Actually I don't think that. What I do think is the truth: America is a Republic, as in a system where the masses select a small group of people to make laws. This is more commonly known as Congress. In a democracy, everyone in the country would have a direct vote on every law proposed. We don't do this because there are a lot of people in this nation and it would take a lot of time.
So that makes English and Social Studies that you apparently failed in.
