Im sure what I will say has been said a million times before, but yea, weird fuckin teams. was Evan Bourne on the good guy team? I forget.

The look of befuddlement when Bret's music played probably borders on "void of description"....I just dont understand it. I mean, I suppose it works since its a tag match, so he can tag in, deliver some licks, tag back out, but still.

Makes you wish they would have made this thing dual branded....how fucking HUGE would it have been if fucking Undertaker's music hit, and it turned out Nexus were the ones who took him out?

but meh on this. Nexus should win, they need to have some form of legitimacy, its too early to have them getting beat just yet. Should be a semi cool build up.

I know I am dreaming here, but I would love if the WWE would make this a WAR GAMES match. They don't need the double ring, just the Hell In The Cell cage and stagered entrances, or they could use the Elimination Chamber cage and alternate team members that are unlocked.

I think this would help Nexus get over. If they have Nexus get the numbers advantage right off, they could pretty much do the beat down style the have been doing all along. It would also take some of the focus off of each single member and put it on them as a whole.

I think this idea wold also benefit Khali and Bret, having more action going on would distract from the lack of Khalis ring skill and Brets stroke,

If it stays a regular tag team affair, I see the end coming when eight members are fighting on the outside of the ring and we get a Sharp Shooter, STF, and the Walls Of Jericho all at the same time, making Nexus tap and ending what could have been a great match.

I'm really not feeling this match. It makes alot more sense to me to make it an elimination tag match. It'd be a hell of alot more exciting but I assume there's no chance considering Survivor Series is approaching. As long the better wrestlers are given a majority of the time, it could be worth watching. I'm also unsure about the Brett Hart taking part in it. I really hope they replace him with someone like Triple H and have Brett at ringside, or something along those lines.

Last night's RAW had this match looking great, now I'm looking forward to it even more with the introduction of Elimination rules. Like I've said in the thread for The Nexus, it does help them book the faction stronger because they won't be loosing through a weak link. It also sets up for a better handling if the whole victory if they decimate John's team slowly.

I also loved the tension building within the Cena team, some truths coming around and all that, I could definitely agree with Edge, and I would also much rather watch Ted DiBase on the team than John Morrison and Khali. Same goes with R-Truth really, I don't care for any of the Cena team members that aren't main event wrestlers. And it's a shame it has to be that way just because a large amount of the crowd loves them.

Here's to The Nexus winning this one, perhaps Wade vs John Cena in the end with Cena actually getting defeated by Wade? I can dream at least?

I cannot tell you how happy I am that they made this match, an elimination match. But in my mind it had to have that as the stipulation for this to work and for it to also be a great match. I am very much looking forward to this match and as it stands right now, it is getting way more hype and build for the pay-per-view than both of the world title matches. I can only hope that this is the main event match for SummerSlam because it is the hottest angle the WWE has going right now and it's also probably the most anticipated match at the event. Not to mention the build has been phenomenal.

right when bret hart's music hit i was shocked. i thought john cena would have picked a better wrestler than bret hart. now everyone knows cena's team will win. i was suprised that evan bourne wasn't on the team after what evan has been involved in like teaming with cena against big name wrestlers and getting beat up by nexus.:suspic:

I am so glad that they added the elimination stipulation too this match should make it tons better and also longer which is needed. I predict that it will come down to Cena and Barret as the last two from each team and they go at it for maybe 10 minuites before The Nexus ultimately gets the win. There is no way they are losing here, they have only just started and they havent even revealed their leader or their "greater good" yet. If anyone thinks Cenas team is winning here they are crazy, they wont win yet. Maybe at Survivor Series similar to the invasion angle, The Alliance picks up the win at Invasion but ultimately team WWF wins at Survivor Series, thats how I see this angle going down.

Back too the match and the only question I have is, are The Nexus ready to main event Summerslam? I have no doubt that this will close the show so are they ready. In terms of heat then they most certainly are but in terms of in ring work (bar Barret/Gabriel) they still look like well rookies, and I'm not sure that that is good enough to ME the 2nd biggest PPV of the year.

