If you read my posts above this you will see that I explained twice that I was responding to topics in the general sense rather than referring to the case which had been put before us. But yes to answer this point- memory isn't the same as rational thought. You can have flashbacks and later regain memories in which very little rational thought existed. Or at least I have- no firmer knowledge beyond my own experience so I could very well be wrong.

It's a shitty situation, man. I recommend two things:
1) Let your employer know that you're going through a bad breakup right now: in my opinion, finding out that someone you still love is sleeping with someone else is just as bad as finding out that a beloved family member or friend has died. If people aren't understanding of a personal situation like this, then they are fucking assholes, plain and simple. So, let your boss know what's what so he/she can account for any change in your work performance.

Listen, I'm a man with a penis so I'm a tad bit biased about my stance on this situation. The way I see it, if the guy "raped" the girl then she needs to officially accuse him of such. If she says things like, "He practically held me down and had sex with me" or "My friends forced me to have sex with him" then that just means she got herself too drunk and was extremely irresponsible.
Too many things point to her being at fault here. We need to look at it this way:
1) She just broke up with Monkey, so she was newly single.
2) In being newly single, she decided to go out and get loaded at a party.
3) She knew there were guys at this party that she was even remotely attracted to, and still got drunk regardless.
Two out of three of these factors are completely irresponsible. Now, by NO means am I exonerating the guy of any wrong doing. If a girl says no, she means no. But, this girl can't even remember saying no (unless I missed that somewhere in this thread). All we can see is that she regretted having sex with the man, which says to me that the alcohol blurred some of her standards and morals but she still knew what was going on.
