UWF: Mock Draft V

Brian Pillman vs. Tajiri

During the week leading up to tonight’s event, it was announced on PWF.com that Brian Pillman’s opponent tonight is Tajiri. Both will wrestle tonight to gain a spot in the Cruiserweight championship match next week against last week’s winner, Dean Malenko.

Both men meet in the centre of the ring, standing toe to toe. Once the bell rings, both men lock up which leads to Tajiri to the ropes. Upon hitting them, Tajiri manages to hit a Handspring back elbow, taking both men off their feet. It doesn't take long for both men to make it to their feet, once again locking up. Pillman delivers a series of chops, forcing Tajiri into the corner. Pillman goes for the ten punches atop the turnbuckle, though upon a fifth punch, he's pushed off onto the mat, landing flat on his back. Both competitors spend the next portion of the match trading a series of high-impact moves, which leads to Pillman hitting a succession of flying cross bodies and standing dropkicks. When it looked like it was all over for Tajiri when Pillman went for a Modified cross armbar, he managed to wriggle out the submission, out of nowhere spitting his Asian mist directly into the eyes of Pillman. With the referee looking concerned, he gets in the face of Tajiri, warning him that such a dirty tactic will earn him a disqualification next time. By the time Tajiri turns round, Pillman's made it to his feet resting on the ropes, where he manages to hit his finishing manoeuvre Air Pillman. He then applies a modified cross armbar where Tajiri gives his all trying to make it to the ropes, but gives in to Pillman's submission.

Winner: Brian Pillman

Mr. Perfect makes his way to the ring, unannounced, wearing his street clothes. Upon entering the ring, he stares down the crowd, grinning with microphone in hand.

Mr. Perfect: Last week, I was screwed out of my Intercontinental championship. The referee screwed me. Just watch the tape, that was a fast count. Ricky, you didn't earn that championship last week. I know what you're like. You'll go to any length to win. I have it on good word that you paid that damn referee to pull a fast count on me.

A short pause ensues, where the crowd proceed to boo Mr. Perfect.

Mr. Perfect: Now, Ricky, I want me rematch. And I want it tonight!

Shane McMahon's music hits the arena, slowly makes his way to the entrance ramp. The crowd is hot.

Shane McMahon: Mr. Perfect, I've had enough of this. All week, you've been calling me, begging me for this rematch. And quite honestly, I don't think you deserve it. After reviewing the tape numerous times, in slow motion and fast motion, I've come to the conclusion that it wasn't a fast count at all. But, in the interest of fairness, I'll give you a match tonight. You win; you get your title match against Ricky Steamboat next week. You lose, you quit your whining and you will never receive a Intercontinental title shot again here at PWF.

Mr. Perfect looks on, content with McMahon's decisions. The camera cuts to a commercial.

Terry Funk vs. Smash

After last weeks brutal beat down, Terry Funk has been placed in yet another match with a member of Demolition. As this rivalry continues, will Funk finally get a win in the era of “Demolition Domination”?

The match starts off slow paced, Smash taking control. This week, he clearly has the advantage, as Funk is still fighting off the effects from last weeks attack. Lots of chops and clotheslines are traded between the two men, until Funk gains control after a devastating brainbuster. The hardcore legend works on the upper body with numerous DDT's and sleeper holds. The other half of Demolition, Ax, makes his way to ringside, an obvious distraction. He cheers on Ax, who by now has regained control of the match. Funk is thrown to the outside, and with Smash distracting the referee, gives Ax a chance to lay in a few shots. Funk manages to overcome them, and sends him through the barrier. The referee manages to lose control once Windham makes his way to ringside, laying a beat down on a helpless Funk. All three men attack him until they're split up by officials, once again leaving Funk in a bloody heap.

Winner: Terry Funk by DQ

It was announced later that night that Funk has challenged Demolition to a tag-team match next week, promising a surprise partner, guaranteeing victory.

Mr. Perfect vs. ???

