I fucking hate moderators

you guys do a great job with arranging the forum and it is easy to operate on. But I feel that to many threads are marked as spam and moved incorrectly. I think that you guys do to good of a job, and a little but more of a laxer atmosphere is needed. Also of course I dont want kb to die and I dont think he is nazi, but I do think this thread was a success. It showed that their is a percentage of posters who feel oppressed and mayb an examination of the rules is needed. I still dont see why a forum like this needs to be so grammatically and stringently done. The message IMO is more important than the grammar.

When did we make you a mod? Why wasn't I informed of this?

If we can't understand the grammar, how the hell are we gonna understand the message?

I've actually gained more respect for certain mods here as a result of this thread. But I still think there are issues.
No one is going to agree completely on the best way to run a forum. Even the Staff debates on things sometimes. In the older days, before I settled down and got nicer, and before KB decided that I was usually more right than he was (;) to avoid the Infraction), he and I would have flat out wars over the best way to run the forum. I think we once debated over a Spam Infraction for five hours.

You'll never get everyone to agree on the best way to do something, when you have this many people. All you can hope for is that, no matter how you do something, you do it fairly for all members. And that's what we strive for.

Your grammar doesn't actually get you discipline, aside from people making fun of you. As far as a more lax atmosphere goes, you'll be hard pressed to find a more relaxed atmosphere on a wrestling forum than what we have in the Cage. There are sites which have forums with no rules, but I wouldn't call those relaxed atmospheres.

When did we make you a mod? Why wasn't I informed of this?
Shit, I've been meaning to talk to you about this. When I made you Admin, it was only as a practical joke. So, you see why people don't come to you with these things.

Complete anarchy will be the death of this forum but a more flexible system is what's needed to improve it's membership and it's atmosphere. I also think there is too much of a feeling of formality in the non Cage and GSD sections. Infracting someone for for a dilute insult like 'gay' or 'idiot' is just such a slap in the face for something minor.

If the rest of the forum was like The Cage this place would suck.

In here I can call you a cock loving ******. Imagine something like that happening every time someone disagreed wit you in the non-spam sections.

You want shit posts to be kept, but shit posts will lead to less people being interested in joining this forum. This forum is professional looking so as to be attractive to people. Bad grammar/posts that are illogical would make it look amateurish (despite the professional looking layout), which in turn makes the forum unattractive to new users.

there is a percentage of posters on your side. you and 1 poster. That makes like 0.0001%. If the moderators cater to the 0.0001% the forum will die.

Let me guess. You'd prefer "******".

He's still telling the truth and there is a very anxious atmosphere every except for the Cage and GSD and many more people would join if it was more realxing and happiness radiated.

I never said I was , nor would I want to be a mod

And that's my point: you have no idea what we mark as spam and what we don't. You have no idea what the rules for the staff are. You have no idea what our process is for deciding punishments. Stop pretending you do.

Do Slyfox and Klunderbunker have equal power?

There are about a million jokes there, none of which you would get.

And what were the disagreements about?

And that is none of your business.

If you think the rules are strict now you should have been here before the spam rule was toned down.
Yup. You can thank me for spearheading that movement YEARS ago, and IC25 and Shocky for taking a chance on it.

I actually agree with you the cage is lax, and is exactly how I would like you guys to run the whole site, not just one section.
It used to be that way. Again, I invite you to visit the Wrestling Archives. You'll see how shitty the forum used to be.
Do Slyfox and Klunderbunker have equal power?
Yes and no.

We're both Admins and have the same ability to do things, but I'm clearly the smarter one, so...you know....

:)

And what were the disagreements about?
KB wanted a stricter spam rule, and I wanted what we currently have. This was back before either of us was an Admin. That was just one things. We've butted heads many many times.

Fuck...how in the hell do I keep setting Klunker up like that?

Complete anarchy will be the death of this forum but a more flexible system is what's needed to improve it's membership and it's atmosphere.
You're talking solely about quantity. Because I assure you, with a more flexible system, quality goes down. I've been on many wrestling forums, and I can attest to that.

If this forum dealt with a different subject matter, we might could do a lighter spam rule. But wrestling historically caters to children and idiots, and so our rules have to observe the philosophy, and protect quality posting.

Infracting someone for for a dilute insult like 'gay' or 'idiot' is just such a slap in the face for something minor.
Idiot, by itself, is not an Infractable offense. Gay, on the other hand, is a homophobic slur, and the WrestleZone Forums do not condone, or tolerate, the breeding of prejudice.
