UWF: Mock Draft V

I cannot do a fancy post like Cage but i will say this.

Genesis will be posted in full by 9pm tonight GMT.

I am very much looking forward to seeing what you guys bring against it. Not that i expect to win of course but i think i have got a load of good fueds going forward.

Everyone seems committed so far, but they usually do around this stage. I hope everybody makes it up until the end.

Well, I have been preaching that everybody stays involved throughout the whole thing, practically begging. I can guarntee that I willl here, obviously Sam, I trust Fizzle and Moses, numbers you scared me with that comment, and TNBT should be good as long as he figures out how to write his show. I think at least 4 of us will be here to the end and hope that everyone is!

Trust me, that isn't very fancy, it took like three minutes to make, since I dont have photoshop, that is about all I can do. I know Sam could blow it out of the water if he wanted too, which he probably will.

Well, I think Cage definately has the promotion part of it down. If his card is as good as his promotion has been, he could be quite a contender in this, a dark horse if you will. I honestly think Matt should be considered the favorite, he has the best roster. Although Sam may win this thing simply because Sam is... well, Sam.

Well, I would like to be considered a dark horse, but its wide open. I am just glad to show everyone that I am worthy of being in this because at the beginning when Cola said he had a feeling someone would drop out, I am pretty sure he was talking about me and I haven't and wont, so I am just glad to have made a reputation of being reliable.

Brains vs Brawn - Single match
Haku Vs the Million Dollar Man Ted Dibiase

DiBiase had the match in control with a sound strategy of working the head and neck of the big Tongan until, after 10 minutes; he tried to lock in the Million Dollar Dream. It was a decision which turned the match. Haku fought out of it before locking in the Tongan Spike which the founder of Money Inc fell to.

General Manager Stephanie McMahon announces that next weeks show will have a huge main event. It will feature the unsuccessful two wrestlers who get to the end of tonight’s Battle Royal for the IPW World Heavyweight Championship. The man who wins the belt tonight will be given the opportunity to choose the stipulation of that event.

Tag Team Title Match – Tornado Tag rules
Kings of Wrestling w/ Sara del Ray and Larry Sweeney Vs The Eliminators

In a brutal match dominated by the Eliminators inside and out the ring, it was the manager Larry Sweeney who proved the difference. With Hero lined up for Total Elimination, Sara Del Ray climbed the apron to distract the referee and Sweeney pushed Hero out of way to make his charge avoid Total Elimination. He takes it instead. Immediately following the diversion, Hero takes out Kronus with the Hero's Welcome and Castagnoli rolls up Saturn for the win.

Light-Heavyweight Talent Showcase (Ultimate X for future title shot)
Jushin Thunder Liger, Petey Williams, KENTA, Tiger Mask
At the end of this spectacular match, the Light Heavyweight title picture is not much clearer.

As Petey Williams hit the devastating Canadian Destroyer on Tiger Mask, Liger nailed KENTA with a Liger bomb. The race up the Ultimate X structure did not separate them either as both men claimed the X simultaneously.

This brought out GM Stephanie McMahon, who announced a 4 man tournament to take place over the next two IPW shows to crown an IPW Light Heavyweight Champion. Shortly after this announcement, Williams hits another Canadian Destroyer on Liger and raised the X himself to signify his intentions in this division.

9 Man Over the Top Rope Battle Royal to crown IPW World Heavyweight Champion:

This match will be remembered as one of the most rambunctious in wrestling history. Chaos reigned throughout and the shockwaves of which could be felt for months.

It was already announced that Shawn Michaels and Abyss would be entering first and second. But it was The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase who came out first. Clearly suffering from the match he had with Haku earlier in the night, he was determined to join the commentary as scheduled and lend his enlightened opinion.

The early match was a brawl with Abyss taking early charge. The big man thought he had HBK eliminated on a couple of occasions.

The introduction of Andre the Giant at three provided a completely different challenge for the monster Abyss. And the IPW debut of American Dragon Bryan Danielson at number 4 did not abate the Giants’ rampage. But at number 5, Yokozuna appeared. The two giants went at it and it looked like the Japanese legend had Andre teetering on the ropes. Only when the other five entrants joined in, were they able to eliminate a giant. But it was Yokozuna.

It was here when the pandemonium really began. ‘Zuna climbed back in the ring and ran roughshod through HBK, Abyss and Bryan Danielson as well as new entrants Mick Foley (6) and Samoa Joe (7). He reserved special punishment for Andre though, splashing him in the turnbuckle and a Banzai Drop. He was then dragged through the ropes to the outside where the assault continued. Andre was left bleeding on the outside, clearly unable to continue

Back in the ring, Edge joins the match as the final entrant at number nine and he hits Abyss and Danielson with spears before seeking out HBK, who meets him with Sweet Chin Music.

