Yeah, they tried building the Legends/TV title quite a few times. It never worked. At that point cutting your losses makes more sense to me that the continue trying to push a title you have no need of for the sake of convention.

When AJ and Williams had it and actually fought over it, the belt looked important. You can make any title important if you actually defend it. The belt means nothing because it's been booked into nothing.

When AJ and Williams fought over it everyone was bitching that AJ was so far down the card that he was competing for a meaningless title. The belt has had no credibility since Booker T held it, and has no value as a television prop outside of "providing you with something to complain about". It has not enriched a feud since Booker/AJ and with TNA's current set up they simply don't have the time, nor the need, for the title to be a regular part of the television show.

You will note that they have already successfully built a loaded PPV card in which every match has heat going into it. At that point why the fuck would you need the title?


They do love that fake sign spot in TNA.
