best way possible.

I'll say it for the third time, the best use of the takeover angle in many many years.

I'm trying to be positive about this and hope for the best. Let's hope they DON'T make the same mistakes as they did with the invasion angle. There's hope, because the NXTWO made FAR more of an impact on Raw than the "invasion" ever did. To me, that's promising. I would hope that WWE don't blow it this time.

How great would it be if a new Michael Cole heel character set this all up. He's tired of being called a poor man's JR and tired of being looked over. So he organized the whole thing. Kinda like Bischoff and the nwo. Might make for some cool TV. Or at least give Cole a boost.

WTF is going on?? i understand everyone is excited best ending in 10 years i think not....the rookies from nxt destroy the top baby face of the company cool good way to make an impact...raws locker rooms is a bunch oh *****es no one came out to help..u literally had 15 people laying outside of the ring in one inside and all they do is get a strecher for Cena? The King is laid out under the announce table..matt striker got hit like once..wasn't he a wrestler? the bell ringer/time keeper whatever got choked out with his pink tie...granted the destruction was cool...But i think they could have atleast left everyone laying around just getting Cena shows disrespect to the other employees and the fact the whole Raw locker room/no came out besides punk officials i mean i just think it could have been a bit better

dont you think its these reactions the WWE are looking for in the fans that think the product has gotten stale im 26 and have been watching all my life and this was just awesome its your lose if your not gonna watch anymore but it looks like we got the beginning of a great story line and possibly a monster stable

I will first preface this by saying I am not a Cena Fan not even close to being one...But WOW is all I can say I never saw this coming and I even felt sorry for Cena (and punk) Im wondering now if the Current roster will band together to put these NXT Rookies in their place? Only time will tell this was by far the best segment of the night and I am anxious to see where the writers are going to go from here I would like to see it continued on Smackdown this was amazing to say the least. I was reallty impressed.

I think having Punk as one of the guys included in the carnage made more of an impact. If it had been someone like Mysterio, then it would have been less interesting and just another heel alliance run-in on a couple babyfaces. But of course, as always, 99% of the camera focus was on Cena. But that's how it is as usual. Some more camera shots of Punk, Gallows laid out would have added a little bit more to the NXT vs. WWE story they just created. I don't know, once I thought I heard they were going to break out the Wargames match at some point, I'm not saying it's heading that way, but this could be a path towards that.

No one came out because that would have ruined the "surprise" element. Switching to kayfabe mode, imagine that it's the end of the show and most of the guys have probably left for the night. So no one was left to help Cena....it's the shock factor. CM Punk tried to help Cena though, which is shocking in itself.

Maybe next week, the entire Raw locker room *will* get involved and you'll see a mass brawl, but tonight was all about the "shock" factor and the beatdown of the WWE Champion.

I thought this was a PERFECTLY done angle. I figured there would be one or two homers that wouldnt like this, but man... I'm floored with how many of you are in agreement of this being something fresh and exciting. I think that there will be some storyline building on this. It is going to be a fun RAW to see next week!

Ive been a WWE Fan for 20 Years and I too was shocked by the ending of RAW. I agree it is one of the Best Endings to RAW,perhaps of all time. I like John Cena but it made sense for him to be the one to take the beating the most. My mouth was wide open in the entire time it was going on and I for one can't wait to see what happens with it. I could see Wade Barrett cashing in his Title Match at Fatal 4 Way if Randy Orton can't go at the PPV. Im also starting to think they could have been the ones who took out Undertaker. I dunno how anyone can bash this it just got all those Guys WAY OVER.

I thought this was absolutely brilliant and definitely the best ending to a Raw in years! What a great way to get all of these guys back on tv and make an impact! I particularly love how they're ultra-heel now, even the super babyfaces like Danielson and Justin Gabriel. They were mostly wearing black and I love the mass destruction! There is potential for this group to be around for a while, with Barrett, Bryan, & Gabriel all having potential to be main eventers. It reminded me of the Monday night wars when every week was surprising...A++!

^^^it makes sense when u break it down that way but the one strecher for Cena and only one medical unit??lol i mean lets try to make it a bit more realistic when it comes to things like that..i'm curious to see what will happen though i wont say it doesnt have my intrest and i wont kill this before its properly introduced

Well WWE dropped a few wrestlers a few months ago so why can't these guys come back, they Beatdown the top Face and Heel of the company right now. It would have been good to have seen Evan Bourne run out and then get beaten up like hell though.

Justin getting choked with his own tie was fucking genius!

I was watching Wade then it cut to Garver(who looks really awesome with the bandana) and thinking whys he there to maybe get a two man jump on Cena then i see a few more from the other side and i was like "Ooooh" they're going to destroy anything in there way.

I have been watching WWE all my, and without a doubt, this is one of the most shocking endings to ever happen on Raw. They already had 3 potential stars from the NXT roster (Barrett, Otunga, and Bryan) but now they just made 8, including Tarver. This is what people have been waiting for and now its here!!! I hope Bryan Barrett and Otunga are the leaders because they can all have mic skills. Slater looked very impressive, which is a shock, as well as someone who I feel is a sleeper, Skip Sheffield. He has that look to be dominant. In all, great segment, if you don't like it, don't watch the WWE product, you have TNA and ROH. I watch all 3 but was way more enthused about this than anything that's been happening on the other shows.

It very easy to now see that the NXT Rookies are the ones behind Undertakers beating also. Hopefully they build it up for a few more weeks having them continue to beat down random superstars on Raw and SD before finally beating down Kane and announcing they were the ones who took out the Undertaker.