Haku comes out armed with a steel chair and despite him being an illegible entrant, he enters the ring. DiBiase bricks it at ringside but is laughing out loud as Haku attacks Mick Foley and Abyss

Shortly after this, eighth entrant Mike Awesome powerbombed Abyss through the announcers table from just inside the ring. However this incredible show of strength means he drops his guard and that leads to him getting suplexed out of the ring in a joint effort by Danielson and Samoa Joe.

This leaves four entrants, Michaels, Edge, Samoa Joe and Bryan Danielson.

Danielson reverses a Muscle Buster attempt into Cattle Mutilation near the corner. Michaels counters an Irish Whip by Edge with a flying forearm. Michaels nips up just as Danielson releases the submission and sends Danielson flying over the top rope with Sweet Chin Music. That leaves three in the ring.

Two of these three fight next week as announced by Stephanie McMahon earlier.

Edge tries to land a spear on HBK who sidesteps him. Edge flies through the second rope to the floor. Joe traps HBK in a drop toe hold and cinches in an STF. HBK taps but to no avail. Joe releases the hold and drags a weakened Michaels up for a Muscle Buster. Michaels fights it and ends up having a fistfight with Joe which he loses. Joe goes again for a Muscle Buster but HBK headscissors Joe and drags him over the top rope.

Joe crashes to the floor and HBK skins the cat and celebrates. DiBiase gets up from his commentary position and grabs a mic. He tells HBK that he did great, but not good enough.

DiBiase climbs in the ring, reminding Michaels that everyone has their price. He then tells Shawn to turn around.

HBK walks right into a chair shot by Edge. Edge drags up a slumped HBK and Dibiase nails with a shot from the Million Dollar Belt.

HBK is unconscious. DiBiase and Edge pick him up and dump him over the top rope.

Edge is the new IPW World Heavyweight Champion, thanks to the Million Dollar Man.

Stephanie comes out and the Corporate Alliance stands triumphantly in the middle of the ring.

Entry Order:
HBK

Exit Order:

Everyone seems committed so far, but they usually do around this stage. I hope everybody makes it up until the end.
Meh, I wouldn't place money on it.

I think I'm going to try to orchestrate the next one. I think it'll work a lot better and much more likely to finish.

i see your point Sly, i really do.

But i would love to have us lot prove you wrong!
Well, good luck.

Haven't you already lost two or three of the originals, including the guy that started it?

Which I found funny, considering he kept criticizing me for saying that people will quit or get banned.

We lost two, Shango got banned for a week, so he was replaced and then Cola was sent to prison, but as long as its during the drafting stage its not a big deal, now is were we need everyone to be reliable, which I think everyone is, we will find out though, the first round always go good, after that it get chaotic, at least I already have my second card set up and a couple of matches written.

I'm pissed that I can't do this. Especially since I already had most of my major storylines completely planned out through the five shows. I basically handed NBT a terrific roster, and he says he doesn't know what to do with it. It's gutwrenching. I don't wanna sound egotistical, but I think I had a great chance of winning this thing, and now it's runed!!

Meh, I wouldn't place money on it.

I think I'm going to try to orchestrate the next one. I think it'll work a lot better and much more likely to finish.

Such a doom and gloom. But yeah, you can have it.

Haven't you already lost two or three of the originals, including the guy that started it?

Which I found funny, considering he kept criticizing me for saying that people will quit or get banned.

I'm taking this to the prison, to watch Cola go ape shit.

Deadline is getting closer, just to clear things up, the shows must be posted by the end of Sunday, is that England time of US Time, GMT or ET?

Athleticism vs. Violence

Low Ki vs. Sabu

After losing to Taz in an IPW TV Title match, Low Ki was given a “special challenge for special talents” - an opportunity to use his strict martial arts prowess against the sick game plan of the homicidal, suicidal, genocidal Sabu. Never one to back down from a challenge, Low Ki accepted, promising to take out one of the former ECW’s most durable athletes in what was sure to be a horrific match.

***

Low Ki was thirsty for action early on, taking the fight to Sabu with a quick pace, a clear attempt to show that the superiority lay with his youth and pure athleticism, hard kicks and assorted strikes knocking slobber all over the canvas. However, his initial downfall came in trying to introduce weapons before his opponent could - tossing a steel chair at Sabu only to have it tossed back in his face as he ran at him. Blood was quickly spilled, and the permanent grimace on the soon battered Low Ki’s face was testament to his regret for his mistake. Eventually and somewhat inevitably, the warrior was set up on a table hanging between the ring and the rail, Sabu attempting to drive him through it with a leg drop. He managed to move out the way just in time, sending Sabu through the table on his lonesome. A shocking Warrior’s Way through the remnants of the table spelled the end.

