TNA iMPACT! & ReAction LD for 11.04.10

How many legit draws do you think are in wrestling right now? I see a whopping one total and zero in TNA. No Dreamer is not a draw but to say no one has any interest in him is overstating your own personal thoughts.

So all matches that are not going to be 5-star and do not contain a draw are worthless? So 95% of ppv matches are worthless?

All I'm saying is that you have picked a fight to defend the fact that Tommy Dreamer is worth a damn in pro wrestling. Is this really the battle you want to pick?

I was saying that I can name 20 other guys or more that are deserving of a singles match on a Pay Per View but Tommy Dreamer is getting one. You have chosen to defend Tommy Dreamer without tangibly defending Tommy Dreamer as a singles competitor for this match. I feel that he is not worthy of a singles match on a Pay Per View because he's not worth a damn and that spot could be used for literally anyone else. If you want to continue to challenge that because you are psyched to see Tommy Dreamer in singles competition, power to you man. I am not, and I can almost guarantee you that most people will not be psyched about that match.

Where is your evidence no one cares about Dreamer or ECW related conflicts? I can understand you not but there sure was a ratings spike for that combo earlier this year.

A ratings spike? To what, 1.15??

I would suggest that no one cares about Tommy Dreamer. Not anymore. Except for the few loyal chanters in the iMPACT zone, and the marks like yourself (no offence) in the IWC.

I would have assumed that if RVD is as good as people say he is, they could come up with a better opponent for him than Tommy Dreamer. In 2010.

Exactly, couldn't he work with literally any young heel and elevate them by having a good match with said heel? Ideally, that heel might even win, but RVD has rarely lost in TNA. But even so, a solid match with RVD would put you over pretty well. Dreamer does not need that and he is just taking up a spot that coudl be used a lot more effectively.

:disappointed:I thought we were going to make through an entire episode without having to see these two.

JJ dreamer drew huge in ECW and Main Evented tons of there PPVs

What is "drawing huge" in an independent promotion exactly?

Even if he did, that's what, 11 years ago? This is 2010 and he's a lot older now. Drawing power usually has a finite limit to it. This is why you need to use your drawing power while you have it to put over the next generation. Dreamer's time (if he ever had one) is way in the past.

As I recall it, I don't think anyone drew huge in ECW. How do you define drawing huge? Filling their tiny arenas or selling miniscule numbers of PPV's?

Tommy Dreamer was never a big draw. He was a cult hero over a decade ago, and has been living off this legacy, this reputation, ever since. Which I actuially don't mind. Just as long as no one gives him a goddamn mic anymore. And I really don't think he should be in 1-on-1 matches at this stage in his career.

Except Joe popping up from the ramp!!

You mean like this?:

The premise of the match is that Fourtune caused the former allies to distrust and fight each other. The idea is to put over Fourtune.

By having a singles match between two guys NOT in Fortune? Wouldn't it work better to just have internal tension between EV2 which costs them the match against Fortune, thus costing them a member who will be fired? That seems more logical to me than giving RVD and Dreamer a singles match.

If anything, I would have found a match for RVD and booked around it properly. You could use this story integrated in it. Heck, put him against AJ and have the paranoia cost him his match to put AJ over. That would work a lot better to me.

Too bad he's not doing this stuff in the ring. That video was cool.

I agree. Has anyone else noticed that the champ has not actually been in the Impact Zone is 2 weeks. For Impact, that is. No matches, no promos, nothing. Just videos made beforehand.

Joe was awesome. Don't tell me you missed it.

Actually, to be honest, Joe was pretty impressive tonight. And I am by no means a fan of his, in fact, I'm typically a pretty vocal critic of his.

Someone must have told him there would be an extra dessert cart in the back for him if he could come to ringside and impress tonight. Brought out passion in him like I've not seen in a long time.

It's old school style. The champion makes rare TV appearances.