If Cena joins Nexus, that doesn't make him heel. It makes them face. Maybe the next night on Raw Nexus could carry Cena out on a throne King Mabel style. He could knight them with spinny pendants from the shopzone. Ooh! They could be a "N" that spins in circles so sometimes it looks like a "Z". In the end, it's revealed that Tom Zenk was behind this whole thing from the start.

Wonderful to see the Elimination stip put on. Im a Nexus fan and I want to see this match last at least 30 min. I dont quite expect Trips to come back yet. The Cena heel turn seems like it could work if WWE will actually do it. I believe now we understand why the peices of Cenas team were put in place. With the inner fueds it seems promising. As far as R Truth goes he does have a place in the fued. He has been attacked by the Nexus twice and has been involved in every instance where the Raw locker room has chased Nexus. I know for a fact he was attacked along with Bourne and the Hart Dyn. a few weeks back. I still see this match going in Nexus' way. Seems likely that Cena could turn heel with all the little hints he has dropped. And I believe WWE was testing the waters with the almost joining Nexus 2 weeks ago. They just wanted to make sure it will work. So thats what I see happening. I do believe Trips has something to do in this a little later on down the road though.

Nexus will defo win otherwise the whole thing would have been pointless, personally I reckon Bret Hart will turn on his team and I also think John Morrison is goin to turn fully heel either by or at SS..

I think it's pretty obvious that The Nexus is going to win. It should be a fun match, but the payoff for this is ultimately HOW The Nexus is going to pull off the win. I won't be surprised if Bret Hart turns heel and ultimately turns on his team, causing them to lose the match. Having Hart be a mentor/manager of Nexus gives him something to do and keeps him as part of a prominent storyline.

Then again, I might be completely wrong on that. Maybe something unexpected will happen or someone unexpected will show up and make some sort of impact in the match. Either way, I'm interested in seeing the match.

I'm going to go on a limb and say Brian Danielson will return (he'll be hiding underneath the ring). He could help either team and either way it wont hurt the losing team and it will give him a HUGE push. This will allow Nexus to lose but not lose credibility but if he helps Nexus I think it'll push them to a whole other level and lead to the obvious turn on them.

I can definitely see the win going to Team Nexus. John Cena will turn on Team WWE or something like that. This match will not be a clean finish. This should be pretty decent though. I'm interested to see how much of a role Bret Hart serves, if he'll actually wrestle or if he'll take over more of a managerial role and be replaced. I have huge hopes for Team Nexus in this match, I'd like to see each member get his own little individual showcase.

hmm.. im going to say maybe Cena betrays team RAW but there's too many possibility's to call right now, but it would be very Austin/invasion like

As you all know, Cena has formed a team to beat Nexus at SS. While I was watching Raw 2nite, I was thinking of alot of things what Cena might do. First he said, "If you can't beat'em...." I thought he was gonna join Nexus. He took Darren Young's arm band yesterday at MITB, so I thought that's it, a possible "heel" turn or that when he joins, Triple H might come out and be the savior. Now while they were annoucning the team, I was just praying that HHH was gonna come out. And in the past WZ news, I've been reading that HHH was gonna turn heel soon or that he was the leader of NXT. I was thinking, join the Cena Team for SS and then HHH will take out all of them with Nexus and have his Heel Turn.

Well now that this idea is in the gutter, what do you guys think? And having Bret Hart come back, great, but him wrestling? I better hope he actually wrestles and dons the pink and black. I really wanna see him do that.
:wtf:

well HHH got injured for real and is probably out til NOC....and i think that brett is not actually going to wrestle i hope that they injure him again and get bourne....quick question kinda off topic...why is cenas team known as team wwe but everyone of them is on the raw brand

This match is really getting my hopes up now. I think it's a shame that Jericho and Edge had to leave the team, because quite frankly they're the only reason I'd want to watch team RAW wrestle. I love The Nexus however so they make up for it in every way.

