He improved tremendously since he first stepped foot in TNA. Go watch some of his promos from 2003 or even 2005 they're holy shit bad.
Working with Christian and Angle really helped him a ton, because by 2007 he was doing A-OK.
I've seen those. People today say that's the reason they don't buy him as a main eventer. I personally do buy him as a main eventer. He's not a character that needs to be the greatest talker ever. He gets his points across and it's fine. Then he backs it up with great wrestling. Very Bret Hart-esque.