Earlier tonight, it was announced by Shane McMahon that in order for Mr. Perfect to get a rematch for the Intercontinental championship, he would have to faced an unnamed opponent. An added stipulation was announced that if Mr. Perfect loses his match tonight, he will never get another Intercontinental title show during his tenure in PWF.

After Mr. Perfect makes his way to the ring, he waits around anxiously, until the music of none other than ‘The Beast from The East’ Bam Bam Bigelow!

The former World Champion, Bam Bam Bigelow makes his way to the ring, thudding his chest, clearly pumped up and happy to be here. Bigelow controls the first portion of the match with his array of power moves – gorilla press slams, powerboms, vertical suplexes. He spent most time working on the back of Perfect, which showed when Perfect went to hit his Perfectplex, with his backing giving in, sending him down to the mat. Once Perfect regained control of the match, he unleashed his arsenal of submission moves, clearly looking to work on the limbs of Bigelow. After numerous attempts to make Bigelow submit failed, he made his way to the outside, grabbing a chair. Instantly, the referee notices this, forcefully knocking the chair out of his hand. This gives Perfect a perfect opportunity to hit a low blow, which sets up nicely for the Perfectplex. Successfully, he hits it. But upon hitting the ground, the pain evidently got to Perfect who by now was writhing around the mat. This gave Bigelow the chance to recover, able to make a pin, but to no avail.

The match carried on in Bigelow’s favour, until Bobby Heenan makes a surprise appearance, seemingly at the aid of Perfect. Upon his entrance, he distracts Bigelow, giving Perfect enough time to make it to his feet, attacking Bigelow from behind, and once again hitting a Perfectplex. This time he manages the three count. Upon winning, Heenan enters the ring, raising the hand of Perfect. While it seems Perfect has chosen Heenan to stay by his side, he looks in agony on his way up to the ramp. Will he be in perfect condition for next weeks championship match?

Winner: Mr. Perfect

Chris Benoit vs. Kurt Angle

After last week’s controversies, both Kurt Angle and Sting have been placed in separate matches. For them to advance forward to earn a World Heavyweight title shot, both men will meet an opponent. This week, Kurt Angle will be in action against Chris Benoit. The winner of this match will advance forward to week number four, where they will face the winner of next week’s match, which will feature Sting and an unnamed opponent. These two winners will then face off at the fourth pay-per-view. The winner of that match will go on to receive a World Heavyweight title shot against Bret Hart at the fifth and final pay-per-view, in a match of Bret Hart's choosing.

Both men, who have met many times before, stare each other down, knowing what’s in store. The action starts when punches are traded, followed up by some heavy chop shots by Chris Benoit. Suplexes follow, with both men dishing out a violent assault of fast, high-impact German suplex’s. Benoit gets the better of Angle when he manages to hit him with a devastating piledriver, leaving Angle temporarily dazed. With Angle on the mat, Benoit follows up with a Crippler Crossface attempt, but its cut short when Angle manages to make it to the ropes.

Benoit carries on working the neck of Angle, exploiting his previous injuries. A superplex follows, after which Benoit proceeds to make his way to the top rope, looking for a Diving headbutt. The manoeuvre is cut short when Angle makes it to his feet, charges Benoit and hits him with a overhead belly to belly takeover. This gives Angle a chance to recuperate and make his way to his feet. Angle controls the next portion of the match, working the legs and ankles of Benoit, clearly weakening him for his submission finale.

When the match comes to a close, it’s Angle who manages to get the better of Benoit. After reversing the Crippler Crossface, Angle had Benoit in the middle of the ring, snapping his Ankle which by now had suffered enormous damage. Benoit, in a weakened state, gave all he had to fight it off, but in the end was unsuccessful. Angle proceeds to win the match by submission, thus advancing to face the winner of next week’s match.

Winner: Kurt Angle

Bret Hart vs. Ricky Steamboat

It was announced at the beginning of tonight’s show that both the Heavyweight Champion and Intercontinental champion would meet in the ring tonight to prepare for future title defences. No titles will be on the line in this match.