I think it's an interesting thing that they decided to split them away however. I mean sure it creates for them to keep themselves heels, as well as it gives the opportunity to create a face team against the heel Nexus (Or tweeners, I'm not sure. I think they're tweeners). I can only hope though that it creates for more of a buzz between the team mates. I don't want to watch a team that gets along in this manner, when I could in fact be watching a team crumbling from within. I liked the build-up for the Survivor Series 2004, guess why? Triple H's team were crumbling from within. It creates excitement, a buzz and ultimately, it keeps fans tuning in.

I have a feeling that jericho and edge will make there own team and compete against the nexus and team wwe.

Team wwe will most likely have Evan bourne and Mark Henry join them to make up the 7.

Edge and Jerichos team could be: Edge, Jericho, Ted di biase, The usos and two other....

What are your thoughts on this?

This is just my opinion and have read nothing with even mentioned this happening.

SO think about it hypothetically.

i don't know, can a 21 men triple threat tag team elimination match work? i just think that would be way too much. with edge and jericho v bret and cena in a nexus lumber jack match, i see edge and jericho returning to the team. everyone will come together and you will see team raw stand strong at the end of raw, only to have cena turn on them at summerslam.

I dont see a 7v7v7 match happening or working real well. In my opinion, what is happening, is that team WWE is playing mind games with the NEXUS. They are tryin to get the NEXUS to think they are not on the same page. At SS, team WWE will be on the same page.

If I remember right (could be wrong as I dont watch nxt) but didnt they have the pros, rookies and nexus in an elimination match against each other?

I like the idea of cena turning, dont see it happening though... Unless it coincides with Jericho turning as well

Interesting idea but I don't see it happening at SummerSlam. They'd have to have a WAR GAMES type match to be able to have enough room to do it.

It will be cool to see if this all continues to Survivor Series and to see what the teams are for that.

Where do you get this idea??

It will never work...if it does..the expect the booking to be crap as helll...21 men!! 14 is enough...

Edge and Jericho may just join in the end only for one of them to turn their backs on the team..thats my prediction..they will be doing something in that match!

Unfortunately this storyline is going to be to predicatable.

During the show the will show Khali deciding to join Nexus or not, and it looks like he is leaning towards joining them.

The rest of the show will be filled with how much dissencion there has been between team Raw (I will not call them team WWE seeing as this storyline only affect Raw and not the rest of the WWE).

Then the main event Cena and Hard Vs Edge and Jericho with Nexus as lumberjacks. Just as the match is about to begin Edge and Jericho look like they are about to leave the ring and leave Cena and Hart to the mercy of the Nexus, then just as Nexus is about to pounce on them the rest of team Raw including Jericho and Edge come out and they all beat down the nexus, before nexus finally escapes, and the raw team all raising each others hands in victory

Raw goes off the air with Micheal Cole saying, Team Raw is unified and ready for summerslam. (This would sound better with JR :OMG THE RAW TEAM FOOLED US ALL, LOOK AT THEM, THEY ARE TOGETHER. OMG WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN AT SUMMERSLAM)

Does anyone else see this as a replay of the nWo angle? I mean a year in WCW Champion the Giant, never got attacked by the nWo until after Hogan's thing (i.e. Sheamus deal with Nexus not to attack him) Nexus the outside force, WWE banding together to fight them i.e. Flair, Anderson, Sting, Luger, Savage, banding together to fight for WCW.

Now if this trend continues, then Jericho or Edge wont go back to the team and the mystery partner will turn on the WWE and be brought in as the leader of Nexus (i.e. Hogan with the outsiders coming out to "help" WCW and turning on WCW) Now this is just how it has played out so far so I don't think Edge and Jericho will form their own team.

I actually was thinking the same thing, but I would have The Hart Dynasty as part of Cena's team, and have Evan Bourne/Mark Henry with Edge/Jerichos team (unless they have the Harts Dynasty face Gallows/Mercury at Summerslam)