Ultimate X for No. 1 Contender Spot

The Latin American Xchange w/ Konnan vs. The Hardy Boys

As LAX pointed out, the winners between the Briscoes and AMW, as in the new tag team champions, would need challengers to fill the gap. What’s the use in holding back the Latin revolution? As Paul Heyman pointed out, there was none, but they were going to have to go through the newly debuting Team Xtreme if they wanted it. To make such a match even more enticing, he added that the match would be an Ultimate X match, metal structure-style. High spots, low spots and everything-in-between spots - this match was bound to have them all

***

The match started out a blistering pace, all four contestants climbing the scaffold straight away, meeting in the middle and tumbling back down to the mat shortly thereafter. It would seem the Xchange had a big advantage, using their environment intelligently, their durability and versatility serving them well against the nearly one-trick Hardys. It was only the never say die attitude of the brothers that kept them in it in the early going, although it became significant when they finally gained the advantage - Homicide was tossed to the outside, Konnan received a baseball slide to the face and Hernandez was left to hold his own, which he did… to an extent. The big man was eventually set up on a table outside, Matt keeping him on it as Jeff sacrificed his own body, leaping off the scaffolding and taking out two of the four participants in the process. Homicide was waiting for the saner Hardy as he entered the ring, immediately going for the Gringo Killah. Matt, however, reversed it and kicked his opponent into the corner, before clambering up the scaffolding quickly. The two fought atop it and grabbed the briefcase held there simultaneously, only a Twist of Fate which bounced Homicide from the X separating the two.

War Machine vs. Animal

Rhino vs. Batista

A newly recruited Batista claimed dominion over all other wrestlers, biblical style, saying he was the most ruthless, animalistic athlete there was in IPW. A certain other man beast took exception and, well, they’ve been tearing chunks out of each other ever since.

***

The larger Batista took the fight to Rhino early on, but the latter’s intelligent use of leverage kept him in it. It wasn’t too long before both were busted open. The tide truly turned when Batista went for a spear into the steel stairs, only to be turned onto them and have a spear performed on him in return. Batista was battered from pillar to post from that point on, although Rhino’s blood lust couldn’t be sated. And early end to the match occurred when the War Machine introduced a steel chair.

(By DQ) Batista

Rhino battered ‘Tista about the ring with a chair, before setting up a table in the corner and driving him through it, before delivering a Rhino Driver from the top rope.

IPW Tag Team Championship
Bar Room Brawl

The Briscoe Bros. © vs. America’s Most Wanted

After their previous brutal encounter, in which The Briscoes emerged victorious to become the first ever IPW tag team champions, Paul Heyman was only too pleased to grant AMW a rematch - only this time, they’d have control of the stipulation so as to even the odds. A Bar Room Brawl seemed the obvious choice.

***

The four battered each other in the early going, while also helping themselves to the various alcoholic beverages lying around ringside, before battering their opponents with the containers. That said, it was obvious blood would be spilled early - and so it was, both teams bleeding, though Chris Harris had the worst of it, a copious amount of claret pouring out of him and down his chest, trapping him in the metaphorical crimson mask. Definitely at least a 0.9 on the Muta Scale. Storm was left on his own with the two brothers as Harris recuperated on the outside. The two tore him apart; it was double team moves galore and the crowd loved it. Harris, however, came out of nowhere, still wearing the crimson mask but also wielding a beer keg which he used to take the Briscoes apart, as Storm sneakily set a table up on the outside. It looked like this plan was going to backfire for a moment, Marc trying to throw the bloodied up Harris to the outside, only you have him skin the cat and throw the aggressor through the table instead. Meanwhile, Jay was unwittingly put into the Eye of the Storm and put down for the three count.

IPW Television Championship

Taz © vs. Rob Van Dam

A newly signed Rob Van Dam told Paul Heyman that he wanted to make an impact, two write history like he had in the old ECW. Heyman obliged, telling him that he had a title match with new Television Champion Taz. If he was going to make an impact, he was going to have every chance to.

***

Van Dam suffered in the early going and, as popular as Taz was, the crowd didn’t appreciate it. The Human Suplex Machine managed to get his opponent to the outside but there he fell victim to RVD’s lethal kicks and the match turned around, Van Dam using the environment around him to maintain his advantage. He managed to set Taz up on a table but, for the second time of the night, it was the agressor that ultimately was sent hurtling through it. A sneaky steel chair shot to face helped things along as well, before an irate crowd saw a broken RVD trapped and eventually choked out with a Tazmission.