With both participants in the ring, the bell sounds. A series of punches and chops are traded between both men, neither gaining a clear advantage. Steamboat winds up hitting a neck breaker slam, leaving Bret open for Steamboat to lock in a double chickenwing. Bret manages to escape with little struggle, realising tonight’s match isn’t going to be an easy one. Hart takes it to Steamboat, hitting a perfect bulldog, followed by a pendulum backbreaker. Hart remains on the offence, managing to lock in several sharpshooters, all resulting in rope breaks.

Bret makes it is goal to take out Steamboats legs, even applying a figure four leg lock using the ring post to utilize more pressure. With no clear sign of giving up, Hart works on the back, hitting several snap suplex’s, resulting in a failed superplex attempt. Steamboat counters, and hits a diving crossbody off the top rope. The match carries on fast paced, with no clear sign of a winner. Steamboat even applies a sharpshooter on Hart, who successfully makes it to the ropes.

The match sadly comes to a quick end when Mr. Perfect makes a run to the ring, attacking Steamboat. While Perfect lays a beat down, Hart grabs a chair from ringside and proceeds to hit Perfect with it over the head. Both Hart and Steamboat attack Perfect, but he manages to make it to the outside of the ring and head to the back. Hart then raises the hand of Steamboat as a sign of respect, as both men hug and shake hands.

And much more!

It seems me and Sam are the only people reliable in this thing...everyone else either gets banned or doesn't write up a show.

After long negotiations with Matt (basically me begging for Kurt Angle) we came to a deal. Well, two deals.

The first was my Brock Lesnar for his Chris Benoit.

The second was my Rhino for his Bam Bam Bigelow.

I dont want to forefit the round.. just use my results i figure even if i get one vote its still worth it, one thing if someone takes over cages card make sure u check to make sure he didnt use his alts to vote himself.

Jeez, cheers Matt.

I havent been banned yet and have written up both shows.

Just cos i had a few issues during the actual draft, i think considering i got my shit in a week early, i have got more reliable as the thing goes on.

Sam;

I may need to forfeit the next round but we will see how things go.

The untradeable Edge and HBK aside, i will consider reasonable offers for anyone.

You're right, I apologize. I forgot you posted your show earlier in the week.

Alright, well, let's get started prepping for the next show:

It's the first UWE show since Redemption, here at the XL Center in Hartford, CT., and you can feel the excitement in the air. On the way to the ring right now is UWE Owner Vince McMahon.

"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to tonight's show. And let me say I am happy to back in my home state of Connecticut. Suffice to say, at least the place hasn't gotten any WORSE since the last time I was here. My limo was shot at twice on the way to the arena.
Anyways, I think there's another man who's glad to be here tonight. This man has been working his ass off since the day he got here, and I'm proud to say that at Redemption, his hard work paid off, and at our next PPV, Spring Showdown, he will face UWE Champion Eddie Guerrero, and that match will be for Guerrero's World Championship. Ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome to Randy Orton!!"
Orton makes his way to the ring, boos cascading down upon him.

"Apparently, you people don't appreciate the lengths I had to go to secure my place as No. 1 contender. It's true that I took out Bobby Lashley. It's true that I made an impact at The Rock's expense. It's true that I wormed my way into the title picture. But if you think that HHH, and your precious People's Champion wouldn't have done the SAME EXACT THING if they had to, you'd all have to be even dumber than you look.
This business is all about being the champ. And if that means I have to lie my way into the title picture, to cheat my way through matches, to steal the wins I need to seal my destiny to be a World Champion, then SO BE IT!!"

"Viva La Raza!!"
UWE Champion Eddie Guerrero is making his way to ring, and the fans are on thier feet cheering!!
"So Randy, you're willing to lie, to cheat, to steal, in order to win? Sounds a little familiar to me!! You think you're dirty? You think you're sneaky? I hit my best friend in the testiculos in order to retain my championship!! And you know what? He forgave me!! Because Rey-Rey, he knows what this title means to me. And if those are the lengths I will go against a friend, against familia, you can only imagine the lengths I will go to defeat a man I despise, a man who attacked me while my back was turned the other night!"

"Save it, Eddie. You're not going to be able to intimidate me. You can't get in my head. I'm the Legend Killer. I thrive off of ending legacies like yours. I've taken out The Rock. I've dealt with HHH. And it'll only be a matter of time before I deal with you and take away your title!"

"You know what, Randy? You're right. You are the Legend Killer. It's only a matter of time before you take the title. So you know what? I'm not going to even bother fighting you. You are too good for me. You can have the title. Here."

Eddie tosses the championship belt to Orton. As Orton goes to catch it, LOW BLOW by Guerrero! And now Eddie gives Orton a DDT on the title belt! And, just for good measure, FROG SPLASH!! He picks up his belt and walks away, leaving Orton laid out on the mat, and Vince McMahon calling for medics.

Backstage, we see Orton getting iced down my medics. Vince McMahon walks into the room. Orton is livid.

"Did you see that?! That was vicious!! That was uncalled for!!"

"Maybe you're right, Randy, but your little exchange made me realize something. Neither of you have any intentions to follow the rules at Spring Showdown. So then, why should I even see to it that the rules be enforced? So, I've made a decision. At Spring Showdown, your match with Eddie Guerrero, will be one where there are no rules. It will be you versus Eddie Guerrero, for the UWE Championship... in a No Holds Barred Match."

Vince walks away, and Orton slowly starts to grin sadistically.

Good Lord, The Legend Killer and Latino Heat in a match with no rules? This is going to be one bloody, brutal match.

Christian Cage is in the Coalition Locker Room, but AJ Styles and Tomko are no where to be found. Cage is on the phone.

"Yo, AJ, it's Cage. Where the hell are you guys? I been looking all over. Call me back."

At that moment, AJ and Tomko make thier way into the room.

"Hey, where the hell you guys been?"

But Tomko is not in the mood. "Shut up, man. We need to talk."
AJ is completely behind Tomko. "The Coalition is supposed to be about us three watching each others' backs. But you been treating us like stooges. You have us interfere in your match against Batista, and we got our asses handed to us. Then Big Show and Kane were able to pick us apart."
Tomko gets in Cage's face. "And YOU didn't even stick around to be in our corner."
AJ starts messing up the room. "And NOW, not only are we not the No. 1 contenders to the tag titles, but BATISTA'S after us!"

Cage looks on calmly. "Listen guys, just calm down. We can take care of Batista... tonight. He's a participant in a battle royal set up to determine the No. 1 contender to my IC title. I've gotten you two into the match. Not only can take care of Batista, but you can make sure that I don't have to face a threat at Spring Showdown. Ooh, let Rikishi win. He's still banged up pretty bad, he won't be healed up for weeks. Or Carlito, let him win. I can beat him. Now, can I count on you guys?"

Tomko nods. "As long as I can get Batista out of my hair."
AJ does a double take. "Uh, Tomko, you don't have any hair."
Tomko shoves AJ out of his way and storms out. Cage turns to AJ.

"Well, can I trust you?"

AJ looks right at Cage. " You'll just have to watch and see."

* * * * * * * * * *

"If ya Smellllllllllll, what The Rock... is... cookin'!"

The People's Champ is making his way to ring, and he looks like he means business.

"Finally, The Rock has come back to Hartford! And The Rock has a couple thoughts running through his mind right, a few opinions on the events that transpired at Redemption the other night, and The Rock would very much like to share his thoughts with the audience, and so that's EXACTLY what The Rock is gonna do.

The Rock lost Redemption, there's no doubt about that. Randy Orton saw his opportunity and he capitalized on it. The Rock gives Randy Orton props for that, but Orton, if you think The Rock is gonna forget that your candy ass screwed The Rock to begin with, then you better think twice, jabroni. Because, whether or not that championship belt is around your waist, The Rock WILL be coming for you. But first, there's a little other business The Rock feels needs to attended to...