IPW World Heavyweight Championship

Brock Lesnar © vs. CM Punk

After being cheated out of a title shot at the culmination of his feud with the cerebral assassin, Triple H, Punk finally got his title shot when he defeated Raven in a brutal match. However, he should have perhaps stayed well-hidden, as Lesnar didn’t appreciate the celebration of his new challenger, saying it didn’t matter who faced him - Kurt Angle and Triple H, two of the world’s best had fallen at his feet already, who did the straightedge superstar think he was, thinking he could topple the dominant champion?

***

The match started of slowly, the challenger less eager to lock up than the champion, likely due to the obvious size advantage. Punk made the best of being able to avoid Lesnar, hitting sneaky kicks and strikes, but nothing that could do any lasting damage. Eventually, it became obvious that Punk’s agility advantage was in fact not very significant at all, as Lesnar caught him and proceeded to throw him about like a rag doll, winding and battering him. Despite this, Punk fought back valiantly, hitting a surprise Pepsi Plunge as Lesnar set him up on the top rope. It wasn’t enough to dethrone the resilient champion though - another kick out after a GTS showed that. Lesnar had a surprise of his own with an F-5 out of nowhere. It wasn’t enough to keep Punk down though. Shockingly, neither was another F-5. Out of frustration, Lesnar went to the outside in order to retrieve a steel chair. The official attempted to get in his way, but was pushed aside. He lifted the chair to smash Punk but received a kick to the gut, followed by a strong knee to the face and an Anaconda Vice. It seemed the champion was on the verge of tapping when Mr. Kennedy emerged from nowhere, grabbing the steel chair and smashing Punk around the head with it. The referee immediately called for the bell.

(By DQ) CM Punk

After the match, Kennedy continued to beat down on Punk, hitting a Green Bay Plunge onto the chair.

Main Event
Hell in a Cell for No. 1 Contender Spot

The Undertaker vs. Triple H

Paul Heyman described The Undertaker as the biggest acquisition in company history after a shocking debut involving the deadman, but The Game had other things to say. According to the game, sore after his loss to heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker would never be as significant to professional wrestling as he was. Needless to say, the lights went out, came back on and he received a choke slam for his troubles. Demanding not be merely made an example of, he requested a match at the next pay-per-view, one named after the Phenom himself. Heyman told him he had been thinking similarly and it’d be the two of them headlining…inside the cell notorious with both men.

***

The crowd were hyped and not a single person was in their seat. That is, after both superstar’s overly long entrances. The two had a long, long stare down, The Game talking trash all the while. The place exploded as The Undertaker hit the first right hand and won the initial exchange. This was a sign of things to come, as he dominated in the early going, throwing Triple H about as if he were a child, and dumping him in to any solid objects he could find. A low blow later and the tables had turned, however, Triple H delivering right hands and some steel steps to the forehead, causing blood to spilled for the umpteenth time that evening. Getting them delivered back to him after Undertaker sat up caused him to bleed as well. As The Game scrambled away, The Undertaker signalled the end was near, locking his hand around the throat of his opponent, preparing for a choke slam. Unfortunately, Triple H was smart enough to deliver a kick to the abdomen and hit a surprise Pedigree. Both lay on the floor for a while unable to move, before a familiar figure made his way to ringside, urn in hand. It was Paul Bearer. The Undertaker eerily sat up. Moments later, Triple H did the same, looking on in bewilderment. Jumping up quickly, he went for a second Pedigree, only to be flipped over the top rope and soon through the door as well. In a desperate bid to flee, he ascened the cage, but was followed. He kicked at The Undertaker's hands desperately, but the Phenom could not be stopped. The two brawled and it looked as if Triple H had the upper hand as he went for another Pedigree only to have it reversed and bounce off the steel. The Undertaker delivered a kick to the gut and hit a Last Ride, only the cell gave way and The Game tumbled into the ring. 'Taker followed him down but, amazingly, Triple H kicked out of the ensuing pin. As he slowly clambered to his feet, seemingly only semi-conscious, The Undertaker scooped him up and delivered a To,bstone Piledriver on the ring steps left in the ring from earlier. The end wasn't near; it was the end.

The Undertaker

After the match, The Undertaker climbed the cell and posed triumphantly, while Paul Bearer rubbed his hands in glee, and the heavyweight champion appeared in order to observe his next opponent.

So we are now only waiting for MattMoses and Fizzle's shows and then it will be the end of round 1. Can't wait!