Triple H. While The Rock has no problems with how Randy Orton won the match, The Rock has a BIG problem with aftermath of that match. You see, if The Rock hates one thing in the world, it's a jabroni who tries to make an example out of The Rock. You took your eye of the ball for a split-second, and it cost you. And then you went and you took your frustration out on The Rock. You felt the need to bust The Rock open`with a sledgehammer. Well, The Rock does NOT let these things slide. So Triple H, I'm challenging you right now. At Spring Showdown, The Rock wants you in a match. But as for tonight, The Rock knows how to give the people what they want. And I know that the millions-"
AND MILLIONS-
"of The Rock's fans want to see The Rock beat down The Game. So bring it on out here, Triple H, because The Rock sees no problem in layin' down a little practice smackdown on your Ruuuuuuuuudy Poooooooo candy ass before Spring Showdown. Triple H, we are doing this tonight!"

And then the music starts to play, but it's not Triple H's. It's the music of Armando Alejandro Estrada. He comes onto the entrance ramp with his client, Umaga.
"Espirite, espirite, espirite. Hola, Rocky. My name es Arrrrrrmandooooo Alejandrooooo Essstrrrrrrradaaaaa, hahaha! And I have been asked by Triple H, to deliver a message to ju. Ju see, as far as he is concerned, he has finished with ju. However, he had a feeling that ju would not feel the same way. So, Hunter and me, we reached an agreement. He had an idea that benefit both of us. You see, he went to Vince McMahon, and he put in a few good words, and so now, after managing victories over such stars as Kane and Rikishi, I get a chance to move my client up the roster with a victory over ju. You see, at the Spring Showdown Pay-Per-View, it will not be The Rock vs. Triple H. Triple H has challenged someone else. The way he sees it, Triple H only has one person standing in his way of being given No. 1 Contendership. At Spring Showdown, Triple H will face Rey Mysterio. Ju, however, will be facing, the Saaaaamoan Bulldozer... UUUUUUUMAGAAAA!!!"

The Rock is silent for a moment, then raises the microphone.

"The Rock must apologize, to you and the audience. You see, The Rock feels that he just wasted everyone's time. You see, because of that ridiculous accent, The Rock didn't understand a single damn word you just said!! Now, forgive The Rock, please. Allow The Rock to clean out his ears so he can listen a little more closely. Now, let's start from the beginning. Sir, what did you say your name was?"

"I say, my name es Arrrrrrmandoooo-"

"IT DOESN'T MATTER WHAT YOUR NAME IS!! The Rock simply does not care who you are or what you do. The Rock simply wants you to give a message to Triple H and your Saaaaamoan Bushwacker friend-"

"It's not Bushwacker it's Samoan Bulldo-"

"Know your role, and shut your mouth!! Deliver this message. The Rock will get to you, HHH. The Rock will get his chance to layeth the smacketh down on your candy ass. And to you, ya feral, untamed tub o' goo... The Rock doesn't care how big you are, how violent you are, how many other superstars you've beat. To The Rock, you're just another jabroni trying to make a name at The Rock's expense. And The Rock is not the least bit intimidated, so ya know what, jabroni? You can just bring it. IF YA SMELLLLLLLLLLLLLL WHAT THE ROCK... IS COOKIN'!!"

The Rock drops the mic and stares down Umaga, as Armando Estrada attempts to restrain the Samoan Bulldozer. Umaga may not speak English, but I have a feeling that he knows that he's just been disrespected. As unintimidated as The Rock may be, irritating Umaga was NOT the smartest thing to do. When these two meet at Spring Showdown, the confrontation will be colossal.

Thank you. I tell ya, I LOVE writing for The Rock. I had a lot of fun with that promo. I don't know which one I like more, this or the one I did back for Piper's WFW debut.

Personally, I think I'm doing a pretty good job setting up matches for Spring Showdown.
